You can't tell from looking at this video, but the people sitting at the back are double leg amputees. There's no room for anyone with legs at the back of this car. Later in the video you can see the driver and companion ditched those poor invalid folks because they disappeared.

I like the classic soft top. I'm hoping that BMW keeps the soft top on the up coming six series. I think this keeps the classic, timeless look of the cabriolet. What a beautiful car!

Before this car came out I would have chosen the Infiniti G37 convertible over all other cabrios consisiting of BMW, Lexus & Audi but this new E-class convertible is stunning. I would take this over any other Luxury Cabrio out in the market today. The E-class always has elegance. Though I can still not understand how they world Justifie an MSRP tag of $56,850 I still think its a diamond. Cheaper alternatives might be the $45K BMW 3 series conv and Infiniti G37 conv.

Unfortunately, the E Coupe and Convertible will not get tuned by AMG. Supposedly the costs and the returns are an issue with Mercedes-Benz. Sad because this would be a beast as a 6.3 AMG. Maybe when they switch over to turbo V6 engines.

I misspoke. AMG just announced a new twin turbo 5.5 liter V8 to replace the 63 motor. Also will be coming out with a smaller 4.6 V8 twin turbo. The previous will have more hp than the 6.2 liter currently in the 63 models AND better fuel efficiency.

Its very disappointing that MB didnt put a steel folding top on the car, as most other "lesser" brands have done this very successfully. Especially considering MB is supposed to be a world leader in safety and security.

YES I KNOW! Who cares about trunk space when you've got the back seat. It makes the car much more valuable when it has the hard top, bad decision on MB's part. My grandfather is actually considering buying one, he'd already be sold though (along with others) if it was hardtop...

@MrDunco999 There are many problems with a steel top - rattling noises, heavy weight, lesser trunk space. Though cool, the more moving parts mean less durable too. If you see the number 4-seater steel top BMWs back on the market for resale, you will see why.

These Mercedes soft tops are as good as steel tops in many respects, including quietness while driving, insulation etc.

Even if mercedes borrowed Audi's lights idea... which brand didn't copied mercedes in everyway from time to time, in engineering for example. Audi for sure dismanteled some mercs in order to be at the same level. I like Audi by the way but mercedes is always a nice option.

for my taste, i would increase the wheel size with nice rims and that's about it... I konw tinting the taillight looks cool but in my "OCD" opinion i just think its safer leaving it as is. so when I turn on my emergency light on, it will be bright so everyone can see it. @,.@ i'm just talking bs here
