If you play hardcore, the famas is probably better for it's accuracy. Damage doesn't really matter since 1 or 2 bullets from the burst is usually enough to kill on HC.

I've played css for about 4 years. If you can aim properly the m16 will always 1 shot kill. Even from long range you can burst them with ease.

In css this is similar (m4a1 vs ak47) the ak does more dmg but m4 has less recoil. But it all relies on your aiming not the gun.

Since you could apply steady aim on the M16A4, it'll make the accuracy go up, and if you add stopping power to it, it's overkill. With Famas, the accuracy with steady aim, you're a god, and with the stopping power, you're good to go. So they're both good guns, and in real life, it doesn't matter
