the problem with a flat swing, it feels natural to swing over the top of it and it a pull just like jeff did, i think he's more just trying to give a feeling though. If your really steep and you then feel flatter you'll probs still be steep but closer to a good plane swing, it's a question of FEEL vs REAL!!!
Seriously stop bashing. This works. Trust me. I've fought a fade with my driver for most of my golfing. Timing fails. Open your eyes. Shallow your shoulder turn back down and through, steepen your spine angle. Win cash. Simple as that.
I absently tried this at range the other day. Consistently straight ball flights throughout the bag. I had a push problem and I couldnt for the life of me fix it. Slowing my swing down, i realized that I was standing up on downswing tryin 2 clear the left side. Focusing on staying low, i flattened my swing and no longer push the ball.
I accidentally experienced this cure to my slice when I stood on an increasing slope; this flattened my swing plane and made me hook my shots instead. Next time on the range I will give it a try and adjust my posture, although I think that it might be just one of my slice causes. Thank you for the clear explanation!
Great tip, it cured my slice! As I'm almost 2meters tall, I've always been struggling with my posture. I decided to stand more upright, mainly because I felt it looked better. It probably does, but I developed a scorewrecking slice when hitting my driver/woods. Thanks Jeff, you explain golfswing better than anyone else!!!
Hi Jeff! I've been following your tips on Golf Tips, your blog site and youtube.
I've tried flattening out my swing as you have demonstrated here but now I'm hooking the ball hard. Also, there have been times when I hit the ball on its upper half. I guess I still need to get the median but is there a way to know if I'm leaning forward too much?
Also, I've seen your front loader drill. Do you advocate a two-piece swing where the hands release through the ball at impact?

You just made golfing even more enjoyable for me! Slices are gone and I'm getting 250-300 yard straight shots on my drives!
