Well at least some people are looking forward to it. I heard It's actually been pushed to 2009 due to scheduling conflicts and man power. The guy is working on it alone ya know. Besides we haven't heard anything about this project since May 2008 and that was back when the Godzilla model was announced to be completed.

So it's going to ignore that Ghidorah was beaten and turned into a cyborg who carried G off before they crashed into the ocean. He was then found in the next movie so they could build Mecha Godzilla.
