I had 100 neighbors and sadly i clicked on mailbox with boolprop cheat and they all came 2by2 till the computer froze.

@TheSims3Creative it actually depends on your computer. I have two computers fortunatley one is an old computer which only is used for internet and sims 2 play its not an everyday computer so there are not a lot of programs on that computer because they are all on the new computer :)

I was reading the comments and there's some stuff I'd like to add.

I have Open For Business, Nightlife, Seasons, Bon Voyage, and custom content and my game goes slow depending on how big the lot is, how much stuff is on it, and how many people are on it. I dont really think it matters how many EPs you have.

And 2nd, it might be kind of stupid that I'm asking this because I'm getting this game in a few days and I probably won't get a reply for a month, but do pets have a certain lifespan?

@missallthat5680 Getting a memory upgrade really sped up my Sims 2. It was super slow on a G4, average on a G5, and SUPER on the Intel Mac.

Depending on the age when you get the pet (puppy, kitten, adult), they can live through a Sim's babyhood, toddlerhood, childhood, and teenage years. They usually pass away during or right after the Sim completes college, OR last through a non-plat adult Sim's adult lifetime. At least that is what happens with mine.

@gccn Alright! And if you use the "aging off" cheat, will it work on pets too? The only way I've heard of giving pets an extended lifespan is to use this one aspiration reward. And there's a cheat for puppies and kittens that I know about. But that's all I really know.

@missallthat5680 I know the cheat with the Insiminator does stop the pet's aging because it's made for Pets/Seasons/etc (you have to download the correct mod), but I'm not sure about the one that you just type in.

Also, the womrats and birds in pets live forever; like fish. As long as you feed them and keep their cages clean, they will live forever. You can also get a new fish aquarium in pets.

Yes and no. You can turn off the life span so they never die and second they live from babies (puppies/ kittys) - ELDERS just like ur sims but they have less days

i almost cried when my first sim pet died cause it was not sudden didn't even see how close the dog was too death reason it was sad is my sim was on the verge of being rich and promised myself was gonna give the dog his own room :D then he died and i was really sad cause my story was ruined and wouldn't get the dog back!!!!!

Nope, Sims pets usually die of old age, after many Simdays/years of being happy, sassy, stubborn, plump, babied animals. =)

like if you got a toddler and a dog on the same day will they die the same day (presuming they wouldnt die of toher cause except old age)

If you get a puppy while mom sim is pregnant, the dog should still be alive when the child graduates from university, if you strictly play that sim through college. I've had dogs turn into elders before a sim reaches college age, though.

Actually, this only goes so slowly when you're recording a movie. Other than that, it's fairly fluid. It also has to do with the computer being a G4. My G5 movies were much better.

It was an elder. I can't remember how many Sim days that is. They live almost as long as a human Sim, though the fish, birds and guinea pigs live until someone stops feeding them or they're turned loose.

Depends on how good you take care of it. =) Puppyhood is about 4 days, adulthood is 20-something days and elder depends on how well you've cared for it over the days.

I know you said PM, but I think others can benefit from this. Yes, you can bring any living thing back to life. You need the University EP and to graduate from college then get to the top of the Paranormal career. You then get a phone you can call the grim reaper from and for $10,000 you can bring back the dead.
