That's not a problem. That's how good that mic is. This is why studios have soundproof booths for singing in, so there is no ambient noise to pick up. I have to turn off everything in the room when I use mine and listed to the music through the headphones.
Yes... you have a great voice with or without the computer generated sound. I love your confidence when you sing... it really shows through. Keep up the great work!
But seriously, I think vocoding is a cheap way out of not singing. You should at least try to sing for real. But I do have to say that Vocoding sounds kinda cool on this song
I have a few songs of my own that are originals that don't use Autotune at all. The whole idea I've been playing in all the videos I have posted was to get the T-Pain sound on non hip hop songs, just to have fun with it.
I'll have my own songs posted when the copyrights all go through.
I think it's a damn good mic for the money. You hear every little detail. I have a Lexicon Omega interface and I'm running a PC with Windows XP. No problems to report other than I have used up all the RAM at times. I only have 1 gig. My solution for one song I did was to mix down drums and put them into an audio file on two tracks, one left and one right. That free'd up about 6 VST tracks and a lot of RAM.
please inbox me i have questions about how you mixed down them vocals so professionallly :D

@mafia03G3 silly question. is the mxl logo in front of your mouth? this mic is not omni-directional

Question. How did you connect the MXL USB microphone into the Lexicon Omega? Or is the microphone plugged directly into the computer?
ourmundo 2 years ago
The MXL is not a USB Mic. It's a balanced XLR mic with phantom popwer and plugs directly into the Omega. I wouldn't use a USB mic for singing.
