Luiz, your magnetic table is an inspiration to me, I was wondering if you had the dimensons, materials used, is the table itself steel? Any help would be appreciated, I am new to lathes and milling machines, I have a Harbor Freight 7X10 lathe and the add on milling attachment and would very much like to build a magnetic table like yours. I thank you in advance, if you would prefer to contact me via e-mail my email is mstew10034@yahoo.com

im wonder if i can use any kind of magnet, right now i have one that it came on a magnetic base for a dial indicator?
rosaliomorenocervant 2 years ago
I think that this magnet for dial indicator is not strong in the case
You need of magnetic parts of HD Computer (discarded)
The result is very good

Very nice piece of work.
I am waiting for the next part(s)
I like it when people not only show what they make, but are also happy to show how :-)
The subtitles are more than enough for me to understand what you are doing and why.
Thank you.

Luiz.
thank you for the dedication (pleasant surprise) and for taking the time to show me the magnetic table.
the magnetic table looks well thought out, inside and out. I was very shocked to see the amount of power those magnets have!! very powerful.
you mentioned that this was a prototype? will you be making a final version? I think this one looks beautiful.
whenever I may get a mill this will be a project I will take on. thank you for the constant inspiration :D
canbaja5 3 years ago
My definitive version the table will be made in stainless steel and no more in aluminum.
The appearance of the magnetic component will be much more pleasant, in spite of stay hidden.
Once more I thank you for appreciations.
