  • tragic figure that kurt

  • after death.....

  • for sure beat the original. its to bad:/

  • I hope Kurt Cobain and everyone finds peace before and after death

  • what a legend...

    what a senseless waste...

  • Kurt does good on the vocals for this song, but i LOVE the guitar!

  • cobain is my idol

  • Maybe there's still a chance to kick pop in the ass and bring back the good stuff.

  • unplugged was in 1993 not 1994 like you said in the description :)

  • Eis aí um cara que faz muita, mas muita falta mesmo.

  • hes my hero <3

  • YEAH:D

  • Man I hated this band back in high school, but damn is this song pretty fuckin good.

  • .... *O*

  • Why is it that the greatest are taken away? Kurt Pac Biggie, sad, wish they were still around. Then there was Heath Ledger in his epic role as Joker. SOmeone is going around doing this i tell yah

  • @spartanzed1 Except the fact that Kurt, Pac and Biggie all got shot. Ledger OD on something.

  • @spartanzed1 Kurt would've hated his own work by now 'cause of all the fans.

  • @thomlolz1 mmm interesting point

  • @spartanzed1 Don't forget about Brandon Lee, who can forget his epicness in The Crow. T-T

  • @WeAreVisionaries True true

  • @spartanzed1

    you forgot john lennon!

  • @spartanzed1 they either get killed by someone elese or drg themselves down because of the money they earn and because theyre broken souls from the beginning

  • buena rola la verdad me gusta desde México para el mundo el hombre que vendió al mundo

  • I speak Spanish and I do not understand what the song says but I love the voice of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana

  • @guropolokrispin your written English is very good... look up the lyrics and if u need any help just ask me, i will try to help. i can't tell you i know what cobain meant by what he wrote, but i enjoy helping people with english...

  • Kurt 4 ever!

  • It doesnt even sound live

  • Yes it is, that is not what I was saying. This man was not fated to die of old age. I honestly believe that we all are here to do something and when we have done so, we leave. It has nothing to do with happiness, age, or morbid reflection. I would struggle to think of a person who had so clearly achieved more than he thought possible and for whom there was literally nothing left to do.

  • @DeathShamans Where did he have to go? What did he have left to do? I cannot imagine a middle-aged Kurt Cobain, anymore than I can imagine a middle-aged frumpy Marilyn Monroe, some people give their all and have to leave.

  • ripdkc

  • One of my students asked me to play this song during music class...it's really good. I miss the good times when artists could actually sing and play an instrument and didn't have to wear meat dresses or post a video of them getting high in order to be justified as famous...where have all of the talented people gone? LOL They are on You Tube!

  • @MrDenJake Hmmm... Are you implying that roughly 20 years ago, every talented person was famous? cause that's just what it looks like. But of course it's not what you are talking about. Yet, 20 years ago, even when there was no youtube or even free home use internet, there were talented people who no one heard of them. And you even put lady gaga in this equation. Personally i don't like her, but she's just a character. Judas Priest/Rob Halford wasn't characters? They were. -Fallacy.

  • @nirvanafrik No,I'm not implying that every talented person was, or even is, famous.I was just reflecting about a time when many talented people were famous because of their talent not because they were on a reality show or ate weird things, were as dumb as a box of rocks or famous "just because"...of course there were characters and such but there always will be.There are many talented people on youtube and many who aren't.

  • @MrDenJake I know this comment was posted a while ago, but I just want to say I know exactly how you feel. Looks like people are giving you a hard time about this, and I don't see why; everything you said is true .

  • @nirvanafrik Oh shush, theres really talented people now always were and always will be that no one heard of and no one probably will.

  • @MrDenJake

as much i like your love for this. you must be a bad tutor if u dislike your students time. sorry not a native english talker. this time has its musicians. go find em. i know some

  • @shpinta I'm not exactly sure what you mean by not liking my students time.I think everyone is taking my comment wrong.Their are artists that I like that are popular right now.I was only thinking back to when I was young.Music has changed and the face of music has changed. It seems to me that a person can be extremely talented but if they don't fit a certain face or body type then they aren't famous and if an artist isn't weird that they are popular.Of course there is good music now-mostly here.

