I would ensure that the fabric the ribbon is very light weight. Otherwise, I would suspect that damage may occur to the small servo that controls the tail. I would contact Sony Aibo Support via email to be sure.
The tail can handle the weight of the aibo against a wall no problem. Its not common for the Aibo to develope DTS (droopy tail syndrome). Sony would not know jack, sadly. A ribbon will not effect the aibo's tail mechanism.
