Seriously, i wanted to play this game, because it looked really good. But after i installed it the graphics on my PC looked horrible. I mean i would of understood if my PC was shitty, but it's not. @ihatefurrys StarCraft is pretty much the same warhammer, with different rulles, less races, and recource gathering system. Warhammer DoW II is more tactical and SC is faster and requires a lot of training.

@mrchacko matter of opinion, to me a real RTS would be were you control armies instead of just a squad, RPG. I'm sure that can be argued but it is just my opinion.
@TheTechmanthefirst DoW 2 is infact a radical new type of RTS. Standard RTS, like DoW 1, Red Alert, SC and so on, got a mix of macro and micro intensive gameplay, where you have to build a base, get a solid echonomy and create the best unit composition against your enemy. I think DoW 2 is trying to be something new. It's clearly a heavily micro-focused strategy game where little things such as positions, timing and unit synergy play a much more gigantic role than tradtitional types of RTS..
@trondy89 I wouldn't call it radical, they had fallout: tactics which was the same gameplay, tactical over the head display with like 6 people, granted it was more an RPG, maybe I'm just being the devils advocate with me. But yeah I get what your saying.

Anyone know if there's a way to install this off of the CD? I installed it on another computer, but have since gotten a better one, with the exception that I can't just install the game; I have to download the entire fucking thing that I already have on a CD to take up 10 times as much hard drive space while simultaneously giving up the internet for 3 days while it downloads.

I can honestly say that this game will bring about the true rivalry between the Chaos Marines and the Space Marines... To see the real fighting and anger and hatred towards each other and the feeling of betrayal, unlike the other Dawn of War games, which they weakly hint at rivalry but more on the basis of belief and the difference in agendas.

@mrchacko matter of opinion, to me a real RTS would be were you control armies instead of just a squad, RPG. I'm sure that can be argued but it is just my opinion.

@TheTechmanthefirst DoW 2 is infact a radical new type of RTS. Standard RTS, like DoW 1, Red Alert, SC and so on, got a mix of macro and micro intensive gameplay, where you have to build a base, get a solid echonomy and create the best unit composition against your enemy. I think DoW 2 is trying to be something new. It's clearly a heavily micro-focused strategy game where little things such as positions, timing and unit synergy play a much more gigantic role than tradtitional types of RTS..

@trondy89 I wouldn't call it radical, they had fallout: tactics which was the same gameplay, tactical over the head display with like 6 people, granted it was more an RPG, maybe I'm just being the devils advocate with me. But yeah I get what your saying.

Anyone know if there's a way to install this off of the CD? I installed it on another computer, but have since gotten a better one, with the exception that I can't just install the game; I have to download the entire fucking thing that I already have on a CD to take up 10 times as much hard drive space while simultaneously giving up the internet for 3 days while it downloads.

I can honestly say that this game will bring about the true rivalry between the Chaos Marines and the Space Marines... To see the real fighting and anger and hatred towards each other and the feeling of betrayal, unlike the other Dawn of War games, which they weakly hint at rivalry but more on the basis of belief and the difference in agendas.
