  • hate to cease yall plan im the rap repo man

  • This intro of Nas is better than various top hits of other rappers. Nas = Lionel Messi of hip hop.

  • I wrote a rap to this and I doubt it can even touch this.

  • one of the best hip hop intro of all times...

  • nas has 3 classics under his belt - stillmatic, illmatic and it was written.

  • @hiphopismydrug1 Godson, Distant Relatives, and Hip Hop is Dead are classics in my eyes too.

  • @aobb223 they are all good, but tbh they are only seen as classics to die hard nas fans, general hip hop heads see illmatic stillmatic and it was written as classics.

  • after takeover i thought nas was done all niggas knew that shit in new york late 01 but in december when this shit dropped he was back after jay-z nearly killin him and that piece of shit nastradamus i was happy that nas put out his best album in 7 years it was and still is a classic

I guess that's why they call him Nasty Nas lol

  • @TheKhutch911 I think the verse goes "I seen it all, did it all, most of y'all will pop for a minute, spitters sinners, then the game will get rid of y'all. Y'all got there but y'all ain't get it all, I want my style back, hate to cease y'all plans, it's the rap repo man."

  • SUPREME

  • I was no where near Nas on this beat but I feel like I held my own.

  • Blood of a slave heart of a king

  • @tamkukushka There is no point engaging in endless and nerve racking arguments with teenagers. We have stayed in the game for decades, heard rappers rhymed and we chosen one of the realest that have rewritten the way folks think about the genre. One of the realest that the game have ever seen. No need to trade unnecessary insults young man!

  • CHECK ME OUT-BIG P.R.E.M.E. ON YOUTUBE. PEEP THE TRACK- "THEY KNOW MY NAME" U WONT BE DISAPPOINTED....THANX! LETS TAKE IT TO WHERE LYRICS STILL MEAN SOMETHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol an intro better than 50 Cent's whole carrer!!!

  • @SundiataOfMali also better then your spelling

  • @SundiataOfMali Haha. Well Put.

  • The blueprint of a hot intro flow!

  • nas kills it!

  • You hear Nas bite Jay-z at :56? One Love

  • Sths i feel d same way but at d same rap supposed to be imaginary but powerful,u musn't go tru shit to be able to spit real shit, dis is pure genuis!

  • Nas is UNREAL.

  • I have said it before and I'm still going to say it again: Nas and Eminem are not in the same level. Eminem is like an aggressive hip hop student that uses hip hop to address issues that are related to his personal life; while Nas is a principled hip hop professor that have applied hip hop to almost every area of life, the same way some math professors have applied math into physics and chemistry. No doubt they all have messages in there works but they exist in different level.

  • @ibistanley My friend, if you can see me acting crazy right now over your comment. I couldn't have come up with a better comment to diffrentiate the two. And as a chemistry junkie, I can appreciate how you used science to prove your example. Well done.

  • @ibistanley that was pure genius!

put this on your resume you'll become a college professor

  • @ibistanley You're da man :D well said

  • @ibistanley And Jay-Z is the Dean, real talk

  • @wjk2109 LMAO, that was oneof the dumbest things I've ever heard on Youtube Lol, but I get it... That was a joke right?

  • @ConciousEcho yawn, men lie women lie, numbers dont, fuck are you talking about? Am I joking not at all. I didnt diss nas, but when it comes down to dudes metaphor if Nas is a principles hip hop professor then how is Jay-z not the dean? He runs the shit, hes the most powerfull and has the most money. That's what a dean does. Thats no disrespect to Nasir. so fall the fuck back

  • @ConciousEcho No I was calling you an intellectual midget, I wasn't challenging your opinion. The fact that the comment you were challenging said Nas is (principled) and you replied by saying Jay-z was the Dean, sounded like the sentiment of a moron, who doesn't know what the word principled means, but I gave you the benifit of the doubt...smh turns out I shouldn't have been so optimistic. What can you expect from a jz fan, Only a monkey can be intellectually stimulated by verbal fecal matter.

  • @wjk2109 jay Z even knows that you don't understand the meaning of lyrism. Nas’s Illmatic is not one of the greatest albums but it is actually the "greatest album" of the hip hop genre. When you say Jay is the Dean I don't really get what you are referring to. Well I can agree with you that Jay is the dean of mainstream. But note that Nas is the President of real hip hop. I know most of you all have crowned Jay because of his money but real hip hop is different from money making.

  • @ibistanley That's whats up

  • @ibistanley YESSS.

  • @ibistanley finally comment thats worth reading

  • FIRE

  • On another level than most.

  • Nas G.O.A.T.

  • blood of a slave hearth of a king

  • Comment removed

  • Er time i hear this i be like DAMN!!!

  • It's amazing how one man can give hope to so many people! Arguably the greatest intro of ALL-TIME.

