It's like saying having a cat on a leash and pulling it is against animal rights. You should get your facts straight. And as they said, thr cat was not doing what it would usually do. For example you teach a cat to sit, it knows how to do it all the time on command, but one day it just doesn't want to.

You say that cats and dogs are intelligent enough to help their owners survive, but it's so that the owner will keep on feeding them and caring for them. Manipulation does not equal intelligence.
