  • this guy looks like raymonds brother on everybody loves raymond

    gran pelicula! y actuacion !

  • That must be why he resembles Brits like Charlie Watts (when he was younger) and Americans like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, LOL!

    R-E-T-A-R-D-!

  • this guys cool and humble.. and he did an awesome job as anton

  • Check out "Perdita Durango" .. great performance!

  • great, universal guy, loved his performance.

  • I had never seen him in any movie, but honestly, if it wasnt for him, I probably wouldnt like No Country as much.

Muy buen trabajo (he seems like someone who could direct)

  • Please, watch him in "Mar Adentro", is his best performance!

    Regards!

  • sure will do thanks

  • The best actor of the world

  • i did not expect him to be laughing a lot like that. excellent loved the movie.

    "call it friendo"

  • just saw that movie and he deserved this

  • hehehehheeh he talkes alot!!! compared with his character =]

  • I heard Tom wilkinson, and into the wild, but what movies movie was he talking about with Casey affleck? I want to try and find it to see it for myself.

  • Cassey Affleck movie is The Assassination of Jesse James

  • the moie he wa talking about with casey affleck was "gone baby gone"

  • wait nvm that was a joke it was "the assaination of jesse james"

  • Oh, yeah I saw that movie, it was good!

  • Wow, this clip shows his Spanish accent, he did a pretty good job covering it in No Country For Old Men.

  • best ator

  • lookin good, javier :]

  • He's a very good actor, and he's cool ;-D

  • he so hot. so humble. i love him. so much.

  • que! que cosa!

  • i was so happy that he won!!he so deservedit -him and his character seem like 2 completely different people. The coin toss scene was one of the favourite scenes ever- i just cant think of another actor now that could have played the role of the twisted psycho Anton as well as he did

  • He'll always be Anton Chigurh to me even if after seeing this interview,I realized that he acted the character not became the character because of the sheer difference between their personalities. One bewildering performance.

  • Class Act All The Way.

  • He was amazing

  • Pretty good actor, impressed on what he did at the academy award winning "No country for old men",

  • he was brilliant in that movie.

  • He was the best part of that movie, with the possible exception of Tommy Lee Jones.

  • Ay omá qué rico!

  • he's so right about all the other nominees that year. but heck, it was great he won

  • no u

  • his role in no country, is great, ANTON .

  • dude says he doesn't speak the language?!

It takes him a tenth of a sec to find the right words...

  • fantastic actor! i love him

  • él es perfecto ... lo amo

  • OHMIGOD *droooool*

  • His character in No Country is so different from his personality in this video.

  • his role as anton in No Country is absolutely astonishing.

  • Sooooo hot!!!

  • I love him.. he is soooo sexy. !!

  • Where does he work?

  • caiiatee -.-

  • and u dont even know eachother...

  • woww he's reallyy SEXY

  • He's almost hotter than he's good and that's a big statement considering that he's REALLY good! How he wasn't even nominated for "Mar Adentro" is beyond me...

It's a pity he didn't get to present this year's Oscar for best supporting actress. How cool would it be to give it to his girlfriend?

  • That lady was faking her laugh so bad. It sounded authentic but she turned it off really quick. Maybe Im mistaken and shes just being professional. Javier Bardem is the shit and I really hope he stars in more movies.

  • He is one hot Spaniard...mm...mmmmmmm!

  • para los que no entiendan:

girl, you're so bitch, if u r living in UK since 6 months ago, good for u, but leave already it that penelope or javier doesn't speak english so well, they have an oscar and antonio have a star on walk of fame, so don't argue that you're spanish too.

  • He´s great, he´s sooooo much more talented than Penelope or Banderas, and he seems to be a witty, funny guy

  • 4.15 'this is a lottery'. Does Javier know what he won?

  • Comment removed

  • Well deserved.............friendo.

  • he soundss like a sweetheart...and i loved him in into the sea<3

  • i think you mean "The Sea Inside"

  • same difference!

  • this dude's awesome in the movie! :D

  • Hamasing hactors of all time

    haha

  • my loveeeeeee Javiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • he's like a spanish hugh jackman

    except bigger

  • wow only if he was like in the movie no country for old men I didn't know he is spanish

  • he is beautiful

  • Qué guapo omg

  • HE'S SO HOT.

    AHHHH

  • I wonder how long he's lived in the U.S? It must of been for a while, because he speaks really good English. He doesn't really studder or trip over his words. His accent isn't nearly as strong as Antonio Banderas' or Penelope Cruz. Just from watching "No Country For Old Men" I had no idea that English wasn't his first language. That's really cool . . .

  • that's really true. Penélope Cruz has such a big accent that is amazing....gosh, she has spent so many years in USA and she still doesn't know the language!!!what the f***!!!maybe not for a while. I'm living in UK since 6 months ago and I have much better english than Penelope or Antonio...

