  • Minority home loans to minorites who had no assets, no education, no previous equity in anything, no job, no source of income to speak of, no hope in 100 lifetime's of paying even so much as a dime of any of it back and who wouldn't qualify for even the smallest of loans on their very best days...but it was "racist" not to give them the money. So they bought the homes that they couldn't afford with money that they didn't qualify for with no money down and they lost them just as fast.Surprising.

  • Great vid

  • liberal democratic political preference which created this disaster. THAT IS THE TRUTH! It can not be refuted! Goodbye Democrat majority in Congress.

  • Anyone who knows anything about what caused the housing crisis is AWARE that it all goes back to political correctness. They had to lower the standards to create more "diversity" (defined by skin color and people who aren't "white") in home-ownership.

  • Ameritards cannot even take responsibility for their own financial mistakes, Big Brother will come in and save them. You buy a house that puts a big strain on your monthly budget, then, you go out and buy a bunch of junk with a credit card, then, you get a heloc so you can go out and buy more junk. Why has this society lost all discipline, because they can rely on Big Brother to bail them out.

  • Bailouts are a bad idea.

  • Bushe's budget was $800 bilion, obummer doubled that in 2009 and will double it again in 2010 and 2011 not counting health care. Libturds don't like facts and truth it interferes with their ideology which trumps both.

  • Time to unwind this mess. I do not know if the USA can realistically escape the "socialist" title anymore. Let see, we prop up Amtrak, USPS, Many Airlines, Fan- Fred to name a few. Then we have a ponzi scheme name Social Security. Medicare and Medicaid are two programs that have huge future obligations they cannot meet, oh I guess they can by printing more debt. Am I supposed to consider this a serious country? Oh, let's not forget the constant globetrotting missions the military is always on.

  • ann coulter rules. stop being afraid of the truth!

  • it's amazing, Republicans destroy the economy, and some how because they are voted out it's the democrats fault? This is astounding.

No conservative president has left with more money then they got in.

  • "...destroy the economy...." -- how?

    Fannie Mae -- FDR

Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) -- Carter, Clinton.

Forcing banks to lower their lending standards -- Democrat party platform; Barney Frank & Chris Dodd, and ACORN backed by the Clinton-modified CRA.

Democrats ferociously defended their federal mandates that forced banks into suicidal lending practices, and attacked anyone who dared to notice, such as President Bush's economic adviser, N. Gregory Mankiw. And that was Bush's FIRST year.

  • Fannie and freddie did not cause the subprime mess. the word subprime denoted a loan that was below the standards of the GSEs and the majority were issued before the GSEs got invovled in the subprime markets.

CRA had an effect, but contraty to what you claim, it alleviated the problem..

etc. The republicans are and have always been the true fascist party.

  • Even if your claims held merit, which they don't, your logic is that a single bullet can't kill you because the other 99% of you will be bullet-free.

Also, from FDR's fascist programs, onward, the government nationalized the home mortgage market. Democrats, from Carter to Clinton, aggressively increased the scope, authority and enforcement of their ever expanding mandates. ACORN types BOASTED on their web pages of the banks they forced to submit to their suicidal lending practices.

  • None of your claims have any merit. First of all, it is unlikely that CRA and the GSEs started the subprime mess, because it doesn't fit the known facts. And, you don't need the GSEs or CRA to explain why the subprime bubbles were formed. Securitization, unaccountable middle men (brokers), and bad lending standards can explain the subprime frenzy as everyone believed they could pass the hidden losses to someone else and keep the profits. CRA regulation reduced predatory lending and subprime.

  • The "known facts" are the federal gov't began nationalizing the home mortgage industry with FDR; that their ever expanding mandates forced lenders to abandon sound lending practices; that race hustlers led the charge; that under the happy-sounding slogan of Affordable Housing, such fascism turned a $150,000 house into a $500,000 house; that implicit gov't guarantees allowed levels of leverage otherwise unobtainable.

Oh, and you misused "Predatory Lending". You meant "Red Lining".

  • @Bellator656 The government explains away the subprime mess by blaming the lenders, but the lenders wouldn't have created the loan products if they couldn't offload them to someone else. The GSE's backed these products. That's a fact.

  • @Bellator656 I suppose the trillions of money from federal reserve via fannie and freddie didn't encourage securitization at all.

  • Fannie and Freddie backed 80%of the sub prime mortgages. They didnt alleviate shit, they caused the crisis. What country are you from? Oh never mind, your from Finland. Worry about your own shit.

  • @Bellator656 Right but you forget that F&F bought trillions in these bundles to meet their own low income lending requirements. Trillions in liquidity that the market would never have provided.

  • Thats because the last two years of Bush's administration he became a democrat. He, Pelosi, Obama and Reid decieded to spend, spend spend. All spending orignates in the house--I doubt you know that. The irony is that the democrats blame him for signing what they drew up, approved of, and submited to him.

ACORN and affirmative action loans is another story.

  • No. The political division between the Bush admin and democrats remained (remember insuring children? Bush vetoed thats quite a sacrifice to save moneys). The fact of the matter is that spending like a masturbating, slobbering brazen drunkard sailor has been the Republican policy for the last 25+ years. The crucial difference is that the Reps want to spend on various corporate welfare and warfare, at the cost of the majority, while usually under the democrats, incomes of the majority grow.

