@beatricexox We have a video about moving down here to work,,,you might want to check it out,,, can't hurt. It's called 'Working in Costa Rica- CAn you? Legally?'
this is very helpful. i may be moving to costa rica in february and love all these videos. i want to check out living in costa rica a couple of months before bringing my dog. can you still bring a dog if you are only there on a visitor visa and doing the whole renewing it every 90 days by leaving for 72 hours?
I'm also a woman who has lived in CR now for 3 years - I've watched several of your tubes now, and you guys are totally right on with everything you are putting out here. It certainly validates and echos some of my experiences, (both positive and negative) and i'm glad to see this kind of information getting out there. I wish i had seen this stuff before i got here!

You have to apply for residency...not really difficult, just takes awhile. You need a lawyer to help you with it. It's a paperwork thing,,, or else you have to leave the country every 3months stay gone for at least 72 hours and then return... your 3 months starts over.
@xo4ty aply for resideny of course but its not just paperwork it also means you need a lot of money because if you are abel to live in CR does not mean you can work there! So you need to proof that you receife Money for the next 5 years. I dont know exactly how much it is at the moment because migracion law its changing almost every year :-/ but its a lot of money i think something about 1500$ – 2500$ a month! For the next 5 years.
I am planning to move to Costa Rica soon, and I have found many of your videos to not only be invaluable, but very interesting and well edited and funny !! You guys are so great for making all of these videos, thank you !!
I know- for REAL. Bavaria Dark is SO much BETTER than Imperial. But of course, I've been known to drink just about anything...lol. Thanx for the comment. Where's my Cacique?

What kind of business do you have? Is there a shortage of any particular business or service that you have noticed?

My one question is: what about the whole Visa issue? How does one from the states obtain the proper Visa, so that they can live in Costa Rica ??
