Anyway, nice work. Definitely got the idea down even if it is a little rough around the edges, I think you got the basic idea down, ISMBO. But like Rebeccaelm said, little more wubby-wub-wub to get the Dubtrot feel down.
@HaveAnArtAttack Why thank you! The kicks are the only thing I like during the dubstep part. And the china cymbal. After making this I've realized that metalcore bass drops and dubstep bass drops are sort of alike.
@HaveAnArtAttack How could I improve on mixing? I'm still learning about that.
The main synth in this I embarrassingly use almost in every electronic song I've made. ISMFOF made me fall in love with those kinds of lead synths.
Metalcore is an extremely hard style for mixing/mastering. It's a style that sometimes EQ can never fully solve. Tone, how things are mic'd, and the precision in recording are important keys to making guitars sound good.
its good. ill say that. im more into metal or techno but ive started to get into dubstep. at one point in there its sounds kinda like what artattack does so thats a good thing. only problem is length. this would be a great song if it had the length. its no failure though. dont sell yourself short
I don't know what you're talking about failing for. That was one of the better pieces of dubstep, and I /like/ dubstep! It had much more depth and taste than a lot of dubstep!
@nhavas Just the dubstep part? I used a 3xOsc going through an automated formula controller that's modulating a low pass filter, then going through some vocodex thing I found, and then an EQ and overdrive vst with a little distortion. The other parts were somehow influenced by this one song by The Bravery. I forgot what song. I haven't listened to them in years.
I'm extremely picky when it comes to Dubstep, but this was really damn good. But your real talent lies within metalcore. Either way, you're amazing no matter what you do :D
The only fail is the length! You have something really good coming with this, and my tip to you would probably be that you need some deeper/lower wubs in between some of the higher ones. Although I've never made any music so don't listen to much to me :P
I approve of this short and experimental song, although I can't differentiate dubstep from half the other styles, I found the overall feel in the song great.
ISMBOFepicly and dubstep? I can not complain.

Was good until the drop. Keep the low heavy basslines at the start and don't make it sound so electro after the drop.

Ah man I gotta start making some music. I wanna be a famous brony too! Oh yeah and for the music itself of course.

@ISMBOFepicly Nah, you have good wobble patterns and some unique synths. It's the mixing that's getting you.
Also, I wish I could metalcore >_<

I'm not one for dubstep cause, imo, it usually doesn't fit in with the song and they all sound the same. But this was fantastic for a first time

Actually I'd be interested to know how you made this piece of music. What did YOU use / do to make this piece of dubstep? because it sounds awesome.