  • you clearly have no idea whats going on in the world. obama is spending far more money than bush already

  • OK Rumpelstiltskin. Go back to sleep for another 30 Years. While the Democrats run the Country more into the ground than they already have then wake up and Blame the Republicans Again

  • @sonoflasalle You're just an Obama drone repeating media talking points, with no critical thought whatsoever.

  • Coulter is great!

    Liberalism is a mental disorder!

  • There ya go; argue that the opposing side is defunctional, that'll show how smart you are!!

    Ann Coulter for VP 2012!

  • How do you like sucking Barry's asshole?

  • Van Jomes for President-Demcorat Party 2012.

  • Thats cause when they are qualified then they dont get any loans and the only time they are not qulified they get loans. This is the America we are living in. The poor are not to blame.

  • I think it was Republicans that pushed home ownership and the follow on by Democrats was to force the system to offer it to the lower end over their voters in the name of anti-racism and equality.

  • The most intelligent answer on Youtube. Thank you good sir.

  • Deception certainly requires intelligence, but describing it by that admirable term alone is, itself, either more of it or pure ignorance.

Fannie Mae and the other GSEs at the fascist core of the mortgage meltdown are the spawn of Democrats.

From FDR to Clinton, they grew & protected GSEs their ever expanding federal mandates. ACORN and such BOASTED of forcing lenders to submit to suicidal lending practices. All while Democrats spewed derision at anyone who tried to warn against it.

  • I hate this bitch but she is spot on sometimes.

  • I'm a low income head of household and the low fisrt time buyers deal, got me into a house, we found an easy way to resell the property for one hundred thousands dollars over the original value and we made a profit of sixty thousand dollars, I end up buying a houses in Vegas for a real low price and my mortgage payment is less than seven hundred dollars per month Tax and inssurance included, it was a good year thank you. Democrats!!

    Ann Coulter get laid!!

  • Everybody who could not afford the home they wanted to buy also. Not only were unqualified blacks latinos etc. allowed to take loans forced out of banks by a racist affirmitave action program known as the CRA, which first was a lawsuit enabling reg, then a fucking quota system. For instance if a "minority" wanted to own a home they could not afford although the 100,000 dollar house was in their range they could still bank rob a bank for the 500,000 loan/mortage erc. That and the white yuppies.

  • There is enough blame to go around. The Democrats started the ball rolling with their vote buying social engineering schemes. When the Republicans"FINALLY" attempted to address the problems, the Democrats threatened to call them Racists. At that point the Republicans folded like a cheep suit. It appears that as long as both parties are dysfunctional, the media get to set the agenda on how the country is run.

  • Democrat regulaton was what caused the global crisis we see now. Barney Frank and Maxine Watters were caught red handed forcing banks to take bad loans.

  • Let's give Obama his due, too.

The Chicago Sun-Times boasted in their Obama slobberfest, "Strong, silent type", how Obama sued banks on behalf of ACORN for the "crime" of not lending to those who couldn't repay, or what Democrat race-hustlers call "Red Lining". Of course, now they blame the victim banks for doing what Democrats forced them to do, calling it "predatory lending".

Democrats are one long running bad joke against humanity.

  • Amen. Right on!

  • Bush was a rookie compared to Obama's spending. Other than bailout and amnesty, I generally like Bush. President Hussein is a nightmare waiting to fall asleep.

  • Other than the things he did right, you pretty much liked Bush, huh. lol

  • I know you and Barry like the bailouts. LOL

  • shut the fuck up assholes, obama, bush, clinton, acorn all fucked the world economy, bush didnt cut the taxes low enough and he spent on a deficit, obama lied to these low scum assholes to get into homes they couldnt afford making a quick buck for himself and his cronies and dumping the bill on the responsible citizens,RON PAULISM AND AUSTRIAN ECONOMICS IS WHAT WILL SAVE THE WORLD ECONOMY

  • Hyper-partisanship gets you nowhere other than horrible consequences resulting from a blind allegiance to that political party.

Coulter is wrong to say it is the fault of just one political party. While the liberal sensibility of helping minorities was likely the catalyst for this present crisis, it is the elitist unbridled "free market" agenda (which often times masquerades as having populist appeal) that helped fuel the crisis.

  • How so?

The collapse of the credit markets is directly attributed to the fascist enterprises (Fannie, Freddie), and fascist regulation & thug enforcement (FFIEC CRA, ACORN) which federally mandated piss-poor lending practices. That's not a "free market agenda". In fact, it was free markets -- sound lending practices -- that had heretofore GUARDED against such idiocy.

Further, tripling the price of housing, as such race-based fascism did, isn't "helping minorities".

  • Like I said before, the liberal sensibility of helping minorities was a catalyst, however it was the natural working of the unbridled free market that fueled the crisis

Once these bad loans were approved, they became publicly traded. The free market somehow forgot or didn't care that the loans were bad. Since, in an unbridled free market, greed is good, misguiided government implementation of liberal sentiment isn't something anybody would care about until the problem was impossible to ignore

  • "Like I said before..."

Reciting the same mythology after I exposed it as such isn't a rebuttal.

"The free market somehow forgot or didn't care ..."

No, the markets -- as well as sovereign nations around the globe -- took the US government at its implied word that the core underpinning it all (Fannie, Freddie) was safe and federally guaranteed.

As it turns out, it was just another Democrat-beloved ponzi scheme.

Further, one party -- Democrats -- are promising lots & lots more of the stuff.

  • Your right, but it wasn't meant to be a rebuttal. It's called a concession. I conceded that misguided implementation of liberal sensibility catalysed the problem. You've exposed no myth.

