  • what sounds better, touring exhaust or sport?

  • Man I need help. I just bought a 2006 ss/sc with G85 package. Only has 49k miles,..Problem is, it doesn't feel that fast. I know what 0-60 feels like in 6 secconds. It feels more like 7.5. I could have bought SRT4 for same price and it feels like a 5 sec 0-60. I swear it felt faster when I 1st test drove it..Any ideas on possible issues with the car..It's bone stock too. Advice on upgrades?

  • so the sport runs cheaper than the touring(not sure why), but is the sport really loud on the highway? I have a 6 year old who loves cars, and upgrades, but I don't want to hurt his ears. My stock muffler on my ss has blown a few baffles, and has a hole in it, so I am going to get this because the dealership said this one was cheaper by about 200 bucks.

  • you dont know anything about cars lol, 72,4 was the slalom speed actually, and the ferrari f430 did 71.9, not to say the cobalt is better in any way than an f430 because it obviously isnt, but that has 310 horsepower more. mustangmikeca. lol your making yourself look so stupid in all these videos

  • i also came across the corsa exhaust which sounds decent so maybe jbp vortex header into corsa catback...its a little expensive but it will prob be the best sounding exhaust for the balt, also it will have some pretty high gains

    if you run a full exhaust with headers, yes. any car with forced induction can gain power with less restriction out the tail

The Cobalt was the first car I bought on my own, I used to own an 05 WRX with and Invidia downpipe, SPT catback, SPT intake and Cobb stage 2 tune but the p.o.s tranny blew out because of the WRX's notorious "glass transmission" btw I took out STI's and Evo's in my WRX and now in my Cobalt and I actually have had a license for 4 years do me a favor and copy and paste your next comment into Microsoft Word and spell check it before commenting back...

  • Sounds nice! I saw a cobalt SS with an aem intake and a GM stage 2 upgrade. His best run of the day was 14.0 at a 104mph. I love the Si what a wonderful vehicle, redlines alittle over 8000rpm's matched with the beautiful vtec sound. I just dont think it has what it takes to beat the cobalt in a STRAIGHT LINE. You throw some high performance summer tires on the Si, then you have a fun and reliable track car.

  • all i'm saying, is that i'm not impressed with the 205hp rating with a S/C American car. its not impressive. yes you all have more torque then the SI, however, on a honda, thats an easy fix, and we dont come supercharged or turbo'ed. i drive a mustang as well, so i'm not a hater for american cars, however chevy should no be trying to compete with JAP cars, in the 4 banger industry, it's gay.

  • Only advantage to a civic si is that it will last longer. I was stomping civic si's in my malibu maxx ss.....and my cobalt ss is a hell of a lot faster.

  • the civic si has a k20z3 motor which is actually 210hp. its the same engine as the RSX-S. with intake header exhaust, a SI would beat your SS. i prefer honda over SRT-4s, however they can be fast mother fuckers. an will eat a cobalt!

  • not nessarily. factor in your weight, lag, and the time it takes for your car to accellerate. i think both the SI and cobalt would win. its about the driver man. i've raced and beated mustang GT's in my car. i bang gears right at the limiter, so i use all my VTEC. then i RAPED a STI in my mustang. he had over 430hp.AWD

  • and i belive my car and this cobalt are about the same weight, as well as i have better gearing in my car. i also have VTEC which kicks in a 6200rpm, and redlines at 8000, rev limiter 8,200 rpms. with a CAI, header, exhaust, were neck and neck, and you have a S/C? what kind of American engineering is that? 6psi turbo on a stock SI will give you 280hp, EASY.
