y'know zevon wrote a song making fun of ronnie van zant's band

but it was a magnificent tune

now here comes earle mocking ms rice

but i gotta admit i like this one too

warren & steve 2 of my most admired musical artists

emphasis on artist genius's both no doubtsy boutsy

but for a while there skynyrd was a damn good band

and rice most impressive you ask me

I'm really frustrated rght now...

I'm a huge fan of Steve Earle and there's hardly any tutorials of his music on here. I mean there's the most famous songs but that's about it.

It's hard to even find chords online for his tunes :(

I mean these type ones.... I'm thinking about started a youtube account specifically for the use of teaching people steve earle tunes.

Cut yourself some slack!, because you can learn any song you want. Try tuning to open G (DGDGBG-low to high...) you may find some of Steve's songs fall out of your guitar...

his older stuff I know is usually standard tuning...

or maybe the open G just makes things easier ?

I'm going to see him and his wife the 25th of May in Århus, Denmark. It'll be the forth time I see him live. First time was 1997 solo, 1997 w/Dukes, and the third time was in '06 with the Bluegrass Dukes in Tonder, Denmar....God what a fantastic gig!