However, I'm also alluding to a far bigger problem, not specific to any one party's political philosophy.

Everyone knows liberal sensibility didn't help, but there's a far more fundamental problem in that unmacceptable risk is inherently built into what passes for our "free market" system.

  • "unmacceptable risk" as determined by who?

Yours is the spawn of the fascist policies so adored by Democrats, all under the guise of "help".

The underpinning of a free market is that each has the LIBERTY to decide for themselves what is acceptable.

Regarding your continued absolution of Liberalism as merely misguided goodness, my post was a rejection of such tripe. After all, we know their leaders aren't so stupid as to not know the toxic effects of their fascism by now.

  • Unacceptable risk is built into the free-market system in the form of externalities.

These so-called externalities can be very large. Now in financial institutions, it's far worse. They're in the business of taking risks. If they're well-managed, say Goldman-Sachs, they calculate the potential cost to themselves if there's a loss. The important words are TO THEMSELVES. They don't calculate what's called SYSTEMIC RISK: the effect on the whole system, if I go bust. And there's a huge effect

  • There is no "externality" that can out do federal mandate, e.g., the fascist enterprises, regulations, policies and enforcers mentioned earlier.

Worse yet, unlike a free market, wherein those smart enough to observe and adapt to risk/reward, including "externalities", survive and overtake the stupid, the un-free type doesn't allow it. In fact, it rewards failure and punishes success. That's merciless, but allows the depraved to feel good about it.

    EVOLVE.

  • Regulation is not tantamaount to fascism. I already acknowleged that misguided implementation of liberal sensibility catalysed this particular crisis.

Let me put it a different way. If it wasn't the mortgage crisis, it would have been something else.

Activity from the Dot-Com-Boom had to be redirected somewhere to avoid a recession. Instead of infrastructure, the more conservative elements wanted it invested in the private sector, which is ALSO what led to this crisis.

  • "Regulation is not tantamaount to fascism" -- neither is it tantamount to free markets. Beyond that, I don't know what new bit of mythology you were trying to preach there.

The dot-com fraud was just that; a California based stock-kiting scheme whose veil of legitimacy relied on the cover of the SEC. Much like all other federal bureaucracies and their endless "externalities", which they inflict at the stroke of their pen, they were silent as church mice.

  • "Free market" enthusiasts need to stop kidding themselves because the American model is not implementing free market policies. Everyone knows it.

Your blind allegiance to your party is causing you to see things from a narrow perspective. The economic crisis stems from a wide-spread systemic problem in American economic policy that TRANSCENDS political party affiliation.

  • The economic crisis stems " -- from the fascist policies which I discussed. Your endless, baseless decrees don't refute that, or anything else.

There is but ONE party blaming free markets; pointing to the toxic effects of their fascism as if it's evidence of the need for more of the same.

Their monopolistic control of all media allows them to get away with it. Some even recite their propaganda whilst distancing themselves from their own politics.

  • The roots of this present crisis go back to the early 1970s when finance was liberalized or freed from the constraints of the post-war period. The constraints of the post-war period (1945-1970) were instituted by the US and UK for a reason: because it was assumed correctly that allowing governments to control capital movements & currencies would provide a basis for rapidly expanding growth in trade, which indeed happened. It's called the golden age of modern capitalism.

  • We just had this discussion. I provided you with the specifics of the fascist governance which spawned this mortgage mess, and otherwise debunked your socialist mythology.

Spreading it across a broader time-line doesn't help your implied argument FOR more of the fascist policies, which spawned the problems, though I have no interest in tracking your latest batch across the millenia.

By the way, outing Democrat mythology isn't "hyper-partisan".

  • Government intervention isn't necessarily the problem. Wrong government involvement is problematic. Somtimes the lack of government involvement is the problem. However, government should never be scapegoated as the problem. Government regulation is about making the economy work for the average citizen & not fascism, nor the blind & detrimental pursuit of free markets.

"Their monopolistic control of all media allows them to get away with it"... By the way the "liberal media" is a complete myth

"Putting Money Where Mouths Are: Media Donations Favor DEMs 100-1"

    -- Investors Business Daily, 23 July 2008

Democrats -- A Gag Order on Liberty

  • The whole discussion of whether or not the media are too liberal is a distraction AWAY from the fact that it is not liberal. It's a complete myth!

Saying the media are liberal just because 80% of journalists supposedly vote Democrat is like saying that workers on the factory floor decide what the car industry produces!

It wouldn't matter if 99% of journalists belonged the Socialist Workers party, it still doesn't say anything about the media product.

  • No, it's NOT 99% of the bottom rung of media's lowest of workers, as your delusion attempts to portray. Rather, it's 99% of all media. That includes executives, producers, writers, senior editors, ... ALL those who decide what is and what is not reported, as well as the framing and marketing of all matters. Clearly, that evidences a monopoly; a black-listing; a purposeful gag order on the opposition.

Instead of pretending that you can't figure that one out, try rethinking ... EVERYTHING.

  • Since Democrats & Republicans are simply different factions of the same de facto political party (the Business Party), it is irrelevant to know which faction of the Business Party the workers on the assembly line of the media belong to.

The key reason it is irrelevant is because party faction affiliation is not indicative of the media PRODUCT.

If you want to understand the way a system works, you look at its institutional structure, how it's organized, how it's controlled, how it's funded

  • Business Party?

I keep pointing out the specific horrors inflicted on America by the Democrat party and you keep responding with inane philosophical notions.

