@yourworsthell It is much more a sequel than a remake. With the exception of a few details, this could have easily taken place after A Nightmare On Friday The 13th (which is not as good as this movie because Derek Mears is just a much better Jason than Ken Kerzinger).

I have to admit that I would have liked the movie just a LITTLE better (at least) if they let Jason speak at least once, like you did here.

In the scene where Jason brings Clay's bag with him and leaves it near Whitney, he could have looked at the fliers and said, "Someone is looking for you," and before he left again, she could have said, "Please don't kill my brother," to which he could have responded, "I'll try not to," thus explaining why he does not kill Clay.
