@tamkukushka There is no point engaging in endless and nerve racking arguments with teenagers. We have stayed in the game for decades, heard rappers rhymed and we chosen one of the realest that have rewritten the way folks think about the genre. One of the realest that the game have ever seen. CHECK ME OUT-BIG P.R.E.M.E. ON YOUTUBE. PEEP THE TRACK- "THEY KNOW MY NAME" U WONT BE DISAPPOINTED....THANX! LETS TAKE IT TO WHERE LYRICS STILL MEAN SOMETHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have said it before and I'm still going to say it again: Nas and Eminem are not in the same level. Eminem is like an aggressive hip hop student that uses hip hop to address issues that are related to his personal life; while Nas is a principled hip hop professor that have applied hip hop to almost every area of life, the same way some math professors have applied math into physics and chemistry. No doubt they all have messages in there works but they exist in different level.
@ibistanley My friend, if you can see me acting crazy right now over your comment. I couldn't have come up with a better comment to diffrentiate the two. And as a chemistry junkie, I can appreciate how you used science to prove your example. Well done.
@ConciousEcho yawn, men lie women lie, numbers dont, fuck are you talking about? Am I joking not at all. I didnt diss nas, but when it comes down to dudes metaphor if Nas is a principles hip hop professor then how is Jay-z not the dean? He runs the shit, hes the most powerfull and has the most money. That's what a dean does. Thats no disrespect to Nasir. so fall the fuck back
@ConciousEcho No I was calling you an intellectual midget, I wasn't challenging your opinion. The fact that the comment you were challenging said Nas is (principled) and you replied by saying Jay-z was the Dean, sounded like the sentiment of a moron, who doesn't know what the word principled means, but I gave you the benifit of the doubt...smh turns out I shouldn't have been so optimistic. What can you expect from a jz fan, Only a monkey can be intellectually stimulated by verbal fecal matter.
@wjk2109 jay Z even knows that you don't understand the meaning of lyrism. Nas’s Illmatic is not one of the greatest albums but it is actually the "greatest album" of the hip hop genre. When you say Jay is the Dean I don't really get what you are referring to. Well I can agree with you that Jay is the dean of mainstream. But note that Nas is the President of real hip hop. I know most of you all have crowned Jay because of his money but real hip hop is different from money making.
Its sad to listen to Nas then turn on the radio and hear Drake's gay booty pop music and they call him the best. Or Wayne Or Even Jay his music is bullshit 2 now
@kleankutkilla The only thing I dislike about your comment is that you mentioned Drake as someone who makes "gay" music, when he's not that bad. Now Gucci Mane, Waka Flaka, (etc.) those are the kind of rappers you should be sad for because kids today can recall all of their lyrics, but when told of MC's like Nas they go "who?"
@MQBone3 Come on man Drake is all hype. Dont let the media force artists down your throat his music sounds terrible and is hard to listen to. The media decides whos the new best greatest. He's ass!
''stepped over dope fiends/walking out the door/all of us poor/i learnt the difference/between the snitches/the real ones/and who's soft'' muthafucka paint a picture don't he.
@Sameolg100 He damn sure does. Vividest imagery can be riddled within some of his milestone workings. I love and respect this dude when he's focused and walking a straight and narrow path. Need more of this in mainstream/commercial rap so it doesn't have to be so hard to find. ARGH!
The somewhat lackluster effort that nas put into nastradamus, coz he had to rush it after doing I Am... in 1999 is really in contrast with Stillmatic.

Challenge: Nas is forever being criticised for not releasing albums of the quality of Illmatic. Just say we will given the task of making the closest record to the undeniable masterpiece by compiling 10 post Illmatic Nas songs on a make belief album. We will title the album: The Artist. Two of my track suggestions would be 'I gave u power & 2nd Childhood'
What songs would you guys put on and what name would you title the album with.
@poltersol If you didnt listen to Tupac u dont understand. Hes evolutionary its not all about lyrical ability with him. No other rapper other than Nas did as much for the black community as Nas. He also had brilliant song concepts and great music making ability. Its not about being lyrcially amazing
@poltersol@MauriticMenace15 type in 2pac every thing they owe, or when thugs cry! lyricism & realness fused like no other! not to mention the genius of makaveli wit songs like blasphemy me & my girl friend-aka his gun! he started Killuminati too! as an artist he has more elements! Come On!

@HaletoExcile tupac is overrated. people think he's so good but he can't fuck with nas or any new york rapper.

@poltersol If you didnt listen to Tupac u dont understand. Hes evolutionary its not all about lyrical ability with him. No other rapper other than Nas did as much for the black community as Nas. He also had brilliant song concepts and great music making ability. Its not about being lyrcially amazing

@poltersol @MauriticMenace15 type in 2pac every thing they owe, or when thugs cry! lyricism & realness fused like no other! not to mention the genius of makaveli wit songs like blasphemy me & my girl friend-aka his gun! he started Killuminati too! as an artist he has more elements! Come On!
