I Love DS9. Its hard to make me cry, but when i watched Julian and O'Brien hug before Miles left tears came to my eyes and i didnt try to hold them in. It might be odd to be so attachted to a television series but the characters from DS9 were more than just characters. They felt like family.

@blueborealis Its 7x14 Chimera - Odo had met another changeling called Laas who could turn into things like fire and fog. He decided to stay with Kira instead of leaving with Laas and turned into a cloud of light to show her what he could now do.

Its always sad seeing a series like Deep Space Nine come to an end. Even more sad seeing DS9 shrinking from sight and eventually becoming another light in the endless, final frontier.

I never really watched DS9 but yesterday i had nothing to do so i ended up watching the very last episode i had no idea what was going on but i felt a connection to the characters i was in floods of tears at the end when they were all saying goodbye to each other, and having to go their separate ways. it was one of the most moving moments i have seen in star trek matched only by the Voyager episode Year of Hell when janeway orders the senior officers to leave voyager :'( thanks for posting this!

The Bashier/O'Brien friendship was the greatest ever in Star Trek history. I am still very attached to this amazing series, although I do find it tough watching the last moments with Jake and Nerys are looking at the worm hole ...

I always felt it was a MAJOR slam against Terry Ferrel not to include her in the ending moments. Worf wouldn't have been reminiscing over Ezri--he'd be thinking of his wife.  I wish you would have spliced some more scenes of her in this.

Deep Space Nine definitely the best "Trek" series of all! Loved the mythology behind the Sisko character. Avery Brooks rules as a Captain! He definitely could hold his own with unsavory Klingons or the Jem Hadar! Um, really liked the Dabo girls too!

I've only seen handful of DS9 eps (mostly from youtube), and I think I missed out on a great series.

I was a huge fan of Next Generation growing up, but for some reason this show never clicked. Still, I plan on watching whatever eps are put on youtube, not to mention catching any reruns.

I have a question though. Does the Dax creature control the trill completely or is there an entirely new entity - a Dax/Trill combined person - formed? Also, are the Dax creatures sexless?

There were a lot of Cardassians on Deep Space 9. Cardassians are in the Gamma Quadrant, Federation is in the Alpha Quadrant, so it would probably be in between the Alpha and Gamma Quadrants. Also because it was used for a lot of trading with the Ferengi.

No, she had a chance to be on a new series (Becker) near the end of season 6 and since DS9 only had 1 more year to go she decided to take the job. She did not want her character to be killed off and want them to leave the door open for guest spots.

I actually love the last episode of DS9 because of exactly these moments. The producers somehow managed to summarize the entire 7 years in just a few "remember" scenes of the characters when they leave. It's just a great ending (ok it made me cry ;) )

ya I know....TNG and DS9 did well with ending out with the newer uniforms...but they make voyager look liek the evebn further in the future from ds9 when its really is the past...cus they never ended it with everyone wearing the new uniforms like this show and the tng movies!!!
