Wow, look at that rusty piece. Road salt's tough on un-painted steel and rust eh? That would have cost a fortune to restore.

Ferry services bring commerce unlike bridges. oh, and inconvenience... yes. I left out inconvenience.

I heard they're not even going to replace the bridge and are instead going to bring the ferry service back instead! They don't really need bridges everywhere, do they?

Ferry service (car carriers with ice breakers) should be running by the end of the month. The reconstruction of the bridge should begin in April after all of the debris has been cleared from the lake. The estimated date of completion is Summer 2011.

The bridge was demolished at 10:02 12-28-09.  By explosives, the bridge was dropped into the lake.