  • @shpinta To suggest that I'm not a teacher because I don't like everything that my students like is ridiculous.I am a very good teacher and I work hard to be so.Just because I don't like all of Lady Gaga's music or death metal or screamo doesn't mean I don't appreciate the artists talent. It jsut means that I don't like that music.I prefer music that matches my moods-whatever suits my fancy for the day.I especially like artists that are unknown-they haven't been mainstreamed yet.

  • @MrDenJake Choosing to listen to non-mainstream music just because those bands are unknown (unlike known bands of non-mainstream music, right?) makes it even worse. That's why everybody hates hipsters. Trying to be cool by not being like the rest actually makes you a douchebag. But i'm not addressing you, just think about it. Dream Theater and Lamb of God are not mainstream, but widely appreciated and known by most avid metal fans, for the good and for the bad. Just an example.

  • @nirvanafrik I think the limit of 500 words is limiting what I want to say in a clear way.I do listen to mainstream music!I'm not a douchebag and I'm not trying to be cool.I just like to find people that aren't well known because they are usually, and I stress usually, original and not worried about impressing people but are juts doing what they love which makes me love their music.I love classical, country, rock and all kinds of music.I find it refreshing when someone is awesome and original.

  • @MrDenJake Nothing is limiting you, by the way. You could send me a PM if it was so important to you to explain yourself.

  • @nirvanafrik I like searching and listening to all kinds of music. My students usually give me lots of people to listen to.In fact,I find some GREAT things because of my students.I like that.I love "discovering" someone new and learning their music.I like the usual stuff too but new usually gives me something else to teach my kids-connecting them with the lesson-Or they are clued into something new too and they end up searching and listening.Isn't that What learning and education's suppose to be?

  • @MrDenJake Hmm, same thing happened to me with a different song. Although given that the song was "Rape Me", probably a different meaning to the story too >.>

  • @MrDenJake kurt cobain wore dresses and did plenty of weird things that got attention. so i think what your saying here is 100% hypocritical

  • @MrDenJake There's actually a lot of interviews where Kurt is/claims top be intoxicated.

  • Kurt has the coolest voice.

  • He die too young

  • so true the good die way too young.

  • @Bobbythehammer Just listened a couple of hours to this song > D12 - Good Die Young. It's a song about mainly dedicated and about Bugz, who was a part of D12 and got murdered for totally nothing.

  • @nirvanafrik yeah ive heard it dude, great track, D12 rock.

  • @nirvanafrik all honesty towards all of you just listen to what you like, leave the details and high equation bullshit to yourself, no one cares really the cycle will always continue... deal with it.

  • @GoodLifeGoodLove Maybe I'd agree if i knew what the fuck you are talking about. Did anyone say "dont listen to that - listen to that" here?

  • I heard this song on the radio today. I could've died a happy kid right then and there. ^^

  • fantastica canzone e grandissimo kurt cobain

  • i can definetly relate to cobains music ... hes a legend with a great music , just wish he could of got out of his depression i feel yea kurt i am in the same bout .... rip man...

  • take kesha i want that bitch dead.

  • Soo so true...take Gaga!!!!

  • Pure sexiness, 2nd only to David :D

  • @987m654e321 That's usually how it is....the original is usually better than covers, no matter how great the cover is.....There are only a few exceptions (Joe Cocker's version of Little Help From My Friends is better than the Beatles version, for example)

  • @IvelLlehctim Listen to Big Reel Fish's cover of Take On Me, then tell me your opinion.

  • @987m654e321 That's usually how it is....the original is usually better than covers, no matter how great the cover is.....There are only a few exceptions (Joe Cocker's version of A Little Help From My Friends is better than the Beatles version, for example)

  • DID U GUYS KNEW THAT CHRISTIANITY MADE UP JESUS IMAGE BASED ON KURT COBAIN!? O.o

  • love the sax' work on this (& the original Bowie / Lulu versions...) Cobain has the outsider touch a la Bowie....

