as a fisherman myself i have been caught out at sea in a storm 12 in a 60ft fishing boat in the north sea that was the only time i was frightend two days we were head up into it just to keep her from rolling over

Yes, they are. They depend solely on donations. Most of them only receive small expense allowances (I'm unsure about the correct English term). I can't say how much I respect the work of those people. It's a great comfort to know, that these highly motivated men are there, if you need them.

You´re complete wrong. BAD weather is not like landrats call it, when its rainy. Bad weather means the hight of the waves... as you could see... they are ´bout 4-6m in average. So that would tell a sailor: wind with about 80km/h. Which is known as HEAVY Storm or Orcan to landrats.

Sailors do not reveal to RAIN... nuisance. What counts are the WAVES. If you get wet by rain... lol... thats coastlife? We dont count rain as "bad weather"... but wind and waves....

Ähem. Doch. Ich bin bisher getestet absolut seefest. Aber im Schützenpanzer wurde mir bei dem selben Bewegungen übel. Liegt vermutlich daran, das du den Horizont sehen können musst ? :) keine Ahnung. Oder daran das ich Nordfriese bin... wen kratzen Wellen, solange es keine Bodenwellen sind ;)

It's the north sea, the harbour of the first vessel is Bremerhafen.

The second ship was the Vormann Steffens on it's way to Helgoland. A german Island in the north sea, to reliefe the Wilhelm Kaisen.
