sampling is an artform..recycling. But covering a whole song is just gay..but on the other hand if its done right, it can be a dope thing though. In a respectable way.

apparently when they re-released this album back in 2000? 2001? the powers that be tried to get him to do some shows. I heard that he was so painfully awkward and uncomfortable at the Filmore show in San Francisco that they knew right then and there that he wasn't really meant to be onstage. Brilliant artist it's too bad.

He declined the offer, along with the chance to work with Quincy Jones in helping produce Otis' next album (which was never recorded).
Some people on a Beyonce Blog just hipped me to Shuggie. I don't know how I missed him in my youth. I think he might of been about 3 or so years before I was old enough to get it. But I get it now. I love this - gotta find these CDs.
