  • I like the game, but shove that capitalism military industrial complex shit up your ass! More like the rest of the world except for America.

  • @Shadyac21 really dude?

  • Fox narrating himself when level starts xD

  • 'Macbeth is a tragic tale of capitalism and the military industrial complex.'

    in short, America spot-on.

  • 5:20 - Oh! I had been wondering for years what the hell that was. I had thought it was the fuel bunker, and whoever wrote that line was just really off.

  • I spot the train? Was that grammatical error fixed in the 3DS version like the Fichina Fortuna thing?

  • Laughed myself silly at that comment wondering about how Pepper made general!

  • You should try comparing the landmaster to the walking-on-the-ground characters in the multiplayer mode.

  • I've never been really good at this game, I bet you must have played this a lot as a kid?

  • Time to face the Doom Train!

  • You have the specs for the SF: Assault Landmaster

  • @furygun81 No.

  • @concordat

I used to think in SF64 it had tracks (but it had 8 wheels). The Assault Landmaster has 4 wheels and the SSBB Landmaster has um... tracks?

  • hey concordat, at 0:44 you said there's no turret on the landmaster. no offense but i can clearly see one =)

  • once i got to this level without my wing-men........i had a terrible day ._.

  • Specs are inaccurate. Only reasonable explanation given that the Landmaster is a one-pilot vehicle.

  • @wingdairu Well yeah, still funny.

  • @concordat then again, (just noticed this when looking at my copy of the blueprints) the units are marked as sm, not m...probably space meters, which would be closer to a foot if the height of the star fox team relative to other nintendo characters in brawl is to be believed. but space meters is a silly term for a unit of measurement, so...yeah.

  • The DOOM train. LOL!

  • supply depot......terran much?

  • @noahsmind Depots were supplies are stored are actual, real-life things. Also this game came out before Starcraft.

  • @concordat thats like saying marines existed before starcraft. thats a load of shit man

  • @concordat you should add a annotation making another "i'll see you after class young man" joke

at 1:45 he says "i spot the train" instead of " i have spotted the train" or "i've spotted the train"

  • i think theres a wall there 3:49

  • Landmaster: a house-sized, super-fast Tank Destroyer with limited aerial capabilities and retardedly fast firing speed? :D

  • "I spot the train, i'm taking it out"

    I spot... I SPOTTED.

  • lol, capitalists.

  • @Sheepytown the worst

  • @concordat Couldn't agree with you more. Also fascists are shitheads as well.

  • You know, thinking about the size of the Landmaster, it's closely enough the same size as an Arwing, and the crew only just fit into one. See where I'm going with this? Then, there is the Great Fox which seems massive enough as it is. Now it seems bigger seeing as it can fit a house into that small hatch at the bottom.

    Jesus.

  • @TheEFoy11 Eh my guess is that the player's guide is wildly inaccurate given the size of on-foot characters vs the Landmaster in multiplayer. Still funny to me that they gave it those specs.

  • I loved your commentary.

I have a question, did you change the stage music somehow, because I remember it being different.

  • @chaosspork Yes. He has done that to every single stage by turning the music off and playing a different piece of music while playing the game, I think

  • I loved your commentary.

  • I loved your commentary.

  • @Bippy97 lol i thought fleas would of been the term here XD

  • Jesus fuck, I never knew the Landmaster was the size of a fucking Baneblade.

  • Katt?! Not you again!

  • 2:58 SLIPPY stole your kill! That's gotta HURT!

  • I kinda view the Landmaster the same way as the Sherman, light, quick, easy to operate and probably capable of large production. Truth is, many modern tanks have easily exposed treads (some with wheels or just canons mounted on SCVs).

The thing can hover, which is a tactical advantage over road side bombs, debrea, cliffs, rivers and mine fields. The other big factor is that it's a 1 man crew, meaning less man power for each and mass pro. + flip dodges. So it can be successful for real combat.

  • who would have thought a commentary for SF 64 could be so freakin funny! :DD

  • 3:02 A house-sized tank doing constant somersaults. 0_0

  • macbeth was the coolest stage. Or at least the most fun..

  • Haha, I loved the little analysis and your comments for this.

