  • Great interpretation. Really enjoyed the vocals and the overall sound.

  • Much better than the original!

  • id like to see the 896 people that disliked this visdeo try and do better! this is truly an amazing video!

  • Great cover, I love it!! And the sax sounded really cool in there. And to those talking about his shirt, it says "Hecho en Connecticut," not Mexico.

  • this is so great! its fresh! another success Scott! haha <3

  • This is first cover of "Born This Way" it was made before the single release and I like it :) good job!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!

  • I think this is a beautiful interpretation of the song. It applies to EVERYONE. It doesn't need the shoutout to "gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgendered life" This song includes everyone and means that we are all basically the same, except we have our own unique quirks and lifestyles, looks and opinions. Get a grip people! It's an amazing take on an amazing and VERSATILE song. LikeLikeLike.

  • Wow, Love this.

  • ok seriously you just sung an amazing cover and half comments are about whats on your shirt?

  • I would have sworn this was Jack Johnson !! :O

  • I love this so much. always heard this in my time in london

  • Marry me? (:

  • Awesome <3 better than gaga herself

    only an opinion

  • does his shirt say "Hecho en..." (can't read what it says, but i have only seen those shirts in Mexico).... @tsmiller are you Mexican? if you are, that is way awesome!!! :o.....and by the way who cares if he sings the line or NOT! its HIS COVER!!....and no, I dont think a very talented artist like him is shamefull, or prejudice, or whatever you all call him for leaving that line out. @Tsmiller YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

  • That´s why it´s called "Cover" . Hecho en Mexico :)

  • To be honest,I don't even get why anyone covers this,if they leave out the main part of the song. Props to Sam Tsui, love that boy,he is amazing!

  • if he doesn't want to sing the line, he doesn't have to. whether hes a supporter or not doesn't matter, why does everything have to turn into a big deal? just enjoy his version of the song, if u don't like it, seriously nobody wants to hear from you.

  • damn way to make it country! lmao!

  • eres de mexico?.. o porque la camisa?

  • Just cause he left out the one line doesnt mean anything he still sung " another lover is not a sin" besides he can sing it however he wants

  • SAM TSUI IS THE ONLY YOUTUBE ARTIST TO HAVE THE COURAGE TO STAND UP FOR TRUE EQUALITY AND LOVE BY ACTUALLY SINGING THE ENTIRE SONG'S LYRICS THE WAY THEY WERE MEANT TO BE SUNG. otherwise, all you other "artists" are cowards

  • @tsasitorn there are a handful of other artists who have sung the entire song too. Tjones and Gootmusic and The Shures are a few others. But otherwise, everyone apparently has a PROBLEM with LGBT equality.

  • i dont get why so many of you youtube artists intentionally leave out the LGBT line in Born This Way. Its shameful. You say that the song is about love and equality no matter what. YET, you purposely leave out one line in the song and CHANGE the lyrics to "a different lover is not a sin" because you don't agree with LGBT equality. therefore you are not preaching true equality and love. it saddens me.

  • he kinda sounds like jack johnson right ?

  • nice work!

  • really don't like it..

  • For a group that supports love, equality, and inner beauty, the LGBT community seems to be a vain and hateful bunch.

  • @SebastienCade It's moreso based on the comments to the video whining and insulting the kid for modifying the song. Further, saying "you heteros" is just like saying "you homos." Your heterophobia is not only noticeable, it's offensive.

The cover is still fantastic, even without the line. Its about love for all, not just about people that are LGBT.

Oh, and I am gay. So please get over yourself and off your high horse. "You heteros?" Se loco!

  • magnificently)

  • very boring ! It would put you asleep !

  • Love it so much more than her original :)

  • the LGBT part is the best part of the song. The song lost all of its meaning bc you left it out.

  • Horrible cover!

  • he did it before lady gaga song ... so it's not a cover guys , he had the lyrics he did his personal song ! so carry on GUY You're awesome :)

  • Horrible cover..

  • oh my i think i love you.

  • Hey it's a really good version! I love it!

  • Where's the “No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgendered life" part?

The song isn't the same without it. I disliked.

  • @bluebloodsapphire shutup

  • @bluebloodsapphire it's a cover. He's original

  • @bluebloodsapphire You need to stop hating on people that are trying to make something of them selves like me as well so fuck you !!

  • @lucatw13 - Do you really need to curse? If you really want to make something out of yourself then start by trying to be someone that respects other peoples opinion. Remember that respect begets respect. I gave my honest opinion and I still feel the same way today. I am not hating, I merely stated what I felt.

Good luck with what you're trying to achieve! Hopefully your insecurities wont get in the way of it.

  • jack johnson

  • You left the point of the out bitch.

  • so nice

  • i want to cover a song

but tell me how can i sing????

  • Much better than Gaga, I like.

  • bullshit you left out th most important part

  • this is a great version of this song!!!!!! your voice is amazing (: t sounds alittle like jack johnson i <3 it!

