  • I miss moscow, my beautiful home, long live communism

  • Actually we are all communists, because we live in community with other people, it doesn't matter if you are rich or poor. we all have the same kind of problems, that is what makes us humans, in order to achieve happiness we must forget our diferences and unite, that's how we make a peaceful world...

  • Never forget those Moscow Nights, my dear.

  • I dedicated this song to my girlfriend. We are both Mexican by the way. That's how great this song is. The feeling of it is just so epic and romantic.

  • This is the original from what I've heard in my childhood.

  • the world has a lot of wealthy capitalists and communists and somewhere in between those with and without is a lot of beautiful music like this.

  • It´s Moscow Lights. Thx for posting!

  • Just shut up your negative comments folks....Go deeper to this fantastic music and rhymes, enjoy, and dream about socialism (not communist) system...Past was much better indeed...

  • @atmaag Socialism is just a stage until reaching communism you naive so don't talk about not communism just because u may be anti communist

  • @Pavell54 All the workers are brother, ethnicity doesn´t matter!

  • In every Russian video I see the top comment is about the Russian-Serbian brotherhood, You must really love each other, I love both your nations

  • Russian, Polish, american, cuban, vietnamese, colombian...What ALL of you must understand is that, in the end, a soldier have no nationality. We all have families, we all have girlfriends, we all have fear, we all cry, we all bleed.

  • Come on epsilon88, I know Soviets and Nazis did bad things to countries. We're talking about a beautiful Russian song. WWll is well over. Move on. I only idolize great singers and songs. Try it. Have a couple of drinks and a full body massage, naked.

  • I agree with stacycentral comment

  • @wwDevichan Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are all pretty much pro-SS. They even have monuments to SS fighters.

  • Comment removed

  • una bella canzone è una bella canzone parla al cuore tutto il resto è per i barbari. Sono Italiano e piango per questa canzone.

  • @wwDevichan Haha I know, I just took an example which was a bit extreme :)

  • @politai2 does insulting the dead make you feel more democratic or what?

  • @politai2 911

  • What a great people! God Bless them.

  • The hate campaign was conducted by england thru envy & commercial interest

  • The author of this song was born in my city and I'm bloody proud of it!

  • Thinking out loud here; it's kinda sad how we compare everything to American music. I think every country has songs/bands that definitely define and represent the true talent and spirit of said country. It's an awful shame we get into hate wars and shit over the internet.

I for one will just sit here and enjoy the music, who cares what anyone says :3

  • One of the best performances, of one of the most hauntingly beautiful popular songs ever written, IMO. I just love this music.

  • Поздрав православној Лепотици РУСИЈИ из СРБИЈЕ !!! <3 СССР <3

  • CAPITALISM creates ELITE CRIMINALS. BANKERS. DRUG LORDS. INEQUALITY. INSECURITY. GREED. RUTHLESS COMMUNISM. NWO. NAZI. TERRORISM. LAZY PEOPLE. REBEL POLITICIAN. ANARCHY. worst is WAR etc.. etc..

CAPITALISM was designed only for CORRUPT OPPORTUNISTIC MANIPULATIVE LAZY POLITICIAN. BANKERS. LAWYERS. DRUG LORDS. JUDGES. CRIMINALS. DICTATORS. RULERS. KING. SULTANATE. EMPEROR etc. etc..

HARD WORKING PEACE LOVING HAPPY HONEST SOCIETY were always the slave victim and poorly starve to death. :(

  • @kopellhinex Capitalism breeds youtubers

  • That is just Painfully beautiful! painful as in i cant under the song. Sure i can read the English translated lyrics but i wont feel it the way a muscovite would, and I already cant stop listening to the song

  • I heard that song when I was only 8. A friend of my father went to russia as a pilot flying the president of my motherland and brought us a souvenir: a CD called: "From Russia with songs" Totally cool. Moscow Nights was the first song on the CD. THANK YOU RUSSIA!!!!

  • Nice...

  • This reminds me of a good time I had in Vladivostok with the Canadian Navy.

  • How I love the Russian People...they are so deserving of the good life, considering how they have worked so hard. God Bless them forever!

  • @outskool100 Me too

  • @outskool100 Me too CCCP forever!

  • A favorite "modern" Russian song and a favorite of '60s American jazz bands. I don't understand the anti-Russian, anti-American, ant-Chinese, anti-any country comments. In the "Cold War," I faced Soviet troops across the border of divided Germany. Russian, Hungarian, German, & American we now meet as friends over beer and vodka. We're happy we never shot or killed each other. Some of you need to relax & enjoy the beauty each culture and nation brings. I salute my Russian friends.

  • @stacycentral dude you know what?!we need more people like you in power!

  • @armidas200 Thank you, but I'm not interested in "power." Only in serving God and my fellow humans. I do believe that if more people were interested in serving rather than being served, we'd be so much further.

  • @stacycentral I stand corrected:We need more people like you!

  • @stacycentral Exactly Stacy, I am an American who grew up during the Cold War and always respected and admired Russian culture. Propoganda can't sway an entire nation.

