Basically, the powers that be broke them up saying that Gia couldn't take Nik's possessiveness of her and trying to control her life and blah blah blah. What happened was the first actress to play Gia wanted to do another ABC show as well and they would not let her do both shows so after her contract was up they let her go. The second Gia only lasted a few months. Just long enough for THTB to get rid of Colton and bring back the original Nik- they guy they have now.
When they destroyed NIA I stopped watching GH after 25 years. Them and Luke and Laura. They really screwed GH up for me. I loved Colton's Nik. Like it's been said, he was great at being affectionate. These two were a SUPER COUPLE!!
Totally agree with you. Today it seems GH forgot about romance and LOVE. Its all about the mob now. Whene Coltin and Marisa were on screen together they burned it up! You could never take your eyes off of them. I have 3 brothers who always tease me about watching soaps, but even they would watch Nik and Gia with me. That says a lot in my book. I hate they ruined tham and forced Niks "true love" with Emily down our throats.

They were the most affectionate couple on GH... forever kissing and hugging, Nikolas carressing her cheek....*sigh*....

Does anyone know where I can find the reunion clip when Gia and Nik reunite on his boat while he is being tested by his Grandmother and had to give up Gia and go after Elizabeth to save Lucky. Let em know please