  • "Train conductor puts on his rape face. As he enters a tunnel. In a train."

    Somewhere George Carlin is smiling.

  • The landmaster is pretty much a combination of a tank and an artillery.

  • judging by the size of the train compared to the fuel bunker, now, i'm just guessing here, the bunker would be....oh maybe 2000 square meters and and 700 meters high. and the explosion......i'm gonna have to say several miles high and dozens of miles wide. again, this is just a guess.

  • Regarding the "Falco getting crabs" comment, this is a universe where pretty much every lifeform from Earth except humans pilots ships. The Crabs are more likely to be your neighbours than a disease.

  • The music is from Final Fantasy VIII if anyone is interested. :D

  • 3:11 When the hell do bombs curve like that?

  • So you're going to attack the enemy base? Great idea Fox!

_General Pepper doing his Captain Obvious impression

  • I noticed the Landmaster is actually bigger than the Blue Marine...what? Since when are tanks bigger than subs? Especially combat subs?

  • Holy balls that tank is fricking huge.

I thought some of the height/weight profiles on JRPG's were absurd but...dear lord.

  • To answer your question at 0:26 ...Obama must have appointed him. Nuff said. :P

  • @Yomamma1338 who let the young republicans in here

  • @concordat

    It's called a joke. ;)

As for me, I consider myself an independent. ^^

  • @Yomamma1338 i consider you a nuisance, fuck off

  • @concordat you always mention the players guide but you never mention the fact how in the character section it had a bunch of links of how characters knew each other, but you never mention how it links the katt and falco with "ROMANCE?" i mean, when i was 7 reading that i was like WTF!? and now im like, "...? never mentioned again"

    although, thats probablyfor the better

  • Dude, I'd rather have capitalism, democracy, and free trade over comunism, a comand economy, socialism, and a dictatorships. And the military protects us. Also you play a game in which you help out the military yet you hate it. You are one f'ed up Hippie.

  • @TheTdog1994 You act like the things in these two lists cannot coexist in a single government, or that one set is inherently good and the other inherently bad. You also seem to be putting words in my mouth. I don't hate the military and I never said as much. I'm afraid the world is much more nuanced than that. Capitalism and free trade can conflict with democracy, and democracy and socialism can coexist. Learn what these things actually mean before spouting off bullshit on my comments page.

  • @concordat lol TheTdog1994 is more like TheTbitch now. <- totally mature

  • @concordat Bah. Everything about the government is inherently evil. The question is when and where it may be necessary. :P

    ~TheHolyDarkness Out~

  • @TheTrueHolyDarkness If men were angels, no government would be necessary.

  • @TheTdog1994

Have you noticed that the Cornerian military is kind of douchey? I mean they make the same team of 4 people do everything for them, then bitch about the results.

  • the "doom" train? its the forever train! plus i watched this to see the switch part!

    :(

  • @Elijahbabyluigifan I left Forever Train on there for a split second. And there's always part II, sorry.

  • Wasn't Macbeth hollow originally?

  • I'd like to think Falco's grumpy attitude towards Katt stems from their racial differences: She a cat, he a bird. That said, this also leads to much angry sexual tension.

  • @devindenman and great sex!

  • if you complete the actual objective you have to face starwolf on venom if the just kill the boss than you face starwolf above venom

  • I suppose with all these medals, you've unlocked the on-foot mode in multiplayer?

  • Holy Crap! The Landmaster is a monster tank, despite it's pretty flawed designs.

  • THE DOOM TRAIN XD

  • dude your a genius

  • dude your a genius

  • is the song from ff8?

  • 'Screwing over thier workers.'

  • @concordat X( why does it show this comment three times...

  • @mrguyorama2 because youtube was being a dumb cunt and not updating my comments sections after I posted.

  • @concordat hahaha youtube is often that way

  • Umm BTW the landmaster is only twice as tall as the abrams, not the at least three times as large as you show it to be. Your size comparison is massively wrong

  • @mrguyorama2 I think what I did was resized the images to approximate each other's length in meters in MS paint so it is entirely possible I did it wrong. This was back in 2007, so forgive me if I don't remember what I did.

