@thebratzandwinx I prefer MH because they are far higher quality than Winx, and I also think that they're more unique. Then again, MH is more unique than any other playline doll series I've ever seen. Ever. I also prefer the articulate joints on the MH dolls.
Oh, and they're cheaper, and can be found in Canada. Unlike Winx (currently) where I need ebay, and upwards of $50-70/doll.
I still love Winx, though...don't get me wrong. I'd just rather spend my limited funds on MH right now.

@mrslalapupa As far as I know, Monster High is currently only available in USA, Canada, and UK. I've seen some Spanish TV advertisements appear on Youtube, as well.
Since they're made by Mattel, I'm sure they'll be released worldwide in the future if successful in their current markets (no problem there). However, if you don't want to wait I know you can find all of the available dolls on eBay (american/canadian), and many sellers DO ship worldwide. Of course, you'd need Paypal first.
Woah Holt isn't what I expected. I thought he would look really human cause Mr. Hyde is practically human anyways. He also looks like the hot guy in the cartoons but with blue skin.
@cakecrumb095 Maybe Jackson Jekyll will be the hald that looks more like a human. After all, wasn't Jekyll the doctor and Hyde the monster? I think that's how it worked...
@Hewyie Hehe, just a little bit. I still plan to continue collecting Winx Club dolls, but Monster High will take precedence because they can be bought in stores where I live...while Winx dolls usually to come from Europe.
But since Winx is coming back to TV in Canada on Nick, Nickelodeon also obtained merchandise rights, so maybe Winx dolls will come back to North American stores, too!

And after owning sometimes 12 dolls of one character (my Winx doll obsession is a bit out of hand XD), I'll be getting at least the Frankie Dawn of the Dance. Maybe Cleo. I really want them to make Ghoulia, Lagoona, and Draculaura...I love the outfits they're wearing!!!
@OhMyAlyssa311 I never saw her myself, but those pictures of Ghoulia and Holt were taken at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con ;) Monster High had a booth/display this year there. That's also where that grey-scale Frankie Stein is from, if you've seen pictures of her around, too.
The dolls will be available either late December 2010, or early 2011.
@Bell1255 I love all the boxes, since they're the same in terms of style, but then each unique to all the separate characters with the colors and "taglines."

I agree!!! It's SO nice to spend $120 and get 6 dolls...much better than spending the same, if not more, and only getting 1 or 2 as per what happens with Winx nowadays. =P Plus MH trumps Winx...the details and designs are just...PERFECT!

I mean don't get me wrong I love Winx but Monster High is so cool! I can actually go to walmart and buy them! They will actually be available in the USA unlike Winx. The MH dolls are way way more pose able then Winx; you can switch their outfits with no problems whatsoever! There are a lot of reasons why the Monster High dolls are better than the Winx Dolls!

I'll always love Winx - kinda hard to let go of something I've been obsessed with for over 6 years haha - but MH is available in Canada, and decently priced...and that's just awesome!!! Plus, I am obsessed with how posable MH is, they are WAY better than Mattel, and even surpass Simba easily. I much prefer articulated dolls to the bendy limbs. And I am obsessed with the MH hand posability. I love hands (haha, yes...), and MH hands are freaking awesome to pose!!! =D
@holhez21 lol yeah I know what you mean. Yes just one of the many reasons why the MH dolls are better then Winx Dolls. Me too!!! You can pose them in sooo many different ways that you can't with the Winx Dolls. I mean my only problem with the MH dolls is that I just wish only their hands you can take off. Their elbows are just a pain when they fall off, maybe Mattel will change that. Other then that they are perfect! XD
@kurenai16 I agree with that. It's not horrible on Frankie, Cleo, and Deuce, but with the others the long-sleeved shirts make it harder. With Draculaura the fishnet fabric isn't "solid" so it's easy to see when the elbow is in, and Lagoona's hoodie is only a half-sleeve, so you can push it up...but Clawden's jacket is "solid" fabric and it can be hard to tell when her elbow is in place or loose. I know it's to make re-dressing easy and also "fits" the monster image, but it CAN be annoying =P
@holhez21 Yeah, I mean it would be a lot less stressful if only their hands come off instead of their elbows and hands. Yeah, and Deuce's elbows come off easy when I'm posing him in different positions.
@kurenai16 I agree...maybe they'll rethink that designing in future lines. But on the whole that's the only thing "wrong" with MH, and other than that they are PERFECTION! <3
@kurenai16 Last I heard it was supposed to be a live-action musical. If done right I think it could turn out pretty good, but again, it would have to be done "right."

