  • isnt church when you are suppose to learn about god, NOT listen to music the whole time?? Well i dont think people should go there because it really isnt teaching you about god. i think everyone should actually go to a REAL church like one thats named after a saint, its NOT FAKE!! This church probably talks about god for 10 minutes, then listens to music and eats donuts the rest of the time. If you agree with me please reply back because this is all crazy

  • i went there today

  • YOU BUNCH OF RELIGIOUS NUTS

  • Isn't this called compromising christianity? Where in the bible does it say that christians were given authority to make themselves friends with the world? Where in the bible does it say that christians should pander to the needs of those who make themselves enemies of God? Where in the bible does it say evangelism is obsolete. doesn't it say that whoever makes themself a friend of the world makes themselves enemies of God. Didn't Jesus reference hell 46 times in the gospel accounts?

  • "Where in the bible does it say evangelism is obsolete."

Where in the Macarena song does it say listening to the Macarena is obsolete? What kind of idiotic logic is this? In order for something to become obsolete, something new that supplants it has to come out.

"Didn't Jesus reference hell 46 times in the gospel accounts?"

yeah Gehenna and it was a literal burning dump outside Jerusalem, not an eternal afterlife of torture.

  • I think to better understand your point of view, I'd first need to understand what your definition of Christianity is, so that I can understand what it is that is being compromised. For me, most of what you described to be compromising (i.e. making friends with people, "pandering" to nonChristians) is exactly what Jesus did in his time on earth, taking care of physical needs as well as spiritual needs.

  • And as far as making onesself a friend of the world as opposed to a friend of God, I interpret it to mean that a friend of the world is a person who is utterly consumed by the things of this world (whether it be material things or relationships or something else) instead of focusing on God. Now, things of this world are not inherently bad, but it's when you start to replace God with those things that displeases him.

  • I hope I've come across as trying to understand, and not mean or attacking. Thank you for sharing your views, I found them really intriguing to think about!

  • i agree with you. i dont believe that a hippie did all of these existing things