  • 9 people are butthurt because he shitted on Jayz in this album.

  • @jnieves77 Actually I hate stillmatic but loved illmatic, It was written and I am....

Just My opinion he changed after 2000.

  • "narration describes the lives of lost tribes of the ghetto trying to survive"....real talk all of his songs do that

  • 2 words: "Oh yeeeaaaaa"

  • Nas is the king

  • 2Pac, Biggie, DMX and Nas

  • Greatist rapper alive... Nas not wayne

  • Its sad to listen to Nas then turn on the radio and hear Drake's gay booty pop music and they call him the best. Or Wayne Or Even Jay his music is bullshit 2 now

  • @kleankutkilla The only thing I dislike about your comment is that you mentioned Drake as someone who makes "gay" music, when he's not that bad. Now Gucci Mane, Waka Flaka, (etc.) those are the kind of rappers you should be sad for because kids today can recall all of their lyrics, but when told of MC's like Nas they go "who?"

  • @MQBone3 Come on man Drake is all hype. Dont let the media force artists down your throat his music sounds terrible and is hard to listen to. The media decides whos the new best greatest. He's ass!

  • @kleankutkilla Even though I did like that Karaoke song off his album, I totally agree.

  • @snipes1191 get off ur moms tit baby boy.....are you old enough to be on youtube? shy*T yall just dont fuckin know....study

  • made it through my youth

  • @snipes1191 Got to be jokin. Got To.

  • yo who is this dude? he really thinks he's better than drake or even like gucci? yall crazy mang

  • @snipes1191 u crazy lmao u white kid go play some baseball leave this to the big boys

  • Illmatic, It Was Written, I Am..., Stillmatic, and HHID are the greatest album intros ever

  • "This is my ending and new beginning"

  • ''stepped over dope fiends/walking out the door/all of us poor/i learnt the difference/between the snitches/the real ones/and who's soft'' muthafucka paint a picture don't he.

  • @Sameolg100 He damn sure does. Vividest imagery can be riddled within some of his milestone workings. I love and respect this dude when he's focused and walking a straight and narrow path. Need more of this in mainstream/commercial rap so it doesn't have to be so hard to find. ARGH!

  • The somewhat lackluster effort that nas put into nastradamus, coz he had to rush it after doing I Am... in 1999 is really in contrast with Stillmatic.

listen to something like, You Owe Me (which Nas tries to go into commercial rap, doing something that Jay-Z would do) then listen to Stillmatic.

it's just like, this is shitty.... WHOA STILLMATIC <3 <3

im pretty sure if he didnt drop this album, his career would be over with nastradamus and takeover by jay z

  • one of the hottest intros ever

  • @tjc232323- u rite, yes the best intro eva . nas killd it

  • I forgot how dope this album is;)

  • "Blood of a Slave, Heart of a King". I wish more rappers would say some real shit like Nas did

  • this is my ending and my new beginning

  • if u like the beat listen to stacet lattisaw "s let me be ur angke

  • @monielove2010 Thank you for that ... never heard of Stacey until i read your comment. What a beautiful song and voice she has. now one of my favorites.

  • @monielove2010 damn was your drunk when you typed this. It's Stacey Lattisaw, Let me be your Angel.

  • whatupp? i go by impulse, im 15 n i emcee... not rap lol. stop by my page n support the real, its very appreciated. btw, im better than (insert your rap name here). lol jk

  • *Honestly. This sounds like some Camron beat. I put it on God I had this Album when I was younger and I fucking lost it. On my way to Target to find it. Damn

  • This shit is so fuckin epic...ppl dont understand how complex his flow and rhyme scheme is...he has so many different patterns in 30 or so bars NAS IS A BEAST!!!

  • Sounds Like it should be on The Blueprint

  • Best intro ever on a album!I was down&out when i heard this it felt like my rebirth i had 2 get right!

  • @MauriticMenace15

    1.Big L

    2.Nas

  • 2 Pac

  • @MauriticMenace15 Tupac.

  • @HaletoExcile HES MUTHAFUKING DEAD

  • @HaletoExcile tupac is overrated. people think he's so good but he can't fuck with nas or any new york rapper.

  • @poltersol If you didnt listen to Tupac u dont understand. Hes evolutionary its not all about lyrical ability with him. No other rapper other than Nas did as much for the black community as Nas. He also had brilliant song concepts and great music making ability. Its not about being lyrcially amazing

  • @poltersol @MauriticMenace15 type in 2pac every thing they owe, or when thugs cry! lyricism & realness fused like no other! not to mention the genius of makaveli wit songs like blasphemy me & my girl friend-aka his gun! he started Killuminati too! as an artist he has more elements! Come On!

  • @nubianking17 dont be like funk master flex fellas! haha!

  • @HaletoExcile Tupac himself said ppl overrate him....
