Marlee Matlin is great! My best friend is deaf and if she caught anyone making fun of deaf, then she would tell them to f*** off too lol. I only have one complaint, where are the captions? This is a video with a deaf actress but there are no captions for deaf people to enjoy the video.

Deaf people aren't dumb...Marlee is far from an idiot..and she speaks differently as she has never heard her own voice..the only difference between hearing and deaf is that the ears don't work..nothing else!

borndemented86, I'm still sitting around at my flat with my flash cards and ASL dictionary, but I intend to enroll in ASL 1 at the local university as soon as I can work it out financially and can get my forms in order.

I have taken 4 classes. I took ASL 1 twice, once for fun once for a grade. I took 3 semesters at college. I also go thru an ASL dictionary and an ASL web browser, which has someone signing the word in a little video clip. You could always do a FAFSA, if you live in the US. It paid for just about everything for me. Although i didi have a $12 health fee, but other then that all my classes were covered.

Free Application For Student Aid. It tells you all the grants you qualify for. I live in california so i got a Cal grant, and a pell grant. All you do it type FAFSA into google and you can do it all online. They will even dorect deposit the money into your account.