  • @SuperAmik I'm American, too. My father was in the Army & I lived in Germany as a "brat." I was later an Army officer. Living in many countries & cultures led me to appreciate them. I remember singing with Italian "guest workers" children, not understanding the words to the songs. Only recently have I learned the meaning of songs like "Bombolo" and teach them to my grandchildren. Every country and culture has both light and darkness in its present and past. The key is focusing on the light. :-)

  • @stacycentral It is good to know that we can be friends even though we were told to hate each other for years. Perhaps we saw each other, I was in 6th Guards Tank Division based in Wittenburg for a year and half until I went to Afghanistan. I think we were more afraid of you than you were us, we were sure that the you would force capitalism and german reunification on us. I am glad you like our music, and I must say I love your barbeque(spell?) when I went to your nation. Salute to new friends!

  • @Redhammer627 more like the german rats would come back and fight but the mother land would not fall

  • @Redhammer627 Ah yes, the 6th Guards Tank. I apologize, but I don't recall the Honorifics? I remember that the division withdrew to Belarus. And Afghanistan, of course, would be the 40th Army. My last tactical assignment was on the staff of the 1st TIGER Brigade, 2nd Armored Division. After that, my assignments were strategic. More comfortable, perhaps, but not the same personal satisfaction of troop assignments. Barbeque is the most accepted. BBQ is shorthand. Perhaps we'll meet! :-)

  • @stacycentral I also served in Germany during the Cold War, in my case just 40 miles across the border from the 39th Guards Motorized Rifle Division. Now I am married to a wonderful Russian woman.

  • In graduate school I had a wonderful Ukrainian professor who served in Uzhhorod, a Russian professor whom I believe was in the 13th Guards (Rodimsev's division) in Hungary, & taught a class with a former SPETSNAZ officer as a student. My Hungarian friends laughed that they didn't take the Army seriously -- unless they got to fight Romania under Ceausescu! Several of our community are recent Russian immigrants who add much to our lives. let's enjoy all this while we can.

  • @stacycentral Well that sounds oh so peaceful and heavenly, but unfortunately we dont live in that world.

  • @SovetskyySoyuzah Unfortunately, no, we don't. I don't think we ever will. All we can do is tend our own part of the garden while we pass through it.

  • @stacycentral You are right though for thinking like that i suppose. Maybe i should be less cynical.

  • @stacycentral I salute you to. I just hope america becomes more left-wing.

  • @MrIhatesafetymode It aslready did

  • @stacycentral So true!!

  • @stacycentral there is not only culture, but government, repressions, mafia and stuff. So yes, USA government = fascism, Russia gorvernment = mafia, Chinese gorvernment = retarded morons killers.

I call them unholy ppl. I could also speak about Israel government.

But ofc, this is not the people from those countries and nothing about the culture.

    But cool story bro

  • @stacycentral молодец все правильно сказал

  • @stacycentral Very well said -- u are an honest person----!!!!

  • why did modern russia adopt this symbol with the double headed phoenix? i thought it was a freemason symbol? is russia run by masonry?

  • @Stopandthink69 it is not a phoenix it is an eagle!

  • @Stopandthink69 As eeee369963 points out, it is an eagle. In fact, it is the double headed eagle of the Roman Empire. It symbolizes that Russia (Austria and the Holy Roman Empire in the West also used the double headed eagle) is an inheritor of the Roman Imperial Legacy, notably the Eastern Roman or Byzantine Empire. The title Tsar (or Czar) is a form of Caesar (as was Kaiser in Germany). It has nothing to do with Masonry.

  • @stacycentral The Russian even started to call Moscow as the third ROME

  • @YaosGloryAndDeath An excellent point

  • @stacycentral thx! ^_^, history always repeats itself, in East Asia similar story happened---after the Mongolian invasion and the Manchu conquest of China, the Japanese and Korean even the Vietnamese started to declare that they were the True Central Kingdom of ancient China.....lol

  • I love Russia, i look at Russia as a wonder place to be. I can only dream living there but sadly im stuck in the US :'(

  • Beautiful, just beautiful!

  • Not withstanding some minor contributions,ie good vodka, you Russians must realize you will foreever be following in the footsteps of America. The American dream is something so powerfull that will propell society including yours into the foreseeable milleniums. Eat well tonight, my friends.

BTW, the Moscow Nights composition IS pure genius

  • that's beautiful. thanks for sharing.

  • As always I hate the arrogants comments of the real Evil empire the united slaves of america. They always show their ignorance and they think they are the savior of the world. To hell with them. One day Russia and/or the rest of the world, will give them a big punishment, and finally will be wipe out of the earth!

  • @FighterVSTirany The Americans are punishing themselves and the USA will be a backwater nation of no economic importance by 2050. The USA is of no cultural importance now, unless you are a beast who idolizes their hip-hop and basketball.

  • @FighterVSTirany Russia and the rest of the world? ha, ever heard of the United Nations? THEY are the world police. the UN would stop any large scale war like that

  • @NonDairyYogurt ...hey nondairyyogurt, or perhaps you should be named FATBURGERBOY? ha,ha,ha....what do you think? I don't know the f...ing UN, I bet that you are an obedient sheep and vow to your masters of the UN. Better don't talk american fullshit arrogance.....DO YOU KNOW CHATA?.......well ....CHATA FUCK-UP!!!

