  • Wow...haven't heard this in twenty-five years. Thanks, HBtiger99!

  • great song but why does that ugly couples pic keep coming up??

  • 好听!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just finished watching the amazing movie of pretty and pink and been wanting to put this in my playlist i love this this movie and most of all the song<3

  • i love this song <3

  • No son de mi tiempo, pero lindas de verdad :)

  • i long for the 80's again...i tell my kids about how great the music back then was, compared to the manufactured crap of today...you don't need talent anymore, for the majority of today's crap.

  • 80s have the best music

  • Hey, if they would've made Pretty in Pink now instead of the 80's, Duckie would've got the girl because dorkiness seems to be the new "hot" these days.

  • In case y'all forgot! <3 80s

  • You're all idiots... We don't JUST have bieber and gaga. You're an idiot to think that. There are SO many great artists out there today that are flooding with talent, they're just underrated. So stop winging, Bieber and Gaga are the most popular, but so what? they're not the only artists these days -,- in 30 years people will be saying, Ohh why couldn't we have Coldplay? Mika? SNSD? Alex Lloyd? Marina and the Diamonds? MGMT? Beyonce? Pheonix? but it also depends on your music taste..

  • @TheDellanator true! but no one can be tha oldyz ^.^

  • @multigiant007 yeah probs ;)

  • @TheDellanator btw u forgot tha killerz! :S

  • @TheDellanator

We are talking about real music played with real instruments. How many of the good artists that you mention actually play an instrument? Most use computers and rhythum machines to package their songs now. Sure their are many around that play their own instruments but most of them have been going strong from the 80's and 90's. That's the true difference between most good 80's music and most good 2000+ music.

  • @HowToShopGreen Yeah but they're still singing. I mean I think MGMT uses effects, but they still have really good voices naturally. And all the other bands I mentioned. A few of them do actually use real instruments. Like coldplay.

  • @TheDellanator yeah, there were bad artists in the 80's too, but the good ones are what live on.

  • @TheDellanator I agree with you to many shiitt artiest out their I love the music I grew up with the 80's and 90's. Todays pop is nothing like the 80's or 90's any one with a pc or mac can generate a tune and shape their voice and burn a cd and think their great.

  • I really wish I was 16 in the eighties, instead I have Bieber and Ke$ha, it's like some sick joke God played on me

  • @Disordervore I agree, they had all the good music :)

  • 38 People Are ASSHOLES !!! !

  • @ac2584149 39 now

  • i love pretty in pink and OMD...and im 12 lol

  • @TurnUpTheLove323

  • Omigawd I love the beginning!!!!!!

  • This song takes me back to sweet memories.

  • love this song makes me feel young again!!!!!!

  • PRETTY IN PINK. <33 HAHA LOVE this song SO MUCH. I'd kill to be in the 80s right now. But instead I'm stuck being 16 in 2011. But this song. Is so amazing. <33

  • @SnowWhiteQueen29 yea im 14 in these awful modern times...it SUCKS

  • @NormanBatesRocks911 Tell me about it! I hate the modern days! Teenagers are so stuck up

  • @NormanBatesRocks911

Kids like you make me unbearably angry.

You shouldn't think your time sucks, and reminisce in a time you weren't even born in.

Live your life and enjoy what you have now, because in the future you'll be missing this "modern time" like how adults now miss the 80's.

  • @IGNIITED Im allowed to like what I like and it happens to be this music so get off my back

  • @SnowWhiteQueen29 I think a lot of us would....I was only 4 years off!! haha.

  • @SnowWhiteQueen29 make 1986-7 right now, live it, love it like I did.

  • @SnowWhiteQueen29 I was 20 in 1981 and you're right, there was a lot of great music in that decade. But now I'm 50. And you're 16! I'd KILL to be 16 again!! :-)

  • 38 dislikes ... go home and stay there

  • The new album is crazy good. "History of Modern"

  • PRETTY IN PINK :3 ♥

  • Gotta Love this....

