pretty much every band "sells out" once they get that big. you just have to progress with the band otherwise move on. I love every cd i own by metaillica, thats kill 'em all- black album, and i have St. Anger, and Death magentic, every one of those cds are good, they are all different in there own way, specially St. Anger, that cd is far from standard metallica, i like it though, its got some good riffs. not my favorite tho. can not wait for the new Megadeth CD tho and to see them live.kick ass

nah metallica might have lost some fans but they came back pretty well w/ death magnetic. and the know direction thing they didnt want to go a new direction they wanted to add some diff styles to their style. all in all i'd say (along w/ so much more) they are still at the top and will probably remain there long after death. megadeth will probably be at the top always too. and they did the same as metallica but had more a drastic change like risk went for rock

It was a demo and they had no name. Some demos WERE sold in specialty shops, but people began making copiesand as a result, no one bought the demos anymore [this applies to MANY bands, not just metallica]
Maybe lars can take some of that money he makes from his album sales to pay for you to get a decent education.

He can ask all he wants for them not to use them, but they were METALLICA songs by copyright law, which means even though dave had a part in writing them, metallica had every legal right to use them.

Some naives made DM god album. Its too bad album for Metallica's reputation, they tried to bring back their energetic oldschool attitude, but they failed. I havent listened any of Metallica album(to the point being enjoyable) since Black and i sugget the same. If you need thrash or heavy metal check out Metallica till Black Album, and throw the rest to the garbage. Otherwise soft sugar rockers can listen the rest of them and be happy.