  • @NonDairyYogurt yeah well the WORLD POLICE or U.N could barely do shit in Jugoslav war of independence. I highly doubt that they could stop Russia and or her allies from annihilating the U.S.A. (not that i don't like U.N)

    -Nice Song by the way

  • Remember when we in America were programmed with propaganda

    to despise Russia

    Some of us

    In our Hearts

    Knew better

  • @iAsteroidPlanetSmash And we suffered for it during those times. Which makes our victory now even better. You can not know sweetness until you have eaten much bitterness, as the Chinese say. Remember when we were programmed to hate the Chinese, too? I never did.

  • good music.. bravo.. bravo....rodina

  • This great Russian folk song is also very popular in China and millions of people sing it in Chinese version. It surely evokes a lot of fond memories of this wonderful melody since the late 50s when I was a small kid. Beautiful music lasts forever!

  • It's just touching it made me cry...

Politics and economics aside, capitalist music can never reach this level of humanity and compassion. Soviet songs touch your heart. Many Western people who condemn the Soviet Union haven't read any Soviet novels or listened to any Soviet songs.

  • @leminh91 Beautiful music is beautiful music, no matter if it's made in a capitalist or socialist country :) IMO it's the same with literature.

  • @leminh91 What? They didn't hate eachother for having bad tastes in music... they hated eachother for pointing bombs at the world!

But yes, excellent song. Russian music just melts the heart away

  • @NonDairyYogurt You've got my point wrong ^^. What I mean is that some, or many people are blinded by ideological prejudice and would willfully ignore such beautiful music and literature like this song.

They would argue that because the Soviet system was totalitarian, people are not free and therefore all its art is crap.

The only artists they would care about are the dissident ones, and not all of them are good in music, literature or art in general I would say.

  • @leminh91 Indeed, when people are forced to suffer incomprehensible hardships brought upon by their government, like the forced starvation of millions of Ukrainians, or wars where men are told to either advance forward toward machine guns or be shot. Cities where even your neighbors report to secret police like KGB where you could be sent to gulags for an opinion.

Where a man named Stalin killed nearly 50 million people out of sheer fear of them betraying him. Yes, there is nothing like it.

  • @VladtheImpaler31 Are you a "political" troll? Stop talking about politics and enjoy the song.

You are exactly one of the people I mention in my last comment. Please be more open-minded.

  • @VladtheImpaler31 Vald Tepes, where have you been? We need you.

  • @chump5101 I've been impaling random people that disagree with me.

  • Well. I am from Finland, next to USSR or CCCP or Russian federation as they call it today. I lived my childhood in fear of invasion from russian army. A needles fear since I am now 40 year old and no invasion has happened. I like choir music, especially male choirs, because of the dynamic nature of the performance. Listining for this piece and and others by RRAC, I now believe that a army from nation of people capable of this level of beaty could not have attacked anyone...?

  • @leminh91 alot of the Red Army Choir's songs were written before the reds took over.

  • @BytheBeardofYmir yes, some were, but this song was written in 1955 my friend.

  • @leminh91

I profoundly despised the Soviet Union not because of the Russian novels or music, but because of the communist system that degenerated into the most tyrannical form of social system ever known until now, worse than the nazi Germany. Russian people were nothing but victims of this totalitarian regime. That’s why.

  • @sorinTeo I see you've got your own prejudices. But don't let them blind your eyes when it comes to art and culture! If I find a good novel written in Nazi Germany, I will still appreciate it, though my prejudices on Nazism are probably more intense than yours on the USSR...

  • @leminh91

  • @sorinTeo Well had Stalin not come to power adn Lenin lived longer or perhaps if Trotsky took his place then Stalin would not ahve taken power and the USSR would have been much different. Russia was not Communist it never went through the neccessary steps to become communist but instead it became Stalinist(a form of totalitariate dictatorship)in 1924 had Trotsky not been a jewish Menshivik, turned Bolshevik later on, he may have had a chance.

  • @sorinTeo u are a stupid bull shit

  • 10 people dont know whats music is ... :(

  • pod moskovniya vechera (under moscow nights) . raamsis, excellent english translation. My Russian is such that my translations are literal and remove most of the artistry of the lyrics. Thank you for providing a heartfelt translation. What a beautiful song.

  • @macimacs

This is not an old song. The composer died just a couple of years ago.

  • Soviet march and the Old Coat of arms of the Russian Empire "double-headed eagle" somehow does not look ...

  • Brings tears to my eyes, nothing like a Russian classic

  • ooh this makes me miss my homeland sooooo much... Miss those good old days back when I was a child, listening to the very best russian songs in a warm sunday afternoon...

  • beatiful song,thank you...

  • Much of our modern music is taken from Russian classics

  • This is a tremendously moving and beautiful rendition of one of the loveliest romantic songs ever written. Russia has given so much beautiful music to the world! God bless the great Russian people! Best wishes from America!