@kurenai16 They would never use those voices because that's the Cinelume dub...the english movies are dubbed by a third party company (so, not Rainbow directly or Cinelume).
I wish Cinelume did the dub, though!!! I hate how Layla's given that stereotypical and totally fake accent *grumble* in the films. Her Cinelume voice is WAAAAAAY better.
@RRBvampgrl No, no...the voices issue has nothing to do with Monster High. It's about different voices used in some of the Winx Club english dubs for the TV show and movie.

Deuce I like much better in person that I thought I would from pics on the internet; he's one of the best boy dolls I've seen in a while (let's face it, males just weren't intended to translate well into doll form haha XD)

Canada seems to be getting them at Toys"R"Us, Wal-mart, and Zellers.

And after owning sometimes 12 dolls of one character (my Winx doll obsession is a bit out of hand XD), I'll be getting at least the Frankie Dawn of the Dance. Maybe Cleo. I really want them to make Ghoulia, Lagoona, and Draculaura...I love the outfits they're wearing!!!

@OhMyAlyssa311 I never saw her myself, but those pictures of Ghoulia and Holt were taken at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con ;) Monster High had a booth/display this year there. That's also where that grey-scale Frankie Stein is from, if you've seen pictures of her around, too.
The dolls will be available either late December 2010, or early 2011.

I agree!!! It's SO nice to spend $120 and get 6 dolls...much better than spending the same, if not more, and only getting 1 or 2 as per what happens with Winx nowadays. =P Plus MH trumps Winx...the details and designs are just...PERFECT!

@holhez21 lol wow that's a lot of dolls. Yeah 4 MH dolls for $120 instead of buying a musa doll that's like $70 or more just for one! I mean don't get me wrong I love Winx but Monster High is so cool! I can actually go to walmart and buy them! They will actually be available in the USA unlike Winx. The MH dolls are way way more pose able then Winx; you can switch their outfits with no problems whatsoever! There are a lot of reasons why the Monster High dolls are better than the Winx Dolls!

I'll always love Winx - kinda hard to let go of something I've been obsessed with for over 6 years haha - but MH is available in Canada, and decently priced...and that's just awesome!!! Plus, I am obsessed with how posable MH is, they are WAY better than Mattel, and even surpass Simba easily. I much prefer articulated dolls to the bendy limbs. And I am obsessed with the MH hand posability. I love hands (haha, yes...), and MH hands are freaking awesome to pose!!! =D

@holhez21 lol yeah I know what you mean. Yes just one of the many reasons why the MH dolls are better then Winx Dolls. Me too!!! You can pose them in sooo many different ways that you can't with the Winx Dolls. I mean my only problem with the MH dolls is that I just wish only their hands you can take off. Their elbows are just a pain when they fall off, maybe Mattel will change that. Other then that they are perfect! XD

@kurenai16 I agree with that. It's not horrible on Frankie, Cleo, and Deuce, but with the others the long-sleeved shirts make it harder. With Draculaura the fishnet fabric isn't "solid" so it's easy to see when the elbow is in, and Lagoona's hoodie is only a half-sleeve, so you can push it up...but Clawden's jacket is "solid" fabric and it can be hard to tell when her elbow is in place or loose. I know it's to make re-dressing easy and also "fits" the monster image, but it CAN be annoying =P

@kurenai16 They would never use those voices because that's the Cinelume dub...the english movies are dubbed by a third party company (so, not Rainbow directly or Cinelume).
I wish Cinelume did the dub, though!!! I hate how Layla's given that stereotypical and totally fake accent *grumble* in the films. Her Cinelume voice is WAAAAAAY better.

@RRBvampgrl No, no...the voices issue has nothing to do with Monster High. It's about different voices used in some of the Winx Club english dubs for the TV show and movie.
Monster High is just in english, no worries!!! ;)

Yeah, Monster High is pretty awesome. Winx are so hard to get hold of now I'm only getting them for Christmas etc...
But Monster High and Liv are my favorite dolls right now! Tomorrow I am going shopping and I am clueless whether I should buy 2 liv dolls, 2 monster high or 1 of each and liv accesories... because a store in town just got monster high dolls in stock but all of the new liv stuff too!

@xxMazzy AHH!!! They all arrived in the mail today...I'm so happy, since I wasn't expecting them until later this week! Lagoona is just friggin AMAZING, she's my fav doll now! Draculaura's nice too, but her boots are too clunky in comparison to the rest of her body/outift. Deuce I like much better in person that I thought I would from pics on the internet; he's one of the best boy dolls I've seen in a while (let's face it, males just weren't intended to translate well into doll form haha XD)
