It was part of Sutjeska offensive (after Neretva).. handzar ss did not exist as fighting force at that time...The main axis force were german divisions + mixed croatian/german divisions. On the other side were partisans form Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro. Ethnically, 50% serbs, 35% croats and remaining moslems and montenegrians.
There was no slovenian chetniks. It is a religion thing. Slovenian ar catholics, chetniks are not. There were traitors called Belagarda during the ww2 in Slovenia. They even took an oath to Hitler in Maribor Slovenija in 1944.

@popper504 Must say that the Italian military was not worthless. Most of its officers were bad, we all know their equipment was old... but they fought on given the odds. I know many Italian veterans of WW-II and they all fought hard and well (Alpini, Bersaglieri, Para, Pilots) My father-in-law fought the entire war, even with the RSI. He was an officer in the Bersaglieri, wounded 4 times and two silver medals for valor. So please do not disrespect Italians from WW-II. Thank you.

It was part of Sutjeska offensive (after Neretva).. handzar ss did not exist as fighting force at that time...The main axis force were german divisions + mixed croatian/german divisions. On the other side were partisans form Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro. Ethnically, 50% serbs, 35% croats and remaining moslems and montenegrians.

There was no slovenian chetniks. It is a religion thing. Slovenian ar catholics, chetniks are not. There were traitors called Belagarda during the ww2 in Slovenia. They even took an oath to Hitler in Maribor Slovenija in 1944.

I'm Serb, Germans were corretc to Serbian people, they saved Serbian population in one town in Srem region who was in Croatia during war. Italians also were correct but croatian ustasha, Handzar SS and albanians are snakes in man's clothes. The only goal of his regime was to kill many people most of them Serbs. Thanks to German and Italian military, Tito and his commies are terrorists

The Germans would of won a war with any nation 1 on 1 during this part of history. Germany was always fighting on numerous fronts. Hilter was rushing his plans and had enemies on too many sides. Once his deal/treaty ended with Russia things were doomed. But as said 1 on 1 Germany would be victorous.

And i agree that Pearl Harbour had a lot to do with defeat of Germany, but Germany was allied with Russia until 1941, and Stalin didn't want to attack Germany, he wanted to ensure a proper defens if Germans attack, he was building the defensive army, he would have stayed allied with Germany, that's what i think, and Germans were being defeated in 1943, before landing on the Omaha beaches.

@hazemvirus Hindsight is 20/20 Hitler was going by past experience of the Demyanskpocket which 90,000 men were supplied by air for months and if Hoth would of listen by bypassing Voronezh in the first place the battle for Stalingrad would of never happen. as for Africa it was Rommel who talked Hitler out of taking Malta . Because he wanted the forces earmarked for it to take Egypt then later he had the audacity to complain he wasn't getting any supplies!!!

Germany scored a great victory against England and France in 1940. Then, er, they invaded 4 small countries with whom they were not at war, followed by a 5th country also not at war, (Russia) with an old fashioned and disorganised army. Despite this the Germans failed to take Leningrad, Moscow, or the Russian oil fields, and in a greatly reduced 1942 operation they were defeated at Stalingrad. So where are the 'victories'? In 1943 Germany was losing the war!

But after being a WW2 nut since High School I've come to realize, as arrogant as it sounds, Germany could not beat United States 1 to 1 for a few key 1# what makes the world go round? what makes thing move in this world? MONEY. The US had a lot more freakin money then the germans had. 2# economic and manufacturing capability. American auto intraindustry was #1 manufacturer pre and during WW2. We could pump out ALOT more planes(which allows ground control)

American material supply made the difference. Without Soviet men and without American material, Germany could not have been defeated ever.

I bleieve this was the Neretva offensive. The Ustasha and Boznian SS Handzhar also took part in the battle. Tito's forces escaped with heavy casualties.

No with all due respect. Those who wore a uniform against their enemy were combatants under international law. Also, they too had to respect the rules of war. Partisans, like the IRA, used civilian clothes to cover their illegal acts and incite retaliation, as allowed by law, against civilians in areas where illegal acts took place.

Partisans are not freedom fighters. For instance, in the USSR partisans acted inhumanely against Axis forces and local people. They acted to incite Axis retaliation against civilian populations as Tito did in Yugoslavia. Partisans also had no democratic mandate.

This vid was taken in June 43. The turning point for Tito's Partisans was around December 43 when the fire was put back onto the occupying German and collaborating forces till their retreat back to Germany in April 45.

Incorrect! ALL Partisans wore a uniform, even one piece of a uniform, A hat, shirt etc.....We were a proper army, made up of amateurs who kicked the butts of a bigger better trained military force.

man... u must have been living in a barrel. Your M1 was impractical when compared to G43 or STV40 because of it's clip/magazine system. M1 and kar98 are completely different types of weapons. Oh and btw. U-boat were state of the art submarines back then and no allied submarine could not match them. And if you really want to declare someone a winner in that war, it would have been the soviets.