I have no idea what specific socialist theology you're trying to proselytize, but it is clearly as nonsensical as that of any other socialist sect.

  • You need to learn to think outside the constraints of popular pre-existing social & political constructs. The "horrors" you speak of are not the fault of only one party. Let's look at the Wall Street Bail-out. As you move higher into the political hierarchy, you could find more "bi-partisan" support for the Bail-Out among BOTH Democrats & Republicans

The point is that America effectively has a 1 party system. European countries have a Christian Party, distinct from a Labor Party, & Business

  • Regardless of how "outside" ones thoughts may drift, we are stuck with the same reality.

America is a two party system. One is the party of slavery, sedition, KKK, La Raza, forcing citizens to pay for illegals, fetal bloodlust, "affirmative" racism, class warfare, entitlement programs, bastard breeding programs, and all other socialist's beloved treachery against humanity, and the other party tends to oppose all that, though rather ineffectively.

  • There is no reason to accept the two-party system other than complacency. Roughly a third of Americans do not affiliate themselves with either party, sometimes proclaiming that choosing the lesser of two evils is no longer a viable option.

Both Democrats & Republicans effectively behave the same way with respect to really existing economic policy.

The Wall Street Bail-Out was supported by the effective One-Party under the guise of bi-partisanship, despite overwhelming popular outrage.

  • ... which resulted in Republicans being voted OUT, and Democrats voted IN.

    (The opposite of "same".)

Furthermore, we know the cause of the credit collapse; that which I explained earlier; the fascism of Fannie, Freddie, CRA, ACORN, and all other such policies which Democrats promise more of; that of which Republican voters are opposed.

(Again, that's the opposite of "same".)

Perhaps you're just upset that there's no symmetry, but you keep rejecting reality in favor of a bizarre dogma.

  • Like I've explained to YOU before government regulation is about making the economy work for the average citizen & NOT FASCISM.

The root cause is economic liberalization, because the result is that risk-taking is under-priced, meaning there's a lot more of it than there would be in a reasonable system. And so therefore it was predicted right off that when financial liberalization took place, there would be more regular financial crises and far deeper ones. IT'S BUILT INTO THE SYSTEM.

  • There you go again.

I point to the specific observable which debunk your political philosophy, and you simply remarket your dogma anew.

True to socialist theology, yours always manages to declare liberty as the problem, and government as the solution.

Obama -- The Audacity of Fascists

  • You've totally ignored my more relevant observation that Democrats & Republicans essentially behave in the same manner, especially with regard to corporate welfare. It's a game they're playing.

It is with this observation of the reality of the dual-monopoly Democrats & Republicans have in American politics that I assert the fact that the liberal media is a complete myth used as a form of propaganda to control the ideas of the public in order to favor more of what passes for "conservatism."

  • Oops, you did it again.

Directly addressing your gospel of "same", by pointing to real world events that evidence the exact opposite of your socialist drivel, isn't to "ignore" your drivel.

Also, 99% Democrat media is the reported fact. I referenced the source. Your incessant, recurring denials are backed by NOTHING WHATSOEVER but your rabid devotion to a fetid political theology.

Socialism -- The ACORN of Depravity.

  • My "gospel of 'same'" is entirely true. I pointed to real world event: the Wall Street Bail-Out. The American people didn't want it. We saw that in the House the first time around. It took the more elitist Senate to get the bailout passed. We could find that it had "bi-partisan" support in Bush, Obama, and McCain. The further high up in political hierarchy the representatives were, the more likely they were to support that bailout of corporations.

Does it really benefit NBC to be "leftist?"

  • We just had this conversation.

  • No we didn't. I know why you don't want to have this conversation. How in the WORLD does NBC benefit from pushing an overtly "leftist agenda?" I'd just love to know that.

    Who owns NBC? General Electric.

Is it in the best interest of General Electric to put forward a leftist agneda, or is it RATHER in General Electric's best interest for everyone to think that the mainstream media is entirely leftist in order to get people to "rebel" by calling for more conservativism in general?

  • There you go again presuming logic or reason underpins the activities of your rabid ilk, and then using their reliable rejection of it as if that's evidence of the veracity of your fallacious claim.

    It's not.

Perhaps your ignorance is genuine, but MOST media companies are suck-holes of capital, and dying as we post.

  • "MOST media companies are suck-holes of capital, and dying as we post."

How does this answer my question as to how NBC and, by parent company relationship, GE benefit from putting forth a leftist agenda??

If anything, this assertion would seem to support my implied contention that the corporation would benefit more from provoking a conservative "rebellion" against the popularly but falsely perceived "liberal media."

  • You suggested that I should explain the REASONING of your socialist ilk..

    My point is that your socialist ilk are aggressively anti-logical;

    that they REJECT REASON in favor of their happy-place;

that their absence of reason does NOT invalidate the REALITY that Dem's are 99% of media; that they have an effective gag order on the opposition.

    Get it yet?

  • I get it.

You'd rather dismiss my observational analysis and my thought-provoking question, which effectively pokes a HUGE hole in the idea of the idea of the "liberal media," as "anti-logical" than actually engage the analysis & answer the question.

So fine. Let's pretend leftists comprise 99% of the media, and let's also pretend that these leftists are promoting a leftist agenda.

HOW do the corporations, who own the media, BENEFIT from promoting that agenda?

  • Recorded data isn't an "idea". Media is 99% Democrat. That evidences a gag order against the opposition.

