  • Excuse me if I'm being foolish ut what was the tell tell sign of chip 2 being faulty was it because that was the first number to come up on the display ?

  • Do this: hold down the transpose button while powering up the synth. Now you're in test mode. Press both the Poly 1 and 2 buttons. Set the filter in order to have the reso at maximum and the cutoff about at 1/3. Then play a note, better in high octaves. Everytime you press a key (always the same note) on the display you'll see which voice is playing (1 to 6). For every voice you should hear about the same sound. If this doesn't happen, recheck and eventually redo all the calibration procedure

  • Thank you very much for your answear! Are you sure it is a slider problem? Isn't it a problem with the oice chips not being tuned together? The chips are clones and the filter without the resonance sounds like the original. The problem is that the cut off point isn't even for all the voices. I can't seem to figure out why this is?

  • @madskinnerup Remember that to do the calibration procedure you need an oscilloscope. You'll find all the calibration procedure instructions here:

    t i n y u r l . com / 2u5sxbz (remove spaces)

The procedure starts at page 18. You don't need to do it on the power supply, so start directly from "DCO CV OFFSET (MODULE BOARD". On the module board there are the test pins where you have to hook the oscilloscope's probes (it's all told in the instructions). Be careful not to short anything

  • To me seems a slider issue. Take out the panel board, take out all the dust and dirt with compressed air and give a good spraying in the sliders with WD-60 contact spray. If the sliders are OK recheck if you done correctly the calibration procedure, eventually redo it completely.

The new chips are original or clones? Original chips, even if unused, WILL fail as they're bad designed. Clones are more reliable and sounds identical (I have clones in my Juno and sounds exactely like the original)
