@elementx16 according to the game guide, you need the resources to upgrade the ship. Go to any planet you can find and send a probe to harvest the resources. Once you have enough resources, you can then upgrade the ship (or anything else) at the tech lab.

Jacob gives alliance armour

@MasterCheif248 If you take Tali and Legion, Thane will bite it that way and, believe it or not, Garrus will be impaled later on before he even sets foot on the collector base.

But if you downloaded Kasumi, she will die instead of Legion or Tali.

but no extended fuel tank nor probe launcer space it didnt seem to me "necessary" i thing ill make it alive any opinions?

@ElboTheHedgehog if you have any loyalty missions left to do, it will allow you to do i think 2-3 of them. thats why you all the loyaltiy missions before getting the IFF then you do legions then next time you hit the map you are off on your shuttle mission.

you don't have to do ANY mission for your crew to get the ship upgrades. all you have to do is ASK them about upgrades(Investigate - [NORMANDY UPGRADES])

although not all will have upgrades for the ship, but for their own abilities

@devispro not quite. When you're inside the Collector Base, you have to choose 'specialists' for different roles. If you don't make the right choices, they'll die regardless of whether or not they're loyal (though even the right ones will die if they aren't loyal). The Ideal choices are:

Second Fire team leader (both times): Garrus, Miranda or Jacob

Tech Specialist: Tali or Legion

Hostage Escort: Mordin

Biotic Specialist: Samara or Jack

Everyone will live if you follow those tips.

Only Jack died for me. I suppose I don't really care. Come on, I had to choose between her or Miranda, and I didn't have the patience to get huge amounts of Paragon to get Jack loyal again. I had all upgrades and the mission went very well. Only ones not loyal were Zaeed and Jack.

Miranda vs. Jack & Tali vs. Legion. The person that you choose to be on there side survives. and the 3rd is the squad mate you least use.

Not true. Miranda survived for me and she wasn't loyal. I could've fixed that afterwards but I was missing a handful of Paragon points.

You can have everyone survive, it's actually pretty easy. You can also have everyone die. It's all in how you upgrade everything, and who you chose to do each job in the final mission.

Easiest way to get Paragon and Renegade points is to be either really nice throughout the game or a real bad-ass.

If you want all to survive do like this hacking:Legion/tali Fire tean: Garrus/miranda. Shield: Jack/Samara. Excort: Grunt/Jacob.

The combination doesn't matter, Just be loyal with them all.

thane got taken by swarms because you took the wrong biotic for the shield

mordin has a 50/50 of getting killed even with his own upgrade. Just use him for evac, or keep him in the squad if he's loyal

Each of the special tasks in the last mission have 1-2 characters that will result in no deaths otherwise they result in a death or two picked out of your team.

From what I've read, You have to #1- have all weapon/sheild/hull upgrades to the ship. #2- You have to wait to do the Reaper IFF mission til after all character loyalties are done, and #3- Assign right personell for the right end missions (ie. Tech guy like tali for the vents, soldier for the fire teams, and biotic like Jack for the biotic shield).

i lost everyone except solus and the asari justicar. partly because my ship wasnt upgraded, making me lose jack, thane and legion.

on top of having the upgrades, i think you need to use the right people art the right time, oyu need to put someone who is a good hacker through the vent so they can close the door quickly. i sent jacob (who ended up dead). i sent the asari as to escort the crew members, because she was probably the most likely rto keep them alive.

I personally think they could have dropped a few more hints as to who makes a good choice, I personally felt it to be kind of random. I picked that 900 year old Asari to lead the team the first time because I figured she'd seen centuries of battle and would know her stuff... nope...

@Aetrion I let garrus lead the two other teams, which was the right choice seeing garrus used to be a commander of a squad, it worked, i let legion hack stuff, seeing hes awesome at hacking, samara did the biotic field and jacob escorted the crew to the ship(i just wanted him gone cause 2 niggers just dont go together)

@Regret696 Good choices, except for Jacob. Mordin should be the one to be the escort back (any character will do, but Mordin has the lowest defense). The team holding the room should have two GOOD defenders (Legion, Grunt, Garrus, Zaeed) and that should be enough.

I got everyone out alive: 1. Send mordin with the survivors, 2. Have Legion or Tali infiltrate for the engineering bit, 3. have secondary teams led by capable squad commanders I think I used Garrus, 4. For psychics use Jack she can hold the swarmers indefinitely. I think that is all but you should have all your teammeber survive the mission.