Pointing to the illogical, irrational, self-exterminating politics and tactics of your ilk, as you did, only to demand that I must provide their "reasoning", as you did, is as aggressive a rejection of reality as that of any of your other posts.

Your inability to discriminate reality from fantasy continues to impress.

  • Even you had to concede that "America is a two party system." In that two party system there's only so much leeway for ideological diversity before it deviates too far, and is considered to extreme to be expressed.

First off, to be accurate, 80% of journalists vote Democrat. However this tells us nothing about the media PRODUCT. There is no gag order. Conservative pundits & analysts are ALL OVER the media.

However, nothing TRULY leftist is ever really expressed in the media.

  • No, I didn't "concede" that America is a two party system. Rather, I introduced that fact specifically to debunk your one-party claim.

Beyond your attempted rewrite, I'll keep pointing to the political realities of our nation, and you keep rejecting them by way of personal decree.

  • That very fact points goes to support my ver valid claim that the dual-monopoly both partioes enjoy is actually tantamount a to a one-party system, especially when effectively under the guise of bi-partisanship.

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 was proposed by Henry Pulson, a Republican. The bailout had support from Democrats.

Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 also had bi-partisan support.

    Aggregate effect: The Business Party

  • Nationalizing their latest victim industry is a "business party"?

Again you get it perfectly backwards. Again, Republican voters REJECTED such "representatives", whilst Democrats VOTED FOR those promising lots and lots more of such fascist policies.

    We've been through all this.

  • @Bacchant33rd You seem to think that a "corporation" is so completely incompatible with a leftist government that the former would never advocate for the latter. This simply isn't true. Socialism is for everyone but the men at the top, and, like the top people in government, the big time executives at these corporations would not see their lifestyles change much under socialism. You seem to think that GE and the government aren't the same thing. Wake up.

  • Liberals make me sick! I bet you looneys were mad when you seen Rick Warren allocated the invocation the benediction of Obama's inauguration. Muhahaha! Sounds like we are to continue to fight terrorism. No matter what, that does not change how I feel about Obama. Something fishy and fascist about him. Get ready, it starts in California folks. Get those dried food, medical kits, gold/silver, and lots of ammo. 3 Clues Hong Kong Exchange, Wheat, and precious metal. Study.

  • Ann Coulter made a lot of sense in this video. In many instances I disagree with her views and I am hardly a leftist. This time though, how can you disagree with what she said? We should be upset at how GSE operated and we, as the decsion making and voting public, demanded that congress not give into the banks who basically held a gun to their own heads and demanded our money.

  • Bush admin was the one to allow predatory lending, which was outlawed for 100 years.

  • The MORTGAGE MESS (a 4 step fraud):

Step 1. "Redlining" -- Spawn GSEs (like Fannie), faking outrage over lenders NOT lending money to those who can't repay.

Step 2. "Community Reinvestment Act" -- alter FEDERAL LAW so "community organizers" (like ACORN & Greenlining) dictate lending practices to lenders.

Step 3. "Predatory Lending" -- Fake outrage over lenders having lent money to those who can't repay, as the toxic debt collapses.

Step 4. Call it "deregulation", and blame others.

  • You got it wrong stop drinking the kool aid peoople want to blame the wrong people and its no doubt these people are racist, and classist, and they dont really understand the full picture and as usual stupid people fall for the talking heads proproganda its good cop bad cop, democrat, republican, left right, but the politicians and corporations all work together cause this country is facist wake up

  • You're long on proclamations, but short on anything upon which to base them.

Regarding your Kool-Aid reference, clearly, Democrat policies are the potassium cyanide here.

  • I do not think these people realize the fact that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are the biggest "Mortgage Pimps" that successfully reaped off of high rates and kicking people out of their homes. Regardless of how many vindicated proof that is in front of them, yet they use Bush as an excuse. I do not think they knew that Bush could not go to war without Democratic votes. I posted the video in response to this. They probably will not listen, rather to keep themselves in the "matrix"

  • Carter created the CRA which mandated loans to unqualified borrowers.

  • Don't be a kool- Aid drinker. Bush has his problems but this is not it. It was Clinton who told Greenspan to loosen credit and lower rates and before that it was Carter who passed the awful and corrupt Community Reinvestment Act.

  • These are the worst arguments. Fannie Mae + Same government sponsorship as any other American corporation + Obama = Regulation? The Democrats were the biggest proponents of deregulation and your arguments would only work if the banks had ever obeyed a law in their life. All these social programs were only ideas pitched to the banks wich never stuck. All regulations on Wall Street were removed in 99 and the shit then hit the fan because the corporation had some Democratic lobbyist on its side?

  • Myth of the Rational Voter by Bryan Caplan explains all of this. People are too stupid to figure out even basic stuff like how CRA affected the current economic crisis, so they just punish the party in power.

  • yo lets not 4get bush and fucking paulson pushed this shit.. both dems and reps have blood on their hands

  • I'm a classical liberal (US fiscal conservative) and I would probably support Coulter in most of what she is saying when it comes down to economic issues, but it seems to me that she doesn't really have an own agenda. She just takes the agenda of the sc. "liberals" and then attack it. That is not politics, that is mudslinging.

    //tegis.wordpress

  • A bullet would fit nice inside her head.

  • blame yourselves people. the people wanted homes. It became an issue. If you wanted to keep your seat you had to give the people what they wanted, even if it was bad for them.