  • I won't leave You...ever! ♥

  • thumbs up if you heard this song on not another teen movie chyeahh!

  • great song pity the guy looks like david beckham at 2:10

  • Its interesting that whoever put this vid together is using all these happy photos. This is actually a break-up song, and is meant to be sad/blue.

  • this song is worse then a failed abortion dieing in a hole

  • BEST SONG! heard it on the radio and just had to remember the chorus lyrics and search it up

  • I'm skipping my prom because it won't have good music like this.

  • I had this song in my head all day. "Psych" is constantly taking me back to the 80's. Oh the good ole days when you hair was pink, nylons were purposely ripped, the music was weird, and coke was snorted off mirriors...

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBuffyBrunswick Psych is such a great show!

  • @ftranchi the 80's were so fun :)

  • @TheBuffyBrunswick Psych is such a great show! I love this song......Long live the 80's!

  • what a song reminds me that the 80s was the best decade 4 songs

  • 2nd to pandoras box,,,,,,,,,,louise brookes is a star

  • omg this song remind me of my brothers high school reunion lol those were the days

  • I might be a 90s kid but I gotta say this is good music better than most of the music now a days! =)

  • This reminds me of saturday, I went to a wedding, I met a girl there, and when I saw her I felt at so peace with the world, then I asked her to dance, she accepted, after that I went on the balcony she followed me out, we talked on there for one hour until I had to leave, it sucks because she lived all the way in Toronto, and I had to stay, and when I left this song came in my mind...

  • on of the best music tks so much

  • I was born in the wrong era.

  • I LOVE Synth Pop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • iStockphoto....

  • The 80's were one of the best times....people use to dance.

  • if you leave dont look back i love this song i love 80's music like take on me if you leave she sells sentuary

  • Definitivamente la música es un lenguaje universal. Es increíble toda la sensualidad, toda la sensibilidad que puede sentirse en esta canción. Es sencillamente hermosa.

  • John Hughes movies!!! That is what this makes me think of.

  • lmao @ stockphotos

  • thumbs up if you got here because of modern family

  • @toxicpj Nope. I like this song cuz I like the song and I do not call out for trendy derivative "thumbs ups" like everyone else online.

  • @CalgarSkull does it not create a sense of warmth and community if you can relate to someone in some way. also i didn't mention anything to do with liking it you moron. stop googling fancy words to put into your poorly thought out replies. you're a fucking idiot if you like this song anyway.

  • @toxicpj Only a fucking dunce like you would think "Derivative" which I used correctly was a "Fancy" word. and NO it does not create warmth or community when you act like a drone and speak in trendy phrases and make insipid shout-outs about a show that re-used a song that should be only appreciated in it's original form. Not "Hey look at me I watch this show and now everyone acknowledge that by boosting my self esteem.

  • @CalgarSkull Shut the fuck up. How would I get a self esteem boost? Who the fuck are you to have a go at me over something so trivial and harmless. You really need to re-assess your values if you felt the need to mock a bit of harmless fun. Also your grammar is extremely poor, "now everyone acknowledge that by boosting my self esteem", doesn't even make sense. You could have said "by giving me a thumbs up" or "now everyone acknowledge that and boost my self esteem". Mug.

  • @CalgarSkull Also it does make people smile if it's the right type of "shout-out" rather than "if you're watching this in 2011 etc,". This song sounds like the theme tune for a terrible kids show. Most music is terrible in its original form or not, especially music from the 80s (minus a few gems). Gone downhill since the golden years of the Stones.

  • @toxicpj 80's are a good era. The Stones even have some hits from then......"You're not the only one, .....something something.....Oh "Mixed emotions"

  • This song came up in my grocery store and I swear I started dancing in the dairy isle! :)

  • my favorite part is when he says 7 years went under the bridge

  • OMD represent the 80's for me, I've seen quite a few 80's bands recently and OMD are still by far the best sounding, just as they were back then...

  • super hit, i give you 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000stars

  • Qué belleza! Seguramente escucharé esto el 15 en el corona!!!!!!!!! :D

  • Stockphoto.

