Hey Jay! Im just wondering, my aPad isnt exactly like yours and its firmware ver. is 1.6... Mine also has a camera, and everything that your aPad has except the for the 2 USB ports. But my aPad came with a terminal box that has 2 USB and a LAN Cable port... Can I still upgrade my firmware to the custom firmware? even though its not exactly like yours? @109commander The aPad is the one with the Rockchip CPU, which is shown in this video. It can play HD vids, whereas the iPed is the VIA chip one, it's a lot weaker than the aPad. There are newer 10" aPads out which can run Android 2.1/2.2 which are far superior to both devices above, since they are newer releases.

Finally got this one working, took 3 attempts. I got a blue bubble figure on my screen and the unit appeared to freeze. Leave it alone and it will ask for a shutdown, power the unit back up and it goes into touchscreen configuration.

Did this on Windows 7 32bit. Before this tried img files of hiapad.com which appeared to be for the wrong "Batch" as graphics were fuzzy.

@Bulldog3316 First of all, are you using the right aPad batch and what went wrong? Did you disconnect the USB cord while it was installing? Give me some details, it can't go wrong if you follow the video step by step.

Please help: I followed your guide, but when upgrading using device manager, it kicked out error massage (something like file corrupted and it is not able to finish update). Now aPad is dead.