  • I recognize the VGM at the vids start. That's the song that plays sometimes in FF VIII. But whatever, I'm more interested in the vid.

  • How does Katt appear? You came to Macbeth from Sector X!

  • @lunguvirgil3 video editing.

  • @concordat Oh thank you.

  • @lunguvirgil3 are you serious, it says in the video right before she appeared.

  • @lunguvirgil3 He Came From Zoness In his Video Editing, DUH

  • The joke about "crabs" got me laughing my ass off! This is one of my favorite LP's!

  • holy crap, that's ff8 music!

  • I'd drool at the chance to drive a Landmaster tank.....

*Imagines barrel rolling across Middle Eastern sands*

  • man i love your videos you always have something funny or wittish to say and almost always get a medal. And you dislike slippy :D

  • lucky for you or the enemy?

  • I love the train conductor's Texan accent. Despite the fact that there IS no "Texas" anywhere in the Lylat system.

  • @ZzMorningWoodzZ Not to mention when Falco mentions Einsten when there is no Einstein anywhere in the Lylat system.

  • i could never get all those switches

  • amazing a tank the size of a small house can "do a barrel roll!!!!"

  • Well, imagine Fox calling on THAT Landmaster for his final smash. XD

  • great ff VIII music

  • Isn't Macbeth a Shakespeare play?

  • yeah it was

  • There's something wrong here. The land master is not 8m tall, it's 8sm tall, so it may be a fictional unit of measure on Lylat.

  • SPACE METERS.

  • Allright, that beast is gi-normous.

Maybe that explains why in SFA it said that "This is a lighter and more powerful version of the Landmaster."

  • @concordat Oh god, I laughed hard.

  • @concordat where is your source sir!!!

  • .....Wait a minute, Macbeth was once an Aerospace Manufacturer?

  • your still doing it wrong, aerospace manufacturer does not need to be capitalised, FF8 briefing music lol, nice

  • The DOOM Train! Oh yeah!

  • Of course, if the Landmaster is the size of a small house, then that means that the creatures in the Star Fox galaxy are pretty damn tall too.

  • The size of a small house? This just made me like the Landmaster that much more :)

  • "I imagine Andross just walked into a meeting one day and shot everyone in the face."

Sad thing? I can imagine that too. Think the shooting scene from Dogma.

  • Then again the tank is awesome so I am not whining about it, but it would be awesome to pick the vehicle you use

  • If you shoot the bottome of the towers at the start, it will somehow kill the enemy on top of it, scoring you a hit +1

  • When you study a bit of history, the concept behind this level becomes infuriating. You see, one of the most effective ways for the allies to take out supply trains in WW II was to gun them down in airplanes. This was considered the easy way to take out a supply train. So Fox, master tactician that he is, opts to use the tank x_x

  • @boredmuskoxen The Landmaster is far more powerful and a lot more heavilly armoured than an Arwing, like he said, that train is ****ing massive.

  • The arwing is faster though; not a lot that the train throws at you would do much good against it. I also have a sneaking suspicion that the Arwing is better armed too.

  • I adore the FF8 music. :D Sweet choice.

  • Let's bear in mind when looking at the landmaster that lasers are the primary weapons of the game, not kinetic ballistics which would necessitate the kinds of armor features you mention. The landmaster can probably get away with its poor design because of plasma shielding.

  • men, the ground shakes too much haha

  • Some advice: I let the Gun car go ahead with the other cars so I can get a few extra points. I also use lotso bombs to finish off the train. It's the damn Hoppers that are hard to get, though. : /

  • You absolutely win for the awesome choice of music, I laughed too hard at that XD

Also, thanks to your vid on Titania I got more music to listen to!

  • This is why they don't hire furries to pilot airplanes.

  • Well. And, they would yiff on the planes if they could.

  • Hi Concordat I like the music from Final Fantasy 8 it goes with the Macbeth stage very nicely

  • I'd say Pepper made General considering that the planet's desolate and the only other people are statues (ending cutscene). : P

  • HOLY CRAP, THAT LANDMASTER IS HUGE!

  • 1. The engine and the cars (not counting the Gun car) is probably only 4 - 6 times as tall as the Landmaster.

    2. 1:39 Matrix?