  • It all comes down to predatory lending. The capitalist system is essentially a pimp who sold the "American dream" to ignorant people, convincing them that the boom of the 90's/2000's was going to continue. And,they reassured them that they had nothing to worry about when it came to paying off their huge mortgages. Now these turds are blaming the rape victim and cashing in on this Democratic bailout. But do not BS yourselves folks, the republicans did not support it as a political move.

  • "Redlining" -- The term used by Democrat race hustlers to attack lenders who didn't lend to those who couldn't afford it.

"Predator Lending" -- The term used by Democrat race hustlers to attack lenders who finally caved in to the former demands of Democrat race huslters, and lent money to those who couldn't afford it.

Obama's ACORN was the working end of their stick.

Democrat politics & policies, including Fannie, FFIEC CRA, ... are the spawn of this gargantuan mortgage debt nightmare.

  • So according to Coulter, if you're poor, you have no right to a house? Please.

  • if you can't afford it! dont buy it!

  • Your nuts. This was ALL done under a Bush/Republican administration.

How you can self rationalize otherwise is insane.

The man who pushed this 700 billion was the former CEO of Goldman Sachs hand picked by Bush.

This is not about "R" vs. "D". Both parties have merged as one.

  • You're nuts. This was ALL done under a Democrat legislature. (The Executive Branch funds nothing -- read a book.)

Those who pushed TENS of TRILLIONS of bad mortgages were Democrat activist organizations. Democrats LOVE their fascist organizations, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Democrats LOVE fascist laws (FFIEC CRA) that empower ACORN fascists to dictate unsound, race-based lending practices to lenders.

Democrats promise more of the same.

  • Clinton left office in 2000. Housing prices took off immediately after Bush/Greenspan lowered interest rates in 2002. ACORN? What does a 24 year old white unemployed female with perfect credit who got 4 houses in 4 states on an interest only loan, have to to with ACORN? Nothing! These people did not apply under "special programs". The FEDS actions (under Bush) banks lent to anyone with a pulse and a credit score to prop the economy after 911. It's the "guns and butter" that Ron Paul talks about.

  • The federal "Community Reinvestment Act" (FFIEC CRA) was modified under Clinton, such that it placed Democcrat activist groups, e.g., ACORN, in positions of authority over lenders.

Those lenders who did NOT submit to Democrat race hustler's race-based, sub-standard lending practices; those who would NOT lower their lending standards, were charged with racism and subject to federal punishment.

Is your pristine ignorance genuine, or are you faking it?

Obama -- The Audacity of Marxists

  • u r the audacity of stupidty!!!!! seriously enough-------- zip it! dont bother responding back either were fed up with the bullshit!

  • Speak English.

  • just because my headline name says beanteam doesnt mean for u to pull to sterotypes such a pity i thought they educated conservatives more!

  • No, he meant use English. As in use grammar. And spelling. As in correct English grammar and correct spelling. As in stop failing English.

And don't play the goddamned race card.

  • AMEN!!!!!

  • Thanks God for Fox without Fox the Democrates would not have won the White House. I wonder if Fox will suggest what kind of Dog would be suitable for the House, and what kind of moving company should be called in to get rid of Bush

  • THANK YOU ANN COULTER FOR FOCUSING ON THE TRUTH!!!!!!!! I was in real estate when Clinton was President, and the real estate agents LOVED Fannie and Freddie, 'cause they could get just about ANYONE a loan! They would shop them until they got one, whether the purchaser could afford it or not!

  • Obama bin Biden? God -No! Vote McCain, because at least his aunt is a legal U.S. citizen, unlike a certain other candidate's aunt.

A.C.O.R.N., Ayers... With JFK, it was the era of "Camelot; with Clinton, it was the era of "Came-Allot; with Obama, it would be the era of "Scam-Allot". The only thing Obama would change, is his underwear.

Young voters, do yourself a huge favor and vote for McCain, a true American Patriot. Don't drink the Obama Kool-Aid. Don't fall for Obama's empty rhetoric.

  • Don't forget the Keating 5!

  • The Election is not over: October 31, 2008: DRUDGE: "Massive McCain Surge - Pulls Ahead in Latest Zogby Poll" Go McCain... Vote Tuesday!

  • Hey, Americans and "John." My name is Barack Obama and I'm a clueless Muslim with terrorist ties and an invalid birth certificate. I LOVE overhead projector systems. I proposed spending $3 million dollars for one. VERY generous, I know. Negative advertising is the key to politics. I spent more money on negative ads than any other candidate. I was a BRILLIANT little kid at 6-10 years of age. I found out EVERYTHING about foreign policy by living in Indonesia during that time period." What a joke.

  • Blame Clinton, God how embarrassing to spew the same message for how many years now, 15? Will they blame Clinton when McCain loses. I hope I'm not the only Conservative out there who's embarrassed by this descent to inane propaganda.

  • There's O'reilley for one..

  • ATTENTION STUPID LIBERALS

Rush to the bank, withdraw all your money, go to the ghetto, and tell them your not there to arrest them, your there to spread the wealth! Its time for the liberals to be patriotic. . right Mr. Biden?

  • America is going down the drain.

  • don't worry, the market is coming back, the economy is coming back & McCain is coming back!

  • ha freaking ha. How can the economy come back if it's controlled by inflation and overspending. pull your head out of the sand. Conservatives and Liberals need to stop fighting each other and fight the Federal Reserve. End corruption end the 2 party same agenda system.

