The truth is Patrick made the play and Gus thought 3 things in this exact order 1) Am i out kicked, 2) Did he flop the flush 3) Is there any value in re-raising here? The last question is toughest because a flat call by Gus is terrible play and only way to get information from Patrick is to re-raise him again, but I am sure Gus knows Patrick well enough that Patrick is entirely capable of re-re-raising all in and Gus has to fold... hence there was no more value in the hand after 1st re-raise =)