  • great not anthor sonic x ****

  • The Landmaster's a great tank, but it's a little hard to aim. Then again, I've got this game for the VC, so I guess it would be understandable.

  • So does this mean Actors won't wantto play this game? I mean, it IS The Scottish Planet and all.

  • If that's the Landmaster's size... THEN WHAT'S THE ARWING'S SIZE!?

  • What About The Damn GREATFOX?!!

  • The Bosses...

  • The Planet Or The Damn LYLAT SYSTEM!

  • I wonder about the Halberd from Smash Bros. Brawl. Great Fox was half the size of that beast!

  • Holy S#1t, That means it could destroy Macbeth!!!

  • Wait a minute, what about the Subspace Gun!?

  • This Level is awsome, even with the creepiest quote in the Star Fox series in it.

  • which is?

  • "What's wrong? Come a little closer!"

  • I never before realized how big that Landmaster was. O.O

  • A lot of things in this game are meant to scale. At the end of the level, look at the size of the Arwings in comparison to the Landmaster. Then look at the Arwings and the teams' heads.

So the Landmaster and train are probably to scale to the size of the animals.

Conclusion: The Lylat system is massive compared to us and could probably crush our Solar System like a grape.

  • While your conclusion made me laugh, I think its more likely that the people who made the players guide wanted a sense of realism but didn't have the slightest clue what they were doing.

  • Yeah me too. I just like your commentary.

  • If you hover you can aim downward and splash your charge shots against the ground for more points against the rocks.

  • So how big would fox be? the size of a ford pinto?

  • Macbeth is my favorite level in this game.

  • w\it says dom train. what des it really say?

  • The Forever Train

  • I appreciate the soundtrack you used here.

  • ill stick with my black abrams

  • if Falco got crabs from Katt... doesn't that mean she's a slut or something?

  • yes she got them from JFK

  • Haha. Lol ^_^

  • What the fuck man?

Think of this: If the Landmaster is 8 meters tall, then the train must be like thrice its size. The switches must be 15 meters tall and holy fuck, the switcher itself must be 9 meters wide and 16 meters tall.

Conclusion: The Lylat system is gigantic taking in mind that 1.6 meter tall people drive those fucking monsters.

  • i spot the train! 1 really bad grammah. and 2 How the fuck can you Not see the train!?!

  • What appears to Katt?

  • Wow... I REALLY need to get a Landmaster now.

  • lmao

  • Lol, Andross didn't need to shoot the CEOs. He probably just got his patsy nephew Andrew to do it for him.

  • Or Maybe The Whole Star Wolf Team. (Though Wolf Could Have Taken Most of Them By Himself)

  • Holy crap stop capitalizing every single word.

  • I Can't Help It.

  • @juniorgeneric

Man, I've seen your comments all over the place!!

  • @juniorgeneric yes you can, stfu

  • The train enigner is like theyre not taking me seriously, Who the fuck would die from rocks. Im glad u killed that fat ass eninger.

  • i noticed that in the tunnel the conductor detaches a large portion of the total train just to make it harder, then he detaches the last fuel tanker to lighten the load and go at his top speed (which isn't very fast).

  • the train conductor is fred thompson

  • 1 question if u look closly the landmaster is the same size as the plane in that missin u have to save slippy but in the plane u are i little smaller then the plane so haws the tank big as a haus if its olmost big as the plane and the plane is olmost your size well bigger i dont get it?????

  • Most likely answer: The Players Guide is inaccurate. Also modern air superiority fighters are quite large. Compare the size of a Su-27, F-15, or F-22 to their pilots.

  • mabey the characters from starfox are giants...

  • How did you edit it to say " The Doom Train" at the beginning?

  • I imported an image into the video with that in the place of "Forever"

    chugga chugga WOO WOO

  • Did you make the image or did you find it somewhere? If you made the image then how did u do it?

  • ...its text on a black background, that shit isn't hard.

  • Why the hell would you put FF8 music over this? SF64 had perfectly fine music.

God it irritates me when people put music over speed runs.

  • iiiiits nooooooot a speeeeeed run

  • who the fuck is Katt? I have been playing this lvl for years and ive never seen her

  • So you've never played Zoness.
