This song surprisingly reminds me of the fact that the timelines of Megaman split all because of one competition between Dr. Albert Wily and Dr. Hikari. With Dr. Hikari winning the competition, it spawned the Battle Network and Starforce series', and with Wily winning the competition, leading to the original, x, zero, zx, and legends. all of this was of course hinted to in battle network 1. Don't know why this song made me think of that lol XD
@Hunteristics Uh...I don't think Battle Network series has anything to do with the robot series. It's more like a spin-off to the robot series, I think.
@Zero0mtk actually, I had some of my facts wrong in this comment. it was in Battle Network 3 that this was revealed, and the Dr. Hikari was Lan's grandfather, not his dad. If you beat Alpha in BN3, then Lan's grandfather appears in the final cutscene, and he looks exactly like Dr. Light. Dr. Hikari specialized in Network tech, and Wily specialized in robotics. That was just clarification to what i meant
@Hunteristics Yeah...I know. I finished BN3 (great game!). What I'm trying to say is that the reason they look alike, the reason they share the same name, is because BN series is in a sense a spin-off to the "original" series. In the originals he's "Dr.Light" while in BN series, he's "Hikari Tadashi (in the Jap version)" where Hikari = Light.
@Zero0mtk You know what? I'm too tired too spin my wheels in an argument that has no canonical bounds to begin with, so can we just agree to disagree?
Song basically represents the ending scene of the Zero series. Except that ZX more or less gave the Zero series' ending a giant middle finger, so this song is kinda moot in a sense. Unless they retcon ZX out of existence.
I said represents. I know this is the vocal version of Z3's ending theme. I meant that the lyrics represent the ideals that Zero protected in Z4. The whole "No need to fight" deal in the song is basically the representation of everything that X and Zero fought for. The song's lyrics partially represent what happened at the end of the Zero series, and then ZX gives it a giant middle finger with "Model V makes new Irregulars" and whatnot.
@RockXIII Where'd this information come from? I'm curious
Considering the MMZ4 ending was so much more fitting to be the "end" of the series considering Weil was dead, and Zero disappeared again. So that made a lot more sense, but ending it with MMZ3? Where did that come from?
I got it from ClementJ642's LP of MMZ3, and he's pretty accurate when it comes to Mega Man.
You got me at the ending part. From what I've read, though, Mega Man Zero wasn't even supposed to have any sequels. In an interview, Keiji Inafune said he treats his games like they're going to be the last one, all the way from the very first Rockman game. I assume that he did the same with the Zero series.
@RockXIII I guess he wasn't expecting the series to be nearly as popular as they always turn out to be then, right? lol...
That's actually not a bad strategy to go by when making games...Make each game have an ok satisfying ending, but make room for a sequel just in case...Brilliant, Inafune, Brilliant...
He has been wrong before, I do admit. However, most the time he is right.
Also, from Megaman(dot)wikia:
"The original packaging for the Megaman Zero 3 GBA game referred to it as the "exciting conclusion to the Zero series". Originally, this was meant to end the Mega Man Zero series, but the fans demanded another sequel so they can see more of the story, so Inti Creates made Zero 4 with the intention of truly making a period of the Zero series."
@MrMarco302 I haven't played Legends yet, so I can't tell you anything more about it. There are others who can tell, but I wouldn't know who the are anyway.
Music is kinda like sex, if the emotions are right and pure then the result is melody and harmony where as if you don't know what your doing then let's just say it can get verry complicated. Do ya understand what i'm saying?
I think what duskcloud means is you could use this song to get your rocks off in place of sex. In fact, I creamed my pants just hearing the first 20 seconds.

@kahux
Actually, Freesia was the song that ended the series. This song is played at the end of the third installment.

He knew that. He even said that. He said REPRESENTS. Besides, Zero 3 was supposed to end the series until Zero 4 was planned.

@RockXIII Yea and the Complete works states that they wanted to make a prequel (what happened between zero 1 and 2)instead of Zero 4.
I want them to make a game where you play as X and Zero in the elf wars.

@mrzisawesome That could be a megaman X9-Elf Wars?

@Arceus600000 good idea, but does zero series take place after the x series? I never got that
mrzisawesome 1 year ago
@mrzisawesome I believe there were 2 timelines in the Megaman/Rockman series.
Might have missed something but I think this is right. Early Late
Original - X - Zero - ZX - Legends
Battle Network - Star Force