  • im not les, gay, bi, or trans but i hate when ppl leave that part out of the song, that is the main message and u ruin the whole song by leavin it out. oh mah god...

  • @30zsProduction shutup

  • horrible!!

  • im disappointed with everyone who did a cover of btw :/ they ALL leave out the main message of the song. f youuuuuuuu cover-ers.

  • SO DOPE MAN...SO DOPE!!!! Its like Jack Johnson and Gaga had a baby!

  • @trjbroncos7 right?! hahaha

  • its just too slow but your a good singer

  • you have a tenor sax. I love you. I have a flute, we could jam sometime :P

  • SHIT!!!! CRAZY JERK!!!WHAT THE HELL!!!!

  • so you ruin the song this way

  • To all these haters bitching about the guy leaving out the "most important verse of the song": stfu already. This guy deserves major credit for putting this out BEFORE the song was even released, and based on Gaga's snippet chorus ALONE. On top of that, he still sang the lyric "a different lover is not a sin" which speaks a lot on it's own. Give the guy credit, he deserves it and it's a great cover.

  • I agree a 100% with SebastienCade!! WTF?!?! I've seen 6 covers of this song and 5 of the singers left out the punchline of the song: the LGBT support. The only one who stayed true to the original message was Sam Tsui, everyone else can shove their ruined song up their whatever-they-want.

On a completely unrelated note, I think your shirt says "Hecho en México" but It looks longer... so I'm not entirely sure :S

  • @SiUltapz cus Tsui is gay too thats why.. but everybody can sing the songs how ever they want................................ i loveeeeeeeeeeee it like this<=

  • Most of the covers leave out the LGBT verse. No need for an imagination to see why. It's stupid, the whole point of the song is to put across the message of everyone being equal, but by leaving that pat out in the cover it could suggest that you don't believe they are equal. If you are going to cover the song, sing all of it, because if you don't you could be showing yourself to go against the message Gaga wanted to put across. kay.

  • I'm really sick of hearing covers of 'Born This Way" that choose to cut only the verse "No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life. I'm on the right track baby, I was born to survive..." Seriously??? Isn't it kind of an LGBT anthem!? Isn't tolerance the point of the song!? Why ONLY cut THAT verse??? You can defend it but it was the only verse cut.

  • @motokois1

That's what I'm so confused about, almost EVERY cover on Youtube excludes that one line. It ruins the covers for me, but I can't deny he is talented. It doesn't make you gay to be supportive of them, and it seems people think that way. It's annoying.

  • @SebastienCade Very well stated. i totally agree.

  • i love this tune and was checking covers and i got to say your cover is very good

  • Holy Shit, You just ruined it all. U messed up the main line, u shredded the verses and the chorus. I'm all lost between hotel california and "one". Don't u fucking call this a cover if it's a totally new song with the same words.

  • Aw.

I remember that before the song did release I listened this and I sang the song whit this beat everyday until BTW came out lol

  • i was starting to like it but you left the most import message here. Dislike!

  • boreeeeeeeeed! ._. :X

  • You sweet, beautiful, talented, lovely boy...don't listen to all these haters. You're wonderful, the interperation of the song is wonderful, your voice is wonderful, you're playing is wonderful, and most of all your energy is wonderful. Don't let the negative inside. Don't stop...don't ever, ever stop.

  • I HATE IT

  • I SUPPORT AND PROMOTE NEW TALENT´S...JUS HOLLA AT ME!!

  • How many times can I press Replay???? So amazing! I can listen to you all day!

  • this is homophobic shit.

  • nice change ! please check my acoustic version of Born This Way

  • 1 word = Boomz <3

  • Nice shirt

  • very nice interpretation

  • are you all fucking stupid ?

he just took the words and put them into a new melody ?

    WHATS WRONG WITH IT ?

I LIKE IT, its a little bit jazz and soul, very difficult by a man

    NICE JOB!

  • a very special interpretation of this song!

you are a very good musician! thumbs up!

  • Enjoyed it until I realized you left some lyrics out that are important, and trust me they are clearly sung by Gaga so no excuses....

  • Good ! (Y) :)

  • sucks i agree if your going to cover it .. put all the words into it sucks ass

  • Amei essa voz. Quero um disco acústico inteirinho pra mim.

    :-)

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • wooooohoooooooo acoustic version :3

  • it really annoys me when people cover this and leave the same verse out...

  • FACT: another boring random guy using a lame lady gaga song to get attention because he is too dumb to create his own music.

  • @bethcarliseh did u do a cover i dare u see how lame you are!

  • whaw amazing! I am singin a cover too of 'born this way' Its my first. I don't play guitar or piano, but I'm playing clarinet and drum :) that's nothing to sing with so I have it done different, I hope you like! :)

  • Hey there guys!

    I LOVE THE SAX!!!!

    That's all! xD

  • The saxophone is probably the sexiest instrument EVER. The message you send out by not including that infamous line is a sad one though. The rendition was beautiful anyway.

  • *smiles with gritted teeth* .....dont give up the day job.

