  • That... was actually pretty racist.

  • That... was actually pretty good.

  • Something worth pointing out is that the foreign cat here says "meow" at around 0:41. That's a very nice detail because in Japanese culture, the noise cats make is "nya".

  • @ZabHazard But the cat is from Canada.

  • @ErnulaCuilan Sigh. What I was saying was that the fact that the foreign cat says "meow" instead of "nya" is a nice detail because that makes the foreign cat more foreign.

  • Later the Japanese cat just starts screaming tongue twisters until the English-speaking cat recognizes a word.

JAPANESE CAT, Y U NO JUST LEARN CAT-ENGLIGH?

  • LMAO this is genius

  • .o. your engrish...isn't engrish....IT'S ENGLISH. O:>

  • "I LOST MY WAY" :D

  • That cat foreign never blinked O-O. Creeping me out with his bars for pupils.

  • This is a funny concept...

  • LMBO cats also have foreign language as well XD

  • and then they fucked

  • Somehow, anime cats are better at speaking English than anime humans. Who knew?

  • This is like the best spoken English I've heard in an anime. Ever.

  • he sounds like s creeper when he says "ive lost my way" XD so funny

  • @TheKuchisakeOnna I've lost...my way....

    /staaaaare

Just insert heavy breathing and BAM super creeper cat

  • I like how the Canadian cat speaks such good English that it even says the English onomatopoeia for "meow".

  • This is even funnier when you read the English cat's Japanese subtitles.

I'd love to know who translated the Japanese line "This has become a troubling/unfortunate situation" into "Things have come to freely pass" This made my day.

Also does anyone else think that cat-Japanese is the cutest thing you've ever heard?

  • @ercasseholly I think they were trying to say "things have gotten really bad", which if you think about it, sounds quite similar.

  • lolz thats's totally me when I go to Japan one day.

-tilts head- "do you speak english? "

  • i lost my waaaay

    so. so. creepy.

  • Wow...that cat has better english than just about every other attempt at english in anime

  • @nong333 Haha, I know. That's what I was going to say.

  • lol i love it!

  • kawai

  • I LOST MY WAAAAAAAYYYY.

That thing's even creepier than Chiyo-chichi.

  • I like how he says clearly "meow" instead of "nya".

  • Surprised Good English!

  • thats funny lol

  • Not bad, I understood him without the subs

  • Mike makes me laugh every time.

  • i love when he pops up like "Mmh?!" XD cracks me up

  • Exactly.

  • "Things have come to freely pass"..Uh..What?

Aw,the english cat is so cute!

^^ I wonder what happens if I had a cat and I took it to Japan.

  • its an english proverb, it means that the situation is bad

  • THAT WAS ADORABLE! who does the voice of the japanese cat?

  • According to Mr. Google, the common phrase is "things have come to a pretty pass". Buchi's line sounds like that if you listen for it, but without knowing the phrase beforehand it does sound like "freely".

  • "Things have come to freely pass" is a common phrase in Canada, but only among cats.

  • love this manga and now in anime Woo!

  • OK, so were is episode 1?? with English in subtitles at least.

  • I haven't found it with subtitles so I'm reading the manga. Really good manga, but I've just reached the end of the manga that has been translated.

  • even though it is a VERY old comment, the videos can be found on megavideo.

  • who does the voice of the calico cat? (the japanese one)

  • Tomoko Kaneda

  • why is it that the cat's english sounds better than Kate's?

  • Xenophobia has come to freely pass.

  • Yeah... It made no sense when the cat said that! XD

  • Hilarious!!!.^_^

  • It seems things have come to freely pass....
