I am using TRD 4-1 extractors and a custom 2.25" exhaust with only a little bit of muffler. I will be very happy with 180 at the flywheel if possible. I'm using VEMS standalone as well.
4 into 1 mandrel headers now with a flexi just before the flow master baffleless exhaust. from there it runs back and dumps just before the diff tube.
Funny you mention Kelford. I've been looking at their 194-B cams (the rally grind 270 in , 280 ex - 8.72mm) but I have been told that it is too aggressive for a blacktop with VVT. This will be a street car so I know I want to keep VVT.
Thanks for your input! What spec cam are you using of theirs?
the ones that failed were a cam grind from franklins. The ones I am running now (that have smaller degree rating = smaller cam) actually make more usable power and are from Kelfords (chch , nz).
hey i been trying to do some research on running an open itb on my 92rolla but i cant seem to get any info. what kind of ecu are you using and do you know any sites other then toyotanation or club4ag?
you would be contributing to a city overrun by civics and integras. where as i would be the only corolla. XD
yes its a 91- ae101 silvertop. They make slightly more power than the earlier red, blue and black engines as found in the ar82, 86, 92 etc ... dizzy and water inlet are in wrong place to mount rwd without mods so do some home work first.
to be honest the cams were a grind that failed horribly , wore down the lobes, never run right and costed me an engine eventually ... as per one of my later dyno vids i now run a billet set up top for road/ race with hd springs and custom shims
in one of my other vids i catch and almost take a 2.2 integra down the back straight ... depends if the b16 was worked and how welll the driver can drive a car.
hey mate how r u .. i think they are a awsome engine i have only just found out about theses. i just picked up a 1973 toyota corolla ke20 it a lil beast and i am going to put a 13b if i can or a worked 2.0L its only because i have laws on what i can drive would one of these be worth putting in my corolla cherrs locky
the factory 4ages are always easy repowers for those wanting more than a K can do (unless worked). early models have dizzy off side, later models have crank sensors so do make slightly less work. I love them ... easy to find and mix & match parts
Toyota state them as 160ps (bhp) but ive never seen a factory one make that, unless the gbox swallows more than usuall 20% drive they make about 130-140ps factory.
think it was a conservative 105kw at rears. once ive run it in its going back to them .. Im not interested in RWP outputs just track times as dynos vary to much
295 degrees now running 10ml lift (factory is 225 with 7.5) ... no .. the vvt is off with such a big duration. TRD list a 325 as full race so its just under as im still street driving. the computer is a link ecu
And 200 at the fly is a lot!

What cam brand were these that failed? I"m looking for cams for my ae111 engine and would like to learn from your experience.

Hey dude, what spec are the cams? I see youve done away with the VVT, did you touch the bottom end or is all the work up top? Cheers

what did u have to do to run the velocity stacks?
Boriquaj4lif 3 years ago
run an aftermarket ECU so i could run map sensor instead of AFM

where did you get those cams? here in the us it seems like there are no parts available for these motors.
i put a silvertop into a 94 geo prizm, i have an sc12 for it. i am just running the motor na for now.

custom made from jimtune off club-k. he needs two exhaust cam wheels and the centres are made from billet aluminium
