I absolutely love this. Wrath was the epitome of a "New Generation" esque gimmick wrestler while Goldberg's gimmick was just that he trained NHB/MMA and destroyed his opponents. That's how you get someone over. Not with makeup and costumes, but with looking awesome.

@WillBlanks This was Goldberg's 4th pro match. It's also the one he introduced the Spear to go with the Jackhammer. IF I'm not MISTAKEN, Wrath is Manny Fernandez, and Goldberg asked him before the match just to trust him on that spear. Goldberg never buried his head into anyone's stomach or ribs. He used his shoulders and arms to do the spear, thus preventing injury like happens in the NFL when someone spears another player.

WWF/WWE was good in the 80s. It's been horrible for a long time. I started watching WCW again because of Goldberg and then was finished with wrestling once WWE absorbed everything. It's absolute garbage now.

Once Goldberg runs through you, your momentum is done. IMO, the streak went on too long. It killed all of WCW's mid-card talent, leaving only a few big guys who could get a pop (Hogan, DDP, a few others). And once the streak ended, Goldberg's "invincible" gimmick was done. So it worked in the short-term, and was horrible for the long-term.
