  • Nomar, my childhood hero. So many good memories watching him.

  • Nomar Garciaparra along with Drew Bledsoe are my Childhood Idols! And Both Should Be Given Serious Consideration for bothe The Baseball and Football HALL OF FAMES!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah - just another Gerogia Tech boy that made good!!!!!!!

  • Best Red Sox shortstop period

  • that brought a literal tear to my eye. Thank you Nomar! you changed my life!

  • NOMAAAAAR!!!!!!

  • Nomar Garciaparra and Pedro Martinez were my first favorite Red Sox fielder/hitter and pitcher. i remember watching them for the first time i dont remember what year it was but i remember varitek threw jeter out at 2nd to end the game it was my first red sox memory i ever had!

  • nomar was better than jeter

  • Alot of Yankee fans hate hearing this but if you look at the numbers from when nomar and jeter were rookies...nomar was the better shortstop all around, he just got overshadowed by jeter bc jeter had the rings. Had Nomar not been so injury prone..I think he could have been the greatest shortstop of all time..regardless Nomar will live on as an icon in Boston forever

  • Nomahh

  • i love nomar. i remember he was all we had. HE PUT DA TEAM ON HIS BACK

  • still doing that side arm sling throw..love it!

  • Thank You TonyC67, for the video. Great stuff. Can't wait for the 2011 season to start.

  • My birthday is 5/5 and my favorite number is 5 and my favorite player is #5 Nomar Garciaparra and if I was born one year later, my 55th birthday would be on 5-5-55.

  • love how he threw the ball at the plate! awesome!!!

  • OMG, Thank you! I love this. Nomar is the reason I watched/played baseball. I want to cry. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO. :)

  • when is Trot's day? I think the fans have more love for Trot, actually.....

  • thanks for the memories Nomar you are a great example for a great role model, we'll just have to wait until you get in the hall of fame and the red sox retireing big number 5.
