Taal Dance Co - happy to see this video! I am from the Bay Area and really enjoyed watching these trained dancers perform when they performed at shows up here awhile back. They always did a solid job of bringing together the East and West, and simply allowing artists to be free with their spirits and talents. Very cool to see this video of a live performance with Karsh. Saw the two groups perform together at a huge charity fundraiser; it was outstanding. Love Karsh's melody.

Taal improv and Karsh live Tabla; marvelous mix of the 2 groups/artists. Do they always work together? Would be great to see Taal dancing in some of Karsh's videos, or perhaps that already exists. Either way, lovely beats and talented dancers.

Saw this show live, and the dancers and music were both outstanding. I have years of classical dance training, and I appreciate how these artists are promoting fusion in dance and free expression in the arts. The audience loved the show.

Wow, I can't believe we are talking about the same dance troupe! I saw Taal at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles and hired them for a prestigious private event in Hollywood and could not have been more happy. i researched them prior and they are classically trained in different styles. All I can imagine at this show is that a freestyle tabla solo didn't lend itself to a genre other than Kathak, which not all the girls are trained in as far as I know.