  • Seig Heil fraulein! I wonder if Hannity broke a nail lately. Remember when he hurt his shoulder? Such a tough guy. Well, he acts tough. Yet he sits behind a desk all day making millions. All talk. I'd love to see him do a hard days work. And then he's got the audacity to call other people elitists. Wow, and McCain-Palin are mavericks like White-Anglo Saxon Protestants are an oppressed minority here in the states.

  • you're a fool. ask ur buddy alec balwin. he doesn't like hannity and he call's him an ex-construction worker. he tries to be condescending, but i hope his house doesn't collapse on him, when the BIG one hits!!!!

  • What's this "BIG one" you are talking about. I don't like "alec balwin" at all. I just think that Hannity is full of hot air. Don't even begin to think that I am a liberal. I dislike McCain pretty much just as much as I do Obama. Did you know that O'bama is actually an Irish name. Sounds Irish doesn't it? I'm lying about that. I actually do think that Obama is the lesser of two evils. TTYL tough guy!

  • Obama plays a vital part in the economic housing crisis (Acorn) then he acts like he is the only one who can fix it. Hypocrisy. Who is really buying this??? come on people wake up.

  • I have a friend who still can't believe he sold his $200,000 house to a non U.S. citizen who made only $500 a week. Only requirement was to have a job. Hopefully he doesnt' up and leave and go back to his country and leave us with the bill.

  • shes hot by the way

  • the banks were crazy to lend money to blacks etc. early figures are showing that huge portions of mortgages was actually spent on crack and KFC

  • great comment, your dead on man!!!!!!!keep telling the truth

  • After holding a majority in Congress for less than 2 years, the Democrats have already managed to cause a global economic crisis. It would be funny if it weren't so deathly serious. This is precisely why Bush MUST find a way to extend his term for another 4 years to help fix this mess. We need his leadership now the same way we did after 9/11.

    God Bless America.

    God Bless President Bush.

  • Insanity.

  • bush is not the answer, people need to wake the hell up they should have knowing something was wrong with that picture i even know better then to take out a loan when they told me i could how stupid are ppl.

  • Thank you for posting this TylerNull! Also, your sidebar info utterly nails the underlying causes of this aspect of our "diversity" dystopia. Affirmative Action has wrecked our entire culture by lowering and eliminating STANDARDS, and replacing standards with runaway incompetence that is rewarded, encouraged, and has metasticized into a cancer of "correctness"...excellence has been criminalized as "racist" and natural affinity for one's own is funded for minorities but criminalized for whites

  • This is a mess how Obama skates free is b/c he has not done anything in the Senate it makes me sick. He is beyond clueless.

  • He did "something" -- he was the only Senator to vote FOR infanticide. Otherwise, here's a summary of Obama's voting record:

present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, present, ...

... ONE HUNDRED THIRTY (130) TIMES.

  • darwinxo. . . economic results from policy changes take years to see. Clinton inherited economy on upswing and took credit, then signed legislation that is now revealed to be economically devastating and won't take credit. Talking points aren't facts, they are campaign rhetoric.

  • Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community If God is not for us and against white people then he is a murderer and we had better kill him The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy Rev Wright Obama chuch follows this teaching

  • LOVED WATCHING THIS!!!

  • The infalliable Clinton needs this meltdown saddled on him - Oh yeah Barney Frank Chris Dodd and a host of Democratic senators that blocked attempts in 2003 and 2005 to regulated Fannie and Freddie. Where is the investigation into these former corporation leaders ?

  • hmmmm... prosperity during clinton years, economic collapse during bush years.

who's at fault, again, dumb fuck?

  • "prosperity during clinton "

    * Clinton's $7 TRILLION dot-com FRAUD -- devistated American's 401K retirement accounts.

    * Clinton grew national DEBT by 36%, to $5.6 TRILLION, and called it a "surplus".

    * Revised CRA so "community organizers" (ACORN) dictated mortgage lending standards.

    "economic collapse during bush"

    * +7 MILLION jobs created since 2000.

    * GDP growing over 3% annually.

    * Household wealth at all-time high; +31% Since 2000.

Obama's gospel of misery is a lie.

  • Did you see Greenlining Institute (Berkley, CA)changed website? They are no longer "bragging" about the 2 TRILLION dollars they forced banks to write to low-income and illegal alien borrowers! But, I printed the page and have it in writing. Funny how they mention Nancy Pelosi as a key note speaker!

  • Yeah, their historical record has always been a problem for Democrats. Owning the teachers unions, they "fix" that problem, continually.

  • Name calling is that what we as children are to not do cosidering manners first.

    Grow Up

  • Wow. Your video description sums up EVERYTHING that I have personally observed the Democrats doing over the last decade.

WE can see what is going on but others turn a blind eye or play dumb!

The Dems have acquired a license TO STEAL. THEY ARE LOOTING THIS COUNTRY!!

  • Heil Obama! My Fuhrer!

Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil! Seig Heil!

Heil Obama liberal youth! Obama youth turn in your parents to the Obama police! Obama youth, be proud to be an evil whacked drugged out little liberal Eichmanns! Obama youth, we hate Christians! Obama youth, be proud youre not a bitter American that cling to their guns and religion! Obama youth, we socialist liberal fascists! If McCain wins, we will go over a cliff together like lemmings! Change? Yes we can! Seig Heil! Seig Heil!YES WE CAN!

  • Left mindset is homes are free. Job first, then house, the era of personal responsibility -- 2001 warnings about aggressive lending was killed by Republicans in power, yuppily gobbling and flipping homes.