  • FACT: these guys are VERY talented.

OPINION: not the best cover of this song. Leaving out the "no matter gay, straight, or bi" verse is a HUGE part that gives the song it's main meaning/message.

I'll reiterate that the guys are on point with their musical abilities. They should definitely continue to stay musically active :-)

    Respectfully

    -defmode11

  • check out my youtube channel, I make singing and piano vids. It would be my biggest dream to be a singer someday! :)

  • wow.

  • Ugh fuck all these covers. You leave out the main line you just ruin it for yourself, most Gaga fans are very supportive of the LGBT community and that line means a lot. Don't cover a song and leave out words.

  • @SebastienCade the guy has a talent, hes not covering gaga. hes doing his own rendition. I for got u were an artist like this guy.

    keep playing TSMILLER (y)

  • @sergeant69Er

I'm pretty sure when you sing an artist's song, you're covering it. And his own rendition seems to have every line except that little line. Did I deny his talent? No, but there's no excuse for excluding it. None whatsoever.

  • @sergeant69Er

And did it not say in the beginning "This is our interpretation based on the LYRICS".

  • @SebastienCade You took the words right out of my mouth, I've noticed the same thing too. I actually find that that the part "No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life, I'm on the right track baby, I was born to survive" is my fave part. IMO, the most powerful part of the song.

  • @SebastienCade theres nothing wrong with supporting the LGBT community but there's also nothing wrong with making a song your own.. maybe he doesn't want to send the wrong message and make people think hes gay if hes not.. I don't see any prejudice in leaving a few words out.. if you think the line should be there than you cover it...

  • @mikechecks Will people think he is disabled in some way by keeping THOSE lyrics in?? Gaga wrote this to unite everyone no matter what their ethnicity, physical/mental handicap, sexuality, or gender identity. He made the decision to consciously cut the "No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life...." Verse. He chose to leave out the LGBTA community. That, believe it or not, is a form of prejudice. This is exactly the kind of thing Gaga was fighting AGAINST with BORN THIS WAY

  • @motokois1 you people seriously think everybody who doesnt agree with you is wrong. you have your views dont push them on other people. he probably likes the song but doesnt agree with that message.so fuck off.

  • @thedavidleemusic

Why do you care so much if people are offended? He uploaded it online to hear REVIEWS. Obviously everyone hates that he intentionally DROPPED A FUCKING LINE! It's the most important part of the song. Why don't you fuck off.

  • @SebastienCade dont watch the video then. some people just like the song but dont agree with certain messages within the song. dont be ignorant just cause people dont agree with you.

  • @thedavidleemusic

Don't watch the video then? I was looking up covers of a song I happen to enjoy, it's not as if I came to hate on the guy. You don't sing the song and leave that message out, sorry if you don't get how it feels to be LGBT. But it's a very good song and there was no reason to change the words so people wouldn't think he was "gay". It's no matter gay STRAIGHT or bi. Not GAY GAY or GAY. Get over yourself, I watched it once and gave my opinion. You do the same.

  • @thedavidleemusic

And there's no reason in the world you should like a song supporting homosexuality and still disagree with it. The song was wrote for LGBT mainly, find a better song that the artist would actually want you in their fan base.

  • @SebastienCade WTF is LGBT?!

  • @JemiLover3000

No matter Gay Straight or Bi, Lesbian Transgendered life... Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans community.

  • good ..respect !

  • yea sure ur beautiful :))

  • simply amazing.

  • when i thought i couldn't like it anymore. cute saxaphone man shows up :P

  • ORGASMIC. <3

  • thumbs up for giving me goosebumps. :D nice interpretation. :D

  • Bad copy the Boyce Avenue.

  • YOU LEFT OUT THE IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

  • Comment removed

  • OMG YOU PREDICTED THE CHORUS.

  • nice singing

  • it's so amazing :D

    i loooove it :) <3

  • it's nice to see that almost every guy left the "no matter gay straight bi.." chorus unsaid -.-

  • @lichtsturmjunge, It's because straight guys tend to be less comfortable with their sexualities than straight women.

  • chida playera.. e interesante interpretacion xD

  • wow, I really like your interpretation. Beautiful voice!

  • great guitar playing, but not really my cup of tea with the interpretation of the singing..

  • Iakgg!!

    ieul

  • omg, ur version of the song is amazing!!!!!! awesome guitar sound too!!!!!!!

  • sounds like a shakira song

  • good voice. LOL to Freiaism. If theres a Lady Gaga, there should be a Lady Gago! :))

  • great guitar playing :D

  • lord gago?

  • uff, can i kiss you? :i <3

  • You will inspire many suicides with this.

  • your voice is beautifully soft, i love it

  • i like when guys sing this song.

good job :) you remind me of jack johnson.

    keep up the good work.

  • @iceskatingmonkeys1 What the fuck? The song is for anyone.

  • good interpretation of the song

  • Great singing, but don't say cover unless you portray the message from the original song. Try: Abridged or Narrow-minded version.

    Great talent netherless! :)
