Nice review, at first I thought you were another young kid who knows nothing and hives bad reviews, no offence but that what I always think of kids on utube but I'm amazed you sounded so professional!!
if your a photographer who shoots images of people families and events is this good for that or is the standerd 18mm-55 good for it which one is better to you
I'm sorry but this is one of the lightest zoom lens I have used, I would recommend buying the battery pack for the canon t2i if you feel the weight is being thrown off, because it is light like you said, and the battery pack is definitely worth it, well done on this review though.
This should have gotten 10/10. It's heavy because there is a lot of glass in that lens. You really don't want a light lens unless you are looking for some cheap plastic optics and poor build quality.
@ExcessMinecraft The "grain" is actually caused by the camera body. Because the T2i has an APS-C sized censor, it cannot take in as much light as something like the 5D Mark II which has a full frame 35mm censor. The smaller the censor, the more noise.
Nice review. I got this Lens with my T3i as a bundle package along with the kit 18-55mm Lens. Everything is closer to you than the 18-55mm Lens.

I think that the 18-200mm is the best Zoom Lens. (I got the 50-250mm too!)

@thetechzonelive (50mm F/1.8) :P Thanks, and i would've given it 9/10 eggs otherwise - because of its autofocus/grain.
