The Final score was 29-24 USC. White could not have reproduced those numbers.

So are you gona deny all the AP National titles that USC, Miami, Oklahoma, Michhigan, etc. have won? In 03 the bcs recognised lsu as champions but the AP crowned SC Champions. The 2003 USC team would have clobbered that lsu team. Lsu lost at home to florida 19-7. Please, SC's only loss that year was at Cal (a very good Cal team) quarterbacked by Arron Rodgers.

I could go deep into arguement with you here and we could argue stats but at the end of the day...you could argue that if they never had bush they could have easily had an effective offense with lendale white. Let us not forgot that a heisman winner named Matt Leinart was also on that team. Truth is we truly wont know....but it could have happened. 1 player can make an impact on a close game..that is the truth..but whos to say that if that player wasnt there that another wouldnt step up.Lendale.

Without him (and the intangibles like the other team thinking "we can't do anything to stop this guy"). How about I take away an infinitive.

@andrewmadden777 I have a hard time believing that. People forget that while Reggie Bush may have been the star RB on that team, LenDale White had the better output. He has more TD's than Reggie Bush, and I'm pretty confident that had Bush not been there, White would have just stepped up more.

@longhorn7 Lendale White was good and was producing, but he was not the same runner as Bush. Bush brought a whole different aspect to the game that White could not. He ran a 4.27 in his forty where as White ran a 4.5. Bush was shiftier and had one game against UCLA where he had 277 yards rushing and receiving combined along with two touchdowns... The Final score was 29-24 USC. White could not have reproduced those numbers.

Look at what has been happening to Ohio St. North Carolina, and soon to come back into investigation later on Auburn. SMU got the death penalty and Alabama was in a tough knit a decade ago. As of right now our program will come back stronger than any of the other teams we have developed in the past. People wont forget a dynasty that ruled the first half of the millennium. Fight On forever.

'71 Huskers were good, but again, trying to compare the sheer athleticism of both teams is somewhat infallible. For their time, these teams were damn good. But sorry, if 2001 Miami played them, it might be interesting for a quarter or two. Nice try.

Well, it goes to show anything can happen. Your cheaters got beat by Texas the very next year, a team we had DOMINATED the year before 12-0. And don't give that bullshit that it was a different team, because it wasn't. Same QB's same coaches, many of the same players. So it goes to show on any given day anything can happen. I think this game is more or less a fluke.

As much as people hate USC & want to call them "cheaters". And rightfully so they played this game with an ineligible player eventhough they didnt know he was ineligble. Fact remains this team couldn't be beat on the fooball field. 55-19 proves it esp since they were going up against an Adrian Peterson led Sooner team. Only an NFL team was going to beat them on the field that year.
