One of Sidney Lumet's most complex and detailed New York City dramas! Gritty, razor-sharp. I mean, Scorsese surely must have been influenced by this film when he made Good Fellas. Certainly Ray Liotta and Williams are darn close in mannerisms, etc, and the crooked cops huddled around a family BBQ are right out of latter film. Whatever the case, this is a rare gem - and I'm surprised how few people have actually seen it!!!

Agreed. I'm always recommending the movie (and the book) to Godfather fans sensing that they will like a similarly deep/complex film like "Prince.."
Siskel and Ebert had it so right during an episode of their show when they were amazed that it didn't do so well at the box office.
