Although I'm myself from the Outaouais I've never seen a sign saying "welcome to the Outaouais"

But does the Ottawa Valley realy exist as I never saw the sing saying welcome to the Ottawa Valley.

When travelling from Ottawa to Petawawa. I thought they were refering to the ditch along the highway.