  • Kurt credited Bowie every time he played it. can we leave it at that now

  • this song wouldve been much better if kurt wrote it. its still an awesome song though.

  • @TheJackiscool How the hell would the song be better if Kurt wrote it......it would have been exactly the same....

  • 0:18 <3

  • 2:55 and forward, wow

  • oddly enough i like david bowies music but to be honest this is exactly equal to his original version of it. i know most of you think nirvana is better that is why you all are commenting on this not on bowies vid. anyway to sum it up they are as good as each other ;D

  • bowie was a big influence in his life as was led zep, meat puppets and led belly

  • whatever this whips david bowies crazy ass

  • <3

  • in his drawings, why do all of them except for the one of Eddie look like a 3rd grader did it? xD Kurt's badass man.

  • FAce 2 FACE

  • Where did you get the picture from at 0:26?

  • if you guys didnt know this isnt kurts song it is david bowies kurt just did an awesome job with the cover in new york

  • @MrAmsterdam1911 Why pointing that out?

  • @nirvanafrik in the other comments it semmed like people didnt know that this is david bowies song.

  • @MrAmsterdam1911 Let it be.

  • @nirvanafrik

lol why not give credit where credit is due?

    knowledge is power.

  • @skankon Nirvana are those who need to credit this song to bowie, not me and you. It's just the people like showing that they know stuff, even if it's not really necessary.

  • @nirvanafrik sir that is the only comment on youtube ive ever seen that kurt cobain would approve of just let shit be

  • @MrAmsterdam1911 ahh but Lulu didn't...

  • @MrAmsterdam1911 I think a lot of people know this is bowie songs because Kurt used to intro the song often by saying it was bowie's song. BTW in my opinion Kurt sings it better.

  • God? Is that you?

  • prefer this version over the david bowie version

  • R.I.P KuRt C0b4!N ... <3

    N!Rv4n4 4 3v3R

  • Rest in Peace, Kurt Donald Cobain...

  • Give us back Kurt Cobain and we will send you Lady Gaga!

  • @DeineMae ...and Justin Bieber!

  • @nanadasna Then for Justin Bieber we'd get Ian Curtis back

  • @DeineMae

What you would give for Lady Gaga...they don't care about your deal. They will take her too. Soon...

  • @TonyTheTigre100 no, cuz only the legends die young, unfortunately....

  • @Milkshakeguy

Only to live on in our spirits.

I appreciate that deep punchline, bro =D

  • @DeineMae With pleasure.

  • @DeineMae AS WLL JUSTIN BEIBER

  • @DeineMae not fair for the allready dead......xDD

  • @DeineMae

Lady gaga is not worth as much as Kurt Cobain

  • @Achillesthegreatest1 comparar lady Gaga com o kurt, é como comparar deus e o diabo, e dizer que são equivalentes.

  • @DeineMae dont forget justin bieber

  • @DeineMae

this would be the most lopsided trade of all time ;) ...

  • He reminds me of Max Bachman. Randy's nephew who I met this summer.

  • @Starlababy In my highschool there was a guy 2 years older than me called Max Bakman. Lol.

  • 1:13 --> he totally looks like my brother three years ago =)

  • the last picture of Kurt is so real.

I wish i coulve met him.

    but that will never happen.

  • best cover of any song i have ever heard

  • I know the man who sold the moon. True story.

  • nirvana is the shit way better then david bowie

  • @TheHottie181 apples and oranges bigtime, don't compare

  • muy bueno..................

  • David Bowie was a poet. Like Divinci with his Art. Nirvana, does a good version. and Kurt is one of the immortals and will never be forgotten.

  • 2:49 looks like edie from iron maiden

  • 0:19 awwww lol

  • Sie waren einfach nur Gienial

  • RIP... too young xo

  • nirvana lo mejor,el mejor grupo que halla existido carajo te lo digo yo del epru raul antonio....hijos de putas.

