A while ago I found your Myspace from the RRS video with your music in it, and I though your work was great. Found the link again today and I'm loving your work even more, as soon as I get the chance I plan to buy your album
Sweet. Be on the look out for my next vid: Rational Response Squad. It's going to be DOPE! 10 times better than these two! Thanks and may Jesus bless you!
With that said, to me, it's not about gov'ts changing the world, or us using the force of gov't to change others, it's about us changing the world, it's about our freedom to do so and to let others not do so if that's their choice.
There's a place for gov't and centralized regulation. Foreign aid isn't it.
I guess all I can say to that is I disagree. I believe Government, when used wisely, is the best way to help those suffering around the world. I think to allow ppl to "choose" to live under brutal tyrants, or to "choose" to live in poverty and disease is deeply immoral and callous or just naive. It is true that we can fuck things up pretty bad (Iraq), but we can also do a great deal of good if we have the resolve and intent to do so.
The % of our GDP we give to foreign aid now is callous enough. Under Ron Paul, that number would surely decrease even further given his libertarianism. Free-market is very bad too, for many reasons, the effect such a policy would have on the environment is just one. I think RP stumbles on some good ideas (his stance on the war on drugs, for example, or his opposition to the war in Iraq), but his underlying philosophy is very dangerous.
I think you have the libertarian message confused though. It's not about isolationism, but about interactionism and respect for each others differences.
As Thomas Jefferson said, "Peace and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none." Nothing "isolationist" about that.
One of the problems I have with Ron Paul (I'm assuming you are a supporter of his) is that his, non-interaction-ism as you call it, is deeply immoral. It ignores our responsibility to the poor countries of the world who are either being held hostage by their leaders, or are dying of disease and starvation. In this respect I think Libertarians are wrong. Also, I don't think Thomas Jefferson's views on foreign relations are very relevant today. It was a much 'larger' world then.
I do really appreciate the comment though, thank you for the compliment on the lyrics. You should check out part two. Let me know what you think. Thank you!
Good shit right here man.You should make a video for Rational Response Squad I fuckin love that song!!!! and love playing it for my christian friends.
You should have included Richardson. I had my fingers crossed for Obama/Richardson 2008. Otherwise, double dope rap - good flow and intelligent.
