It's messed up how the quarterback doesn't get enough credit for these kinds of plays. Why does most of the team dogpile on the receiver, but only one person on the quarterback? McNabb managed to make that play despite pressure from the defense and despite the nervousness of a possible loss. The receiver might be nervous, but all the receiver has to do is run down a few yards and make the catch. The QB has to worry about not getting sacked, not letting the ball get intercepted, and not losing.
Ohh yeah I am sitting here watching the Packers carve up the Falcons, yup Rodgers looks like crap alright.. HA! seriously though you missed my point. @ipspots1 not quite... in 02 they lost by 17, 06 was jeff garcia. don't forget about the times he did execute (4th and 26 against GB, overall 9-7 record in playoff games) 9-7 is pretty good against all playoff teams, only active qbs with a higher playoff win % are brady , brees and roethlisberger.
@coolcustomer31 Obviously every playoff gameMcNabb lost was not due to his inability to run the 2 min offense, but I saw enough of that to tell me he is not good at the two minute "O". He chokes. He got lucky in ONE playoff win over GB, otherwise if the Eagles won the game, it was with a lead and an aggressive defense. There were times where he couldn't even run a 4 min "O" to seal the WIN and we would have to rely on the D. Denying it proves you didn't watch every Eagle game.

It takes receivers about 3 years to develop in the NFL. Other than that all Mcnabb had was Avant, Curtis, and Reggie Brown. Driver, Jennings, and James Jones are all better than any of the eagles receivers were that year.

It's messed up how the quarterback doesn't get enough credit for these kinds of plays. Why does most of the team dogpile on the receiver, but only one person on the quarterback? McNabb managed to make that play despite pressure from the defense and despite the nervousness of a possible loss. The receiver might be nervous, but all the receiver has to do is run down a few yards and make the catch. The QB has to worry about not getting sacked, not letting the ball get intercepted, and not losing.

McNabb was a good QB who CHOKED at end of big games when being behind (NFC Champ Game against the Bucs, Superbowl against the Pats, NFC Champ Game against the CARDINALS just to name a few)... @ipspots yea, choking at the end of big games has nothing to do with the way rodgers carved up the falcons on sunday but whatever. I love Aaron Rodgers. He's an amazing QB and I hope he wins the Super Bowl. My point was that everyone struggles. Look at Brady last week, actually look at his last 3 playoff games (all loses btw). I know Brady has gotten it done before and he deserves a pass for that. But most of the guys you listed havent done anything more than McNabb.

Truth of the matter was that McNabb choked when a BIG game was on the line. If he NEEDED to drive from behind in lose and go home game, he choked. we have 4 NFC championship and 1 Superbowl loss to look at.. all of them ended with him trying to come from behind and either throwing ints, or throwin the ball at the feet of a WIDE open wr/te.... and we all know he threw up in the Superbowl from the pressure. He is a good QB when no pressure. He SUCKS when there is pressure!!!

Now, I dont know if Vick will ever get to play in 5 NFC Championship games, but I'll tell ya if he did his WIN % would be higher in those games than McNabb..... And I was one of the few who were happy when the Eagles drafted McNabb, it just became apparent in those 5 NFC Champ and 1 Superbowl games that he couldn't win on the big stage if the teams were close.... Ill agree with what youre saying, but there are many different cities who would want their teams playing at that high of a level, philly just wasnt one of them. woulda been interesting had he beaten the patriots that year. or if they would have beaten the cardinals and had an in state superbowl pitt vs philly and they won. woulda been interesting on where he would be now

In Fact lets see there have been 44 Superbowls played = 88 QB's playing 60 minutes each... or 5,280 minutes of Quarterback play in the Superbowl history.. McNabb holds the distinction of being the ONLY one to throw up while playing.... He was a good QB but he was NEVER THAT good. He could only play from a lead, he sucked at coming from behind.

@XxHooksxX I agree the defense has not been good especially this year, However, all those games were winnable in the 4th quarter with less than two minutes left, all the QB has to do is execute. Now dont get me wrong it's a team effort, but if you as a QB throw a int on the last drive of a game when we need a score to win it...... you fail! Period. Vick failed against the Packers like McNabb always did. "I call's 'em like I see's 'em!"

@ipspots1 not quite... in 02 they lost by 17, 06 was jeff garcia. don't forget about the times he did execute (4th and 26 against GB, overall 9-7 record in playoff games) 9-7 is pretty good against all playoff teams, only active qbs with a higher playoff win % are brady , brees and roethlisberger.

@coolcustomer31 Obviously every playoff gameMcNabb lost was not due to his inability to run the 2 min offense, but I saw enough of that to tell me he is not good at the two minute "O". He chokes. He got lucky in ONE playoff win over GB, otherwise if the Eagles won the game, it was with a lead and an aggressive defense. There were times where he couldn't even run a 4 min "O" to seal the WIN and we would have to rely on the D. Denying it proves you didn't watch every Eagle game.

It's not like James Trash , Todd Stinkston, Freddie Mitchell, Reggie Brown or any other receiver (pre desean and excluding TO since he was only there a year) were any good at all. Check out his stats on 4th quarter comebacks. He also has never had a running game. Name a few QBs you think were better during Mcnabbs career.

@51czechmate hahaha no way! I know it seems like it now, but Maclin was hardly effective as a rookie, and Desean Jackson was just starting to come into his own that year. It takes receivers about 3 years to develop in the NFL. Other than that all Mcnabb had was Avant, Curtis, and Reggie Brown. Driver, Jennings, and James Jones are all better than any of the eagles receivers were that year.

McNabb had Maclin for his rookie year and DJack for only 2 years. Honestly other than the 1 year with TO the best receivers Mcnabb had were Todd Pinkston, James Thrash, Freddie Mitchell, and Kevin Curtis.