Pay for performance also doesn't exist for the elite, 100's of millions paid for losers.

  • Time for a MORTGAGE STRIKE. No refi, no pay. Do it anyway to make a point. That's free market.

  • Morons! This is a problem caused by both parties. Even if Clinton started this it was continued for seven and a half years under Bush. The Repubs love deregulation and the Dems love social spending. When the two interests can converge... well guess what happens. Both parties could have changed this but there was no reason for either to do so. Morons.

  • One of Bush's first movements was to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but he was unsuccessful as it had to be done in the senate, which was run by the democrats who despised him. They glorify Clinton, so continued his "infallible" policies. Clinton continues to deny responsibility in recent interviews, saying if he hadn't done what he did, it would be worse.

  • Oh, I get it! Clinton wanted more votes from poorer folks? So he deregulated the banks knowing those GREEDY BANKS WILL GIVE HOME LOANS TO ANYONE (even to poor folks they knew couldnt pay back)!

It worked for a while, poor folks were happy they now had a piece of the American Dream; to be a home owner.

Greedy banks didn't have government watching them anymore!

BUT I dont get why Bush continued what Clinton started, when the experts told him that this deregulation would end in tears?

  • "...Clinton ...deregulated the banks..."

No. FFIEC CRA, and Fannie & Freddie (FNM & FRE) aren't "deregulation". They are fascist regualation & "Government Sponsored Enterprises", respectively, that forced and assisted lenders in lending money to those who can't repay.

(See links in "More info" section, above)

  • She is sooo right!

There are corrupt politicians on both sides...but this is pure liberal ideology that is to blame.

  • Great Video...

  • how often has she ever sung the praises of george w. bush? pretty much never. he had eight years to right anything clinton did wrong. he didn't.

ann coulter has no allegiance to republican party as it stands today. nor does she really hate the democrats.

ann coulter simply adheres to a whacked-out conservative "us vs. them" ideology by which one-side is always to blame completely -- the liberals.

it is this one-sided thinking that is dumbing down america.

she argues like a spoiled child.

  • What'll happen to those foolish & greedy engineers of this bailout (Bush & his ruling elite and corporate buddies), if the bailout hasn't stopped the growing job losses & home losses by 2009?

WILL THE PEOPLE EVER TAKE ACTION & PUNISH THEM ALL?

WHEN IT BE PAYBACK TIME FOR THE PEOPLE?

    (1) ARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AFRAID OF THEIR GOVERNMENT & CORPORATE CEO BUDDIES?

    or...

    (2) IS THE GOVERNMENT AFRAID OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?

    ANSWER: (2)

    * EMPTY YOUR POCKETS and then BEND OVER America! *

  • Fascist organizations (FNM & FRE) and fascist regulations (FFIEC CRA) -- both BELOVED by Democrats -- took over the mortgage industry; encouraging participants to abandoned established lending standards.

Democrat race hustlers & class-warfare mongers used intimidation tactics (Jesse Jackson -- "Redlining") to empowered "community organizers" (Alinsky - ACORN, Greenlighting, etal) to dictate lending practices to lenders.

So, your contrivance of who's afraid of who is lacking.

  • Please cite the provision in the CRA that states that lenders must lend to borrowers that are not qualified.

    I await your reply.

  • Is your mouse broken?

Is your pristine ignorance on the matter genuine? See the links in the video description section. Here's an example quoted from one of the articles referenced thereof:

    "

When I and my wife, a LEGAL alien, bought our house, the mortgage company told me that if my wife were an ILLEGAL alien, rather than legal, we would have qualified for certain loan programs with big banks.

    "

    -- openmarket . org

    I await your reply.

  • As I said please cite the provision in the CRA that states that lenders must lend to borrowers that are not qualified. You said and I quote, "Fascist organizations (FNM & FRE) and fascist regulations (FFIEC CRA) -- both BELOVED by Democrats -- took over the mortgage industry; encouraging participants to abandoned established lending standards."

Now please cite the provision. I await your reply.

  • My legal team will gladly parse the truckloads of CRA documents, meeting minutes, congressional testimony, and legal battles with ACORN for you. They bill at $350/hr, and request a $10,000 retainer. Are you interested? Either that, or do educate yourself on the matter.

  • Search "Affirmative Action Loans" in youtube, then click the first video. There's your proof.

  • Never let a devout Democrat convince you that their bouts of stupor are genuine.

Their fanaticism requires them to aggressively reject logic, reason, common sense, and the historical record, whenever any of it interferes with their toxic political theology.

    Think about it.

If there's no "provision" for Democrats to openly advocate for the enemy during wartime, then they never do?

Feigned idiocy is one of their favorite sanctuaries. They attempt it often.

  • In the third period of 2007 when the mortgage bubble burst. Of the loans that had fallen into foreclosure only 43% represented subprime loans. Now if the subprime loans were the cause of the mortgage crisis wouldn't that number be larger or did people who had subprime loans fall into the same category as the rest who had lost their jobs and could no longer make their payments? Try using your head to think instead of blindly following wackos.

  • scata99, The above post is a perfect example of my point.

There, the rabid Democrat posts a meaningless number to prop up an argument against a specious proposition that no one made, and then mocks their own contrivance in the hope of smearing their idiocy on the source of their ineffectual rant.

All done, mind you, in the hope that doing so will shield their fascist policies from inspection of the damage they have wrought on our banking system.