  • Play this at my school dance instead of lady gaga!!!!

  • @NormanBatesRocks911

80 rocks...i totally agree and to all who knows real good music

  • @NormanBatesRocks911 You have good taste ♥♥

  • @NormanBatesRocks911 I call her Lady CaCa !!!

  • Just finished watching Pretty in Pink. Trying to keep that 80's vibe

  • One of the best of a great decade.

  • 80´s rules :P

  • The instruments.. I think put me back to the 80's then the vocals come in and it's like I'm actually there if I close my eyes.. then I open them again and I find myself stuck in 2011 -:(

  • @xFourStepsBehindx, a bit like me albeit I came from the 90's.

  • @xFourStepsBehindx

The closest you can come is to watch 16 candles in the dark. Lasts longer than one song anyway.

  • @xFourStepsBehindx I can relate....the lyrics were more real then...deeper

  • @xFourStepsBehindx Wish i was born in the 80's! Teenagers now suck! all the think about is sex and drugs

  • @ring2910 Then you probably wouldn't like the 80's ...Trust me

  • 80's forever

  • Love it love it love it!

  • Makes me smell the 80's, I miss it........Great song

  • This instantly makes me think of 80's movies. Awesome song.

  • This is one of my top 20 favorite songs... ever!

  • omg its one of the best bands of all time omd gr8 upload downloading it right now thx a bunch :) i loved the 80,s and still do :) peace and love to all

  • Why does this generation have to suck so hard

  • the modulation in this song always catches me by surprise and it's always lovely

  • What a classic!

  • The musical rhythm at 3:05 is 80's legendary! I never forgot the tune nor all the musical brilliance nor as well I shall never forget that decade as I lived through the mid-80's as a kid!!!

  • why the fuck was i born in 1994

  • @JepMcFly because your parents were busy growing up in the 80s!! hehe!! Not to be mean but honestly I am so glad so read a comment from such a young person!

  • @JepMcFly I know right?! I wish I was born in like 1973 or something instead of 1995!! -__- So I could've been a totally tubular teen in the 80's!!!!!!!!!! LOL! xD

  • I love this song, but it's so depressing.

I felt so bad for Duckie in Pretty in Pink. =((

  • @Gameprowler713 why did you feel bad? he got paired up with a hot blonde xD! im prob the youngest guy here, 16.

  • What are you all talking about? I'm twenty (born 1991) and I love this song! Gotta love Molly Ringwald :D

  • I still remember when teenagers actually danced to this song. I have a hunch today's kids would hear it and say, "Ew."

  • Comment removed

  • @brownies4you That's life though. Most kids are going to want only current stuff, and that's totally normal. Most of them would likely say "eeww" to a lot of music from 8-10 years ago, to say nothing of this song which is a good 25 years old. Even in the late 90s, there were a lot of kids saying, "eaau, the 80s".

  • @brownies4you I'm one of the teens who prefers dancing to THIS then today's music =]

  • Good moments, nice memories.....

  • why did i always think this was the cure?

  • @banklikefrankwhite1 : It would definitely have to be the atmospheric intro, which is one of the signature traits in The Cure's music.

  • @Lunatic4Bizcas hey, thanks for not making me feel like a dumbass...at least you can see why i would mess that up

  • i hate wat u did whit this song .

  • yes,yes,yes

  • omd sind mega geil andi b from m

  • @mandylol100 i wish wish ..i could answer...but we can only love what we know...im in love with all the 80s..

  • @mandylol100 Because technology has excelled so much that we can now make a horrible singer into a near perfect singer.

  • Its a shame that so many people (mainly americans) only know them from this song. Its a good tune, but far from their best. Architecture & Morality is great album.

  • in germany music completely disappeared from TV screen except these stupid talent shows. It doesn´t surprise, that all escape to youtube vids. In the 80ies we had 24h vid clips and smoked funny things ;-) We live in a cultural vacuum now !
