thats because its been over a year since it happened, i remember the road washed away went there the next day after the hit no one had alot of time for this, i remember we had to get picked up from school early cause the cyclone was coming. apparently there was goin to be a tornado but never happend. they are still building the same road.
oman is good now they wher able 2 fix everything ova the summer....my heart goes out to the families who wher trying 2 run away but got draged under. and also 2 the ppl who lost ther families....:(
funny you should say that, Ive been checking out a website called accuweather & looks like were in for severe winds Thursday and lots & lots of rain. Please keep me updated, as everyone Ive spoken to, thinks Im paranoid after Gonu (maybe I am, but would rather be paranoid than brown bread.
thats very kind of you, all help is much appreciated.Indian School Gubrah R fantastic& sending out much needed aid to all communities. Remember a lot of these people were poor before Gonu hit, now their plight is worse as they can not replace lost items. Im touched by so much help and kindness shown by so many people. A lady said to me, "god bless you" to which I replied, he already did. My family all safe and accounted for. Lets have a new motto "It aint Gonu beat us",
Hi back gst1, yes I agree with you, everything in life happens for a reason, we just cant always figure out the reason, but we are all in gods hands and life is one big test, not only of our faith, but believe in others. Allhumdulla, we will rise above Gonu.
Ive been out & about for 10days now, the only pics I have are in my head. This is so much bigger than being potrayed to the rest of the world. Ive seen such devestation, many missing, many dead, aid still not getting to through to some isolated places. I was in a convoy on Fridayheading towards Quriyat (badly affeected) some villages seen no one
me to, i have joined volunitry work since 10 days, and yeah, what i have seen is much worse than those pics in the video. soon i will post another video which has more pics from many cities in Oman. Hopefully Oman will be rebuilt in short time with God's will. Everyone, never stop praying for this beloved country
we cant change whats happened, but perhaps we can try to benefit, Gonu will go down in the history books as black wednesday, weve all been part of this. Ive thought of a way to raise much needed money for the victims of Gonu. With the permission of all who have shown video footage, make a disc showing the cyclone and ite effects, sell it for say RO5, and give ALL profits to help rebuild lives.Trouble is, Im crap with computors, so any volunteers ?
u read my mind :P am already working on it since a time now. still waiting to get more pics from ppl i know. the thing it may take longer time than i expected because the lack of free time i have and the time conflict with my work. but i'll keep u updates
Im rubbish with computors but let me know if I can be of any help. In yestedays times of Oman, Oman mobile advertising that they are selling download pics, so Ive contacted them to ask where will the money go? as no mention of giving it to charity.will keep you updated