  • Having an accent is not a bad thing. I didn't mean it in a negative way (in fact, I think Penelope's accent is kind of sexy :D). It's just amazing to me that my first impression of this guy was that he was American. In the movie, he sounds like a native. At least to me, he does.

  • I think the accent is part of the "foreigner" image they choose to keep...to stand out more...I also hate it on Salma Hayek too ..she does it on purpose!

  • having an accent does not mean you don't know the language!

  • He is so beautiful. And he is an acting genius.

  • He seems like kind of a likeable nut in real life too. I guess that's why he was so good at being Anton Chigurh.

  • i love that freaking dude.he was so good in no country.

  • He's sooo awesomee :)

  • This is my new favorite actor, just golden on screen.

  • me toooooo man

  • He wants to speak so fast in english and that's why he gets confused with the vocabulary

  • very sexy:)

  • is he hoooot or i said something wrong ?

  • the main character in the movie died too easy,i wanted them to shoot it out at least

  • that wasnt the main charecter tommy lee jones was

  • I'm smitten by JB, such a hot sexiness!!

  • it has more depth than fargo ... it was brilliant.

  • The movie was great as is Javier, and PSH and CA and TW and....but I'm glad JB won. I love that he loves his mother so much!

  • What sucks is that Moss gets killed so abruptly and undramatically, when you expect a climactic showdown between he and Chigurh.

In the "Hotel Showdown", Moss, the Vietnam veteran, proves to be a serious challenge for Chigurh. It makes you wonder who would have won if it came down to the gunfight everyone expected.

This movie has so many subtleties, I can't begin to go over them.

Bottom line - I always viewed Fargo as the best Cohen Bros movie. Now I'm not so sure...

    Anyone Agree?

  • great movie. great performance.

  • He's so freaking sexy.

  • he scared the bejeezus out of me in No Country for Old Men...I'm amazed that this guy is humorous and smiles while he talks!!!

  • Same here.

  • I like his personality good man

  • OMG, thats so cool. Im so jealous of you...LOL

  • very nice he got my mom to rent: no country for old men

  • i met javier bardem at blockbusters yesterday...!

  • You did? How was he??

  • He is HOT too, what a hunk of manmeat he is..LOL@!

  • Jesus, he ws so damn good in No Country.

  • Im looking forward to him playing Pablo Escobar in his next flick. Yes, I hope he dosnt move to LA and change his attitude. Im from LA and Hollywood people here in the industry are VERY different, and I mean that in a bad way.

  • He is so awesome and what an actor!! His humbleness is a Gem and refreshing, especially in this entertainment industry, but than again he isnt from here. Different Culture entirely.

  • different culture entirely? why? he is from europe so there is not so big difference between europe and usa

  • I mean he is so gracious and humble. Just love him. Unless you know him? Is he an asshole or something? I mean, I meant as a compliment to your Country for one thing. :)

  • Ok, cool and yes Hollywood itself is full of liberals. I am not a liberal, but I can still appreciate talent and good looks :)!

Amo España, mi madre soy de Madrid. Sé tan ambos lados. Pero tuve gusto de Javier como agente y dejo siempre para ser honesto, él soy magnífico.

  • please, don't cheat. u're selling a wrong image of Spain. déjalo.

  • I have met Javier recently over the last 2 weeks through the job I do and must say that he is a genuinely nice person to speak with, very polite and has a presence that will no doubt earn him another oscar.

  • Admit I'm behind the ball on many things and did not know Bardem had won the oscar. I have seen "No Country..." probably six times in the last two months since I first saw it and have been mesmerized by Bardem and his performance. At last I can say truly someone got their just desserts---look so forward to seeing his next movie. And, Gasthefunky, thanks for the heads up, I will see "Collateral" just to watch Bardem.

  • don't forget to c Vicky Cristina Barcelona too

  • what did you think of him in "collateral"?

  • he had like 5 min in it.....

  • 5 min but he was damm good there lol...

"Im sorry" does not put humpty dumpty back together

  • bardem was absolutely flawless in no country for old men, but i have been disappointed in his career choices before and so far after it. obviously, hes a talented guy who started off acting outside the US, but c'mon man, make more films that showcase your skills...he recently backed out of joe carnahans pablo escobar project where he was set to play the main role opposite christian bale...cut out the indie shit and do some real work man!

  • humbleness, humility, nothing is more uplifting.

  • Now that is how you do that.

  • e' veramente un gran bell'uomo....

  • great actor!! better than any US actor.. i hope he dont put his head in hollywoods ass!

  • looks like a spanish version of Robert Downey JR.same eyes.

  • Yeah he does ,doesn't he?!

  • Javier is such an exceptional actor. I found his early movies, all in his beautiful native tongue, Spanish, to be wonderful.

I wish he hadn't made the Woody Allen movie. I like his European movies much better!

  • needs to keep the bad guy image goin. hope he plays more of them in future films.