  • my older brother looked same as Kurt Cobain when he was on high school

  • @bulldogg1111 they all say that..

  • @nirvanafrik but he really did but my bro had darker hair :)

  • @nirvanafrik

haha every time you reply you're just being negative

  • @bulldogg1111 sigh. no one can ever be as good looking as he was.

  • @001jhl maybe not but he did had resemblance as kurt

  • shut the fuck up talking about religion all of yey , religion and money is the problem with the world , if i go on a tupac song theres cunts rantin on about him being a converted muslem , i go to a wednesday 13 song and there christians bitchin about there imaginary friend god , i go to a nirvana song and yer talkin about islam and judas and jesus , why

  • @BOYLOBOYLO looks like the world doesn't have anything else to talk about lol

  • damn! this song kills me! it´s so great!

  • it has nothing to do with religion, it is thought to be a reflection on david bowies battle with splintered or multiple personalities. By the way David Bowie wrote this first. It's also compared to the works of H.P. Lovecraft, and thought to be inspired by the peom Antigonish. So no it has nothing to do with religion.

  • fucking good...

  • Nirvana's great, and this is a pretty solid cover, but I still prefer Bowie's version.

  • is my favourite song of nirvana

  • This right here is my cut!!! lol

  • its all about reading your unconcious

  • I think this song is about inner demonds.... that's at least how i interpret it, but i don't think it was about jesus

  • why is everyone talking about religion and all taht philosophic stuff?

cant anyone just enjoy a good song and just dont ask any questions about what it means and why people wrote that and all taht?

just listen, music is made for that.

  • please come back

     KURT

  • 1993 not 1994 unless you're talking about he's dead well yeah but stil he never left i think, he's music did not let him leave. Poor Kurt, lets all released him please he has to find salvation regardless whatt the Bible says. He was still a boy when he left plus remember a guy really matures when he hits 40 yeras of age. if not loof at all you loosers!!!! sorry truth hurts i know but it's ok daddy is here with you!!!!!

  • @cartelito11 This unplugged session happened in the fall of 1993, but it was released as an album after Kurt Cobain's death in 1994

  • this song is so awesome

  • If u think about this song its actully all about kurt cobain and how much we love him its like he played this song cause he knew that when he would kill himself, he sold the world!!! WE LOVE U KURT!!!

  • i know David bowie made this song... but i find the nirvana version better... it's more rock than the last wan (IMHO)

  • I like this version better than david bowie's version even though david's the original.

  • 2:22 just proved that Kurt Cobain is Jesus.

  • who the hell thumbs downed the song?

  • the best song

  • Kurt was crazy!.. amazing artist!

  • The only reason we would not have been given free will is to avoid the devil having any power to mess with us, but this would have been like admitting defeat to the devil and would tbe tantamount to selling the world to him. Then our souls would wander forever never finding peace.

  • great song but weird lyrics. It sounds like Bowie was telling the story of the world if God did not give people free will and Jesus therefore would not have had to die for our sins. Then we would have lost or never had the world of free will we live in today.

  • best cover song ever

  • pure magic....i still love this song....

  • Is this song about judus?

  • @lamp4shade Judus? Jesus? Why's everything about jesus to you all, fCs.

  • @nirvanafrik he meant judas. It makes sense. Cause judas sold jesus (the world to him) to romans for the price of a slave.

  • @nirvanafrik I believe he means Judas.

  • @nirvanafrik lol yea no joke... a book that is so influential.

  • @nirvanafrik

You're right. Cobain's hidden truth about his death...are threaded in his songs, as well as what the media is actually controlled by. Just thinking about "the man who sold the world" gives me...chills dancing on my body. (masons, is all to speak of)

  • @lamp4shade It's about the man who sold the world

  • @lamp4shade judus? i think this is about god.

  • @lamp4shade

LMFAO... don't you mean Judas....? God I'm sorry but this made me laugh so hard
